A list of puns related to "William Russo"
The 18th entry of this 31-day series features Dr. Death Steve Williams vs Sid Vicious in a Suplex vs Powerbomb Match on the 12/13/1999 Nitro episode.
A clip of this match can be found on the WWE Network starting at the 1:17:40 mark.
On the 12/13/1999 edition of Nitro, Dr. Death Steve Williams faced off against Sid Vicious in a Suplex vs Powerbomb Match. This match is a preview of the Powerbomb Match, as Sid sees Steve Williams as a stepping stone to his match against Kevin Nash in six days.
Sid Vicious and Kevin Nash are in the middle of a feud dating back to at least October 1999. This is the go-home build for their Powerbomb Match at WCW Starcade 1999 the following Sunday. That Powerbomb Match is entry #12 of this list.
Now, onto the match itself.
Sid Vicious is warming up with his guest backstage. Mike Tenay goes up to interview Sid. Sid introduces his guest, Seth. Seth has Down Syndrome, and is Sid's coach this evening. Sid then cuts a brief, very quiet promo on Kevin Nash, and says Dr. Death Steve Williams is just a stepping stone to Starrcade.
The show cuts back to the arena where Boomer Sooner plays. Steve Williams and Oklahoma (Ed Ferrera) walk down to the ring. The announcers out over Seth and Sid Vicious. They mention that this shows Sid's human side, a phrase they repeat a couple more times throughout this segment. Oklahoma has the mic, and cuts a basic "your football coach sucks" promo on Mike Ditka (the head coach of the New Orleans Saints at this time). Oklahoma talked with the "Powers That Be", and they agreed to make this match a "Suplex vs Powerbomb" Match.
Sid's music plays, and he walks down the aisle with his coach Seth. Oklahoma joins the announcers as a guest commentator, yay. Dr. Death attacks Sid outside the ring. The two eventually get into the ring, and the match starts (although the bell does not ring). Death hits Sid with punches, chops, and boots in the corner. Dr. Death tries a side suplex a couple times, but Sid blocks those attempts. Sid responds with right hands to Death's head. Oklahoma leaves the announcers' table, takes off one of his boots, and hands it to Dr. Death. Death hits Sid in the head with the boot, as the ref is trying to separate Sid and Death. Sid is knocked down to the ground.
Vampiro runs down to chase Oklahoma around. Oklahoma gets into the ring, and Vampiro follows. Vampiro gets clotheslined by Dr. Death. Sid gets up, and sets Death up for a p

Hello! I've dug up an old college text, "Composing Music - A New Approach" by William Russo, Jeffrey Ainis, & David Stevenson that is full of compositional exercises and guidelines. I haven't gone through the book in many years and thought I would set to working through the assignments in the book with a social aspect. Written in 1980, the book is slighted dated, but contains some great starting points and comes from the perspective that more restriction creates more creativity... while this case may be argued, it helps some one like me who can struggle focusing on a single task.
I'll outline the contents, chapters, and general guidelines in this post and as I complete assignments, I'll post them up on their own with scores and sound files.

General Rules for the Exercises
In the book, Composing music: a new approach by William russo, there is an exercise which says "Compose a melody of six to ten measures. expressing water: a lake, a waterfall or rain for example". I am quite confused. How can music express something physical? As far as I know, music can evoke many emotions that human mind can feel. Can someone, who read the book or who has an idea of music, give me an example of melody which expresses water?
Hi r/jazz! I wonder if anyone here can help me out? Does anyone know of, or have the score/parts to, the composition An Image of Man by William (Bill) Russo for alto saxophone and string quartet? It's a third stream (classical/jazz crossover) work written for Lee Konitz and I'm planning on programming it into a recital this year but I can't find it anywhere except for a handful of Universities that my Australian institution cannot get access to. I'd be willing to pay anyone who has the sheet music for a scan of the score and parts, or any redditors in NYC who could scan the copy at the Lincoln Center. Send me a PM if you think you can lend a hand!

Welcome to the Bonnaroo 2020 2021 2022 rumor and confirmation thread. With artist tour dates starting to pop up and festival lineups dropping for 2022, we can get a decent picture of who may be there and who is likely not going to be there due to conflicting dates
Before we begin, here's a quick look at 2019, 2018, 2020, and 2021 Rumor and Confirmation threads.
BONNAROO DATES: June 16th-19th
Please include links to the rumor or confirmation if possible.
Typically speaking, Bonnaroo doesn't have artists come back to back each year. That being said, this has been everything except typical.
Any help you guys can get is appreciated. The majority of the finds are done by you all, with that being said let's go over a couple ground rules, same as last year. I may not include every artist that gets mentioned - if I don't add your pick don't be offended. Also, I'm only one person, I'll try to update this post as much as possible - just be patient. The bigger the name, the more likely it's going to be added, especially the "OUT" section.
Also, HUGE shout out to /u/SimeonsDilemma, I'm using this format from a few years back, and of course the mods for keeping this place one of the best music festival communities on the internet.

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Matchday 16 Biggest Winners: >!Mallorca!<
>!On a run of 7 consecutive games without a win, many people (including me) already wrote Mallorca off and saw the game as AtlΓ©ti's tune-up match in preparation for the derby with Real Madrid. No one can fault them for assuming it, though, as AtlΓ©ti's previous match saw them drubbing CΓ‘diz 1-4 at home, highlighting a very good performance.!<
>!But Mallorca intended to prove them (and us) wrong. After Cunha's first goal, AtlΓ©ti were seemingly content to sit back and absorb the pressure, Mallorca attacking and were rewarded when AtlΓ©ti conceded from a freekick, Vrsaljko caught ball-watching as Franco Russo headed the ball in the bottom-left corner, just out of reach of a scrambling Oblak.!<
>!Mallorca ultimately reaped the rewards of their determination, as all AtlΓ©ti players were in Mallorca's box trying to attack, the ball quickly cleared out by Mallorca, and into the path of the sprinting Kubo, who had already made his run.!<
>!Kubo did not disappoint the traveling away fans as he nutmegged Oblak for the penultimate goal that would break AtlΓ©ti's resolve.!<

Korean rebels in support of Emperor Gojong.
Revolt and Retreat
Korea was the first major overseas colony of the Japanese Empire, with the Rising Sun shining upon the Hermit Kingdom for nearly 15 years prior to the beginning of the Pacific War, with the Japanese annexation of Korea following the Sino-Japanese War. It had been Korea where the fuse for the Russo-Japanese War was lit, and it had been Korea where Japan first succeeded in suppressing an independence movement. Koreaβs movement for independence would grow throughout the Pacific War, yet the heavy-handed Japanese tactics in preventing revolt would remain successful early on, even as the exiled House of Joseon began to gather followers. The claimant to the Korean throne, βKingβ Gojong was not incredibly popular by any means, yet his complete lack of power led to him becoming a point of unity for Korean nationalists, with liberals such as Yun Chi-Ho and Syngman Rhee, who had once led opposition to Gojong, now supporting a constitutional monarchy with him at its head while the Donghak religious sect Gojong had violently suppressed now considered him an ally.
The exiled King and his allies planned throughout 1898, but remained in watched exile in China. In mid-November Gojong would disappear from the watch of Japan and the world, before apparently resurfacing weeks later in Russian-backed Turkestan. This warned Japanese forces of the possibility of planning for an insurrection in Korea, yet with the Empire focusing on continuing its advance in Tonkin, the calls from Governor of Japanese Korea Kawakami Soroku for reinforcements of troops unheeded. In December, followers of the Donghak religion, largely in Northern Korea, began to organize. Japanese troops responded quickly and fighting broke out. Though officially classified by Japanese authorities as nothing more than a revolt by a cult, up to 250,000 Koreans would participate in the revolt, with over 30,000 Chinese and Russian subjects being sent over the border with their governmentβs implicit approval to aid in the Korean revolt, as the Russian and Chinese governments would smuggle Chinese, Russian, American, and German weapons into Korea and Manchuria.
The Japanese force in Korea numbered only 8,000 when the revolt began and was quickly overwhelmed. The thousands of well-armed Korean rebels quickly captu

Between the time when the nazis drank USSR,
and the rise of the sons of Russia, there was a state undreamed of.
And unto this, Velimir, destined to bear the nuclear crown of Hyperborea upon a troubled brow.
It is I, Dreamscripter, who alone can tell thee of his saga.
Let me tell you of the days of high insanity!
We all remember Aryan Brotherhood and Hyperborea as very memey and yet pretty empty unifiers of Russia. Something that looks sketchy and unfinished - and that is understandable, considering the whole ideas they are based on already are detached from reality. But is it possible to make Hyperborea and AB if not realistic, but plausible, while keeping the unique and highly radical style of those unifiers? I can say "yes" - and that is why I made that post.
I am aware that Aryan Brotherhood is being reworked right now - but when that rework was announced I already have almost finished that proposal. Considering all efforts that I have put into it, I decided it would be better to publish it rather then to throw it into a bin. After all, it still may provide ideas and some concepts.

Theory of Hyperborea appeared a long time ago. Basing on ancient Greek myths about some wonderous country far on the north β βbeyond the northern windβ (which is the translation of "Hyperborea" from greek) β French astronomer, mathematician and freemason Jean Sylvain Bailly turned it into idea about βancient birthplace of civilizationβ. During the 19th century several other thinkers and esoterics, including Antoine Fabre d'Olivet, Joseph Alexandre Saint-Yves, William Warren and many others β and, probably most famous of them all, esoteric Elena Blavatskaya β transformed that idea to its modern form: idea about mysterious continent on the North Pole, that was a birthplace of all white β or aryan β race, which was highly advanced and civilized. According to that theory, long ago the climate was completely different, and the region of Arctic was actually much warmer β but at so
