Hey, Reddit. When my wife was twelve, she got her golden retriever, Sam, from her parents for Christmas. Today, Sam passed away. Although Sam was 13, My wife and her parents are still heart broken over her passing. I have a photo in the comments, and all styles would be very, very appreciated.

My very first home-grown babies. Mom snuck off 2 weeks ago & I couldn’t find her anywhere. Every 2-3 days she’d show up for food then disappear again. Imagine my joy when I found her tucked up on 20 (!!!!!) eggs. When they started hatching, my heart nearly burst!! So precious!

I'm a single mom of a handsome young man & a beautiful daughter. I work as hard as I can to make sure they have what they needs & pay the bills. Me and my daughter usually share clothes, even though I'm bigger than her. My children are teens, but all they want for Christmas is to have some decent clothes like the rest of the kids at school. My son is 16 & is an honor roll student and loves you watch youtube & play games. My daughter just turned 21 and is in college but likes to dress up & loves to cook different types of foods. I always tell her that she is going be my chef. I'm not really worried about Christmas for myself, but if I had the chance to get something for Christmas I would say clothes as well. I tried to put money away for Christmas, but I had an emergency situation come up with hurricane Florence. So now I'm broke and still owe a loan. Please help my children have a brighter Christmas with a little something under our little tree.
What makes my children so amazing to me are that they go to school and make the honor roll. They always try to help others. Here is an example of their giving and kindness. We had a 7 1/2 foot Christmas tree and my sister that lives near us wanted it. They decided that they wanted to give it to a family that had small kids, so that they would have a beautiful tree to decorate and enjoy. They had several people want it, but they picked a family that had 3 young children. The mother contacted me later that evening and sent me a picture. Her oldest child was so excited that he had her put it together before she took it into their home. My children were so excited & happy cause they made someone else's day brighter.

What do you do? I want to listen to that book I read 20 years ago and just found out about on audible and oh boy so excited and fuck this narrator managed to butcher this masterpiece. The difference between 'If tomorrow comes" and "The other side of midnight" is staggering. Same author, two best sellers, one a masterpiece of acting the other a car wreck. Why aren't people demonstrating on the streets right now? huh?
One of my prized possessions/favorite thrift store finds. It was labeled as "damaged glass heart necklace - several chipped and cracked beads." When I saw it.. I knew it wasn't actually glass but fluorite and the inclusions are inherent to the stones and it wasn't damaged at all. Goodwill $15.00
Sam is a bad influence on my husband. He hasn’t smoked at all in the (almost) year of being married. I walk up to greet him at the fair only to find him taking a drag. We are going to have a heart to heart when we get home.

Just finished rebuilding my custom PC. Put too much thermal paste when connecting the cpu fan nearly giving myself a heart attack as it gooped over the edge of the processor. Spent a bunch of time cleaning it up and saw this light when booting. Hallelujah Christmas wasn't cancelled!

I broke my best friends heart when I told him I am CF
This happened a long time ago but I’ll never forget the feelings or the look on my best friends face when I told him I am childfree. My best friend is gay and I guess he had the plan that I would be his surrogate. Being the best friend you’re the best candidate for that role I suppose. Randomly one day I was explaining to him why I thought I was having difficulties finding a partner who I really was comfortable with and I told him I think it’s because I never want kids and believe it or not a lot of guys really want kids. And he froze. Just kind of blank staring at me. I finished explaining things and he just said… “well you mean any kids of your own right? You just don’t want to raise them?” And I told him about how I didn’t want to ruin my body, possibly go through complications or even death especially if it wasn’t even going to be for me, no I don’t want any children of any kind or ever be pregnant. He truly looked broken and I was so confused. He explained how he always had it in his head that I would be the surrogate of his baby and he needed to process the news. It was one of the most hard to explain feelings I had afterward and to be honest I don’t even know if he remember this conversation because it was about 11 years ago but it still kind of stings for me today.
I sort of got bingoed by my best friend and honestly it kind of broke my heart too because I had never even thought of this situation and it had clearly hurt him. I felt like I wasn’t being sensitive to a situation I didn’t even know I was involved in.
My dad knows me too well, a great early Christmas gift. He wants to use Arch when we build his PC !
