Roswell/White Sands, New Mexico tips?
Hi! My partner and I are going on a trip starting in New Mexico in Feb., with our home base being Albuquerque. We have 3 days in NM then are going west to AZ. My question is, has anyone visited both Roswell and White Sands SP in one day? It seems wasteful to drive 2 hours to Roswell and back to ABQ one day then another 2 hours to White Sands the next when they are only an hour apart. Can we do both in one day to save some driving? TIA for any advice!

I did a short breakdown of the original Science report that the news has been covering about Pre-Clovis footprints in New Mexico. I work in archaeology professionally and I found the conclusions entirely reasonable.
