A list of puns related to "Wild About Safety"
I am a trained & permitted snake handler, and I use my free time to relocate wild snakes people find in their homes or businesses back to nature.
On a busy summer week (like this past one) I often get more than 15 callouts - mostly for Mole Snakes, Cape Cobras, and Boomslang.

The work I do is all about conservation, and with every callout I try to also educate the public about snakes, snakebite, and what to do if you encounter a wild snake.
Unfortunately there are a multitude of myths & misconcepts about snakes out there, so ask me anything you'd like to know about our slithery friends!
It's a hot day today so I'll likely have several callouts, but I'll respond to questions throughout the course of the day. My knowledge is focused mainly on Southern African species, but Iβll try to answer questions about exotics as well as I can.

EDIT 19:15 UTC+2: Sorry guys, Iβve just been on a couple of callouts - a Harlequin Snake and a badly injured juvenile Cape Cobra - I will continue answering questions a little later.
EDIT 21:00 UTC+2: Just got another callout, Iβll be back later to answer more questions so keep posting them!
EDIT 22:00 UTC+2: OK, Iβm back and will be answering more questions for another hour or two until I go to sleep.
EDIT 23:15 UTC+2: I see there are still almost 200 questions left for me to work through, but I need to get some sleep now. Keep posting questions and Iβll continue answering them tomorrow!
EDIT 07:00 UTC+2: OK, Iβve answered some more questions and have just under 200 left to go - Iβll get to the rest of them as soon as I can, just need to get some work done first. π
EDIT 15:20 UTC+2: Iβve answered about 200 more questions and thereβs a new 200 to go... π Keep then coming, Iβll be back again later!

We saved an african ground squirrel from abusive kids about less than a year ago, she was a little baby and have spent a good amount of time with us. She was very sweet and loved me playing with her. She never bites.
She lived in a cage but we would always let her out in the sun and she loved the sunlight.
But recently after a year passed she started becoming so aggressive and attacks and bites my family members.
My dad recommends releasing her into the wild because itβs where she belongs but Iβm scared she wonβt be able to get her food or maybe die because she was used to us feeding her.
Please tell me what you think, i need advice.
Just a thought
We're all sick of zoom classes by now for sure, but does anyone else feel like it's just not safe yet for us to go back to having classes in person? Especially with students and staff being able to file exemptions to the vaccine "requirement" for literally any reason, even if most students are vaccinated, it makes me super anxious knowing that there could totally be antivaxxers engaging in risky behaviors in my classes. Classes aren't going to be socially distanced, and one of my classes has 110 students in it, all packed in like sardines into a small lecture hall. Masks alone aren't going to stop it from being dangerous if someone shows up to class unknowingly infected, which will definitely happen at some point, students are going to party.
We have had huge numbers of new cases/deaths and a nearly full ICU for over a month now, and it's just scary imo. I love being on campus, and I would be so excited to come back to school if it felt safe. I have friends on the east coast whose schools don't allow all these vax exemptions and are reducing class sizes or doing hybrid online/in person courses, and I really wish UO would do the responsible thing and implement some of those safety measures to protect us better.
I know there are people who don't see it this way. But if you're anxious too, I just want you to know you're not alone. I hope we can all stay safe.
So I doubt Iβm the first one to bring this up. About maybe 2 years ago I thought about this a lot. Could breath of the wild 2 be the end of the timeline. My evidence was like it could like this Ganondorfs final attempt at victory. That he will be the strongest that we have ever seen him. At the time I thought it was a cool idea. You could end the curse with that game and have a said happy ending. Whole still having room for games both breath of the wild and breath of the wild 2. 2 years later my thoughts have changed I donβt think itβs a very interesting idea. I think itβs restricting having all games taking place before breath of the wild 2 and not after. Iβm just not very interested in seeing an ending of sorts to the timeline. What are your guys thoughts.
Thursday i wrote up a student for sticking a spring into a outlet. Sparks went flying and the outlet is scorched. I wrote him up (obviously), this was my 2nd write up of the semester which is pretty good imo. My VP sent a follow up message βhad a 10 minute conferenceβ with him.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
this was stupid, the kid is 15 not 5, he knew better. I wrote an email to him saying that I expect more of a punishment than this and that I expect to be backed up by admin. He said that he is βfollowing school guidelinesβ I looked at the guidelines and it states that a incident like this is 1 day of OSS minimum.
This admin does the bare minimum, does not support teachers, is over testing and canβt even do that. We had the ASVAB a few days ago and he screwed up the schedule on that. The ASVAB is given by the military. Itβs the easiest test to give. The guy is incompetent.
