I'm Hugo Scheckter, former Head of Player Care at West Ham United, Player Liaison Officer at Southampton FC & Team Operations Manager at Indy Eleven in the USA. Currently Founder & Managing Director of The Player Care Group, a niche company focused on consulting, education and staff recruitment within Player Care.
So what sort of things did I oversee during my times at those clubs? A wide range - player relocations, onboarding, team scheduling, team travel, fan mail, singed items, player appearances (community, commercial, marketing etc), family support... the list goes on!
Been lucky enough to work with some fantastic people between my clubs, such as Virgil van Dijk, Ronald Koeman, Sadio Mane, Declan Rice, Mark Noble, Chicharito etc - being a part of those teams and getting to know the person behind the player has been a real honour.

Hugo was responsible for a variety of areas during his time at both clubs, including team operations, player relocations, team travel, player appearances, fan mail and autograph requests. He was even on subs board duty during Covid.
