A list of puns related to "Wednesday Addams"
I have a bone to pick with the way Wednesday is portrayed in the newer animated versions. The whole idea about the Addams is that they are a cohesive family unit and celebrate each otherβs oddities. The newest movie has them questioning whether Wednesday is biologically an Addams or not, when I canβt imagine Wednesdayβs character to ever doubt her own genetics. I definitely wouldnβt have guessed she would ever want to belong to a different family. Morticia and Gomez are kooky and spooky, but theyβre not weird helicopter parents like the movie portrays them as.
If I were to re-write the film, I would make all the Addamses be on the same side against a common enemy. There would be far more family loyalty and support. Wednesday would think everyone in her family is βbelow herβ but she would view regular humanity much less favorably.
The character was likely written for a female tween audience, and how βquirkyβ they feel, but the beauty of the Addams family is that theyβre not normal. I loved having an unconventional female character like Wednesday to model that.
I was watching the Addams family and it was the one where the parents have a baby and Wednesday goes to this camp . There's a moment towards the end of that movie when Wednesday is talking to this boy and he asks her "will you ever get married? Have kids?" and Wednesday just says " never" the boy then goes "but what if you meet the right guy and he decides to be your own personal slave and he does everything for you" and then she says "I'd pity him"
Has anyone seen this scene themselves π
Addams Family Values is one of those films I never stop laughing at. The Camp Chippewa scenes, Debbie trying to kill Uncle Fester and failing, Wednesday smiling for the first time.
Or the Malibu Barbie monologue and what about Morticia doing a speech about how awful and disgusting Debbie is (and respecting her for it) yet....PASTEL. What a amusing film to watch.
Has anyone shared it yet
