Does a GoFundMe to pay fines levied as a result of illegal actions and to help create a warchest to continue to flout laws and provincial orders fall afoul or GoFundMe's TOS?
Has anyone noticed that the roads have been particularly brutal this year? It seems to me that outside of the highway, no roads in West Kelowna are getting serviced at all.
Kelowna itself doesn't seem like it's being all too well maintained either
Edit - u/welldarnshucks is bailing me out! Thanks for the replies and suggestions from everyone.
I'm desperate. I need 1 quart to finish a job and west Kelowna is the only store in BC that has any. The great Covid paint shortage is in full swing! I'd have it shipped but it can't freeze. Will pay with cash or beer. Thanks.
I used to live by Hansen's pizza in the Lakeshore and their pizza was the shit. Albeit I've never been so damn thirsty at 3am as when I had eaten Hansen's. The owner there makes me laugh too. He's an eclectic stress case.
Now I have moved to Lakeview heights and Hansen's doesn't deliver over the bridge so I am now needing a new pizza place. Ordered from best pizza last night and it's not good. Ordered from Murray's pizza a few months back and it was not good either. Where to get delivery from on the West Side?
Alrighty, I'm looking for a decent wing night in town. I live in West K, and my favourite is Whiski Jack's (the classic location). But sometimes it's not exactly easy to get there, especially when I'm working or otherwise occupied. So with that said, let's hear it!
Any recommendations, hidden spots, wicked pricing, weird days for wing nights. I know there's some that do it on a Thursday or Tuesday, so I'm here for all the suggestions
Edit: These suggestions were great, and if I had the time I would have gone to all of them, last night we tried Mickies Pub at the Ramada. It was quite a nice environment, an older crowd, and 50 cent wings. Can't wait to try another joint next time
If you know this truck, please let me know who it is or let the police know. Thank you!
Shannon Lake area and other areas without Hydro. Does anyone have info on what happened? Thanks
Ben blames benefits for workers not wanting to work... while offering a 60 hr a week job at minimum wage π
Cries about paying a livable wage to workers (he and his family own Quails Gate)
Shit's on current govt for providing funding for those with disabilities

This place sucks as a courier. I always wait a few minutes for staff to acknowledge my existence then ask for the order number. And then they start making it. Is not the point of this platform for the food to be ready when I arrive for me to pick up and deliver? It's like I'm a customer that just ordered and am standing here waiting for my food. Not cool Popeyes, not cool.
Hiya. Me and a couple of buddies have been looking at getting into Dungeons and Dragons. None of us have any real experience with the game, other than a few years back I tried getting into DND with my spouse, but it felt like we werenβt playing properly and concluded we need to play with some experienced players to get a feel for the game.
Are there any experienced players out there that are willing to take on 3-4 noobs? Or is there, like, DND classes offered by some organization?
Thanks in advance :)
My family is relocating to West Kelowna on October 1st and I am starting to panic about childcare prospects. We have two kids (ages 1 and 3) and have had no luck in finding a centre or even a nanny to come into our home. We would take full-time or part-time, we just need some daytime coverage!
Does anyone have any tips? All the centres I've called have multi-year waitlists, which I am accustomed to coming from Toronto (I was on a waitlist there as soon as I found out I was pregnant). But people move to new cities all the time, there has to be some spots available for people who could not have possibly made it onto a waitlist years ago?
Any insights are welcome.
A heads up to anyone in the area

In light of the story, I figured Iβd share something. A really important tool to keep in your car, especially given where we live, is a window punch. I canβt stress how impossible it is to get a door open under water and after a collision with water, your automatic windows often wonβt work. I am in a GPS speed restricted vehicle and I refuse to potentially lose my job because people need to get over the bridge 5 seconds faster. I've had people honking at me and giving me the finger while I am in the far right lane because I'm "only" going 10 over the limit.
Here are some clips of the storm from Tuesday. Video one, the trampoline goes over the cliff, video two, twenty minutes later the trampoline comes up over the cliff and video 3 my brother-in-law gets taken out by the trampoline, uninjured and VERY lucky!!
So, long story short Iβve been interviewed twice by city of west Kelowna, and in case thereβs an offer, I wanted to ask fellow redditors how is life in the okanagan valley? If I were to receive an offer, Iβd be moving from Edmonton. Many thanks in advance
Yesterday I tried maryland style crab cakes and they are ridiculously good
