A list of puns related to "Warframe Mod"
I'm sure I'm not the only one who has used a burst weapon and wished I could just hold down the trigger. It brought me to wishing there was mods that could alter weapon firemodes. Here's a few ideas:
Note these are conceptual, without stats(if they would have any), wihtout names, and just to bring discussion and ideas. I'd imagine they would be gold weapon exilus mods:
Burst Firing Mode Conversion: Changes BURST to AUTO BURST. This one is the obvious one, really no harm in allowing a weapon to be held.
Auto Firing Mode Conversion: Changes AUTO to AUTO BURST. After the other ideas, why not change auto weapons into auto burst? I'd imagine it would come with a small buff like damage and ammo compacity.
Auto Firing Mode Conversion: Changes AUTO to SEMI. Would have a damage buff, obviously. Maybe a mag size debuff?
Semi Firing Mode Conversion: Changes SEMI to BURST. I'd assume some weapons this would make some high recoil, but that might actually be a good thing considering the changes.
Semi Firing Mode Conversion: Changes SEMI to AUTO. This wouldn't alter fire-rate, but would allow it to be held.
Semi Firing Weapon Conversion: Changes SEMI to AUTO. Like the last one, but with higher fire rate and lower recoil, but a damage nerf for obvious reasons.
Burst Firing Weapon Conversion: Burst shot delay time -100%. This allows Burst weapons to be pseudo-shotguns or single shot rifles as their entire volley is fired at the same time. Another idea is the mod would add 2 or so shots from the magazine into the burst but I have not considered the balance of that. Again, ideas.
What are your thoughts on these? I view these as a way to make certain weapons feel better and to improve quality of life for some weapons, or maybe make something unique in the process. (..Or maybe make something that's a little too unique nicer to use..)
I use Speed Holster and Primed Sure Footed on most if not all my frames. They're not optimal, sure, but they make the game feel way better to me.
You guys have anything you can't play without?
What I want:
Weird effects like buffs after reloading, bullets that explode in 3 directions, and set effects.
Effects that affect the world, instead of just numbers. Guild Wars had some crazy build potential, but I felt like a spreadsheet monkey.
Multiple systems that all interact. Warframe has classes with abilities, mods, team-wide auras, and the ability to swap abilities between classes for example.
What I don't want:
Roguelike elements. Setting up the perfect build only for it to evaporate on death kills the game for me. Rebuilding isn't fun.
Extremely long time gates that prevent me from trying out builds frequently. I'm willing to grind, but don't make me put a thousand hours into it.
Games I've enjoyed:
Warframe: The perfect sandbox of build diversity.
Mothergunship: Duct tape dozens of guns to each arm. Fun, but there isn't a whole lot of game here.
Borderlands: Probably the most diverse weapon selection in gaming history.
All because the Xoris gave warframe abilities 'Overwhelming Power' according to DE's stated logic.https://forums.warframe.com/topic/1204417-xoris-interactions-with-warframe-abilities-exalted-weapons/
Warframe Abilities / Exalted Warframe weapons affected by this are:
If for some reason you like the Xoris and want to use it and those warframes with the above listed abilities you have to make a choice. Use the Xoris and not get to use your abilities. or use your abilities and lose your combo. Meanwhile pick a Riven. Any riven for any other melee weapon. That is allowed, good, and seen as the right way to play the game.
To be charitable DE has a whole lot on their plate between Tennocon, the pandemic, and whatnot. However given they have said nothing on the matter beyond affirming that these changes are going in place shortly before implementation? And the fact it has been demonstrated that their stated reasoning is false.
While rivens continue to be a frequently pointed to path to power that exceeded the convenience the xoris gave?
I do not care how upvoted this post is, or how much I am whined at. I will not let DE forget this one. Not while a weapon's neat convenience gimmick gets nerfed, rivens get untouched, and DE calls the nerf 'preserving choice in the face of overwhelming power.'
I am also under no delusion that DE particularly cares or will listen. Not when the xoris thread has hit fifty some odd pages, people have brought it up on twitter and stream, and there has been zero indication of anything on thier part resembling 'care' or 'listening.'
Its a great risk fully modding something then it turning out to be bad or you just dont like it. In simulacrum there should be a mod workbench which has all mods and infinite forma, catalysts and reactors to test weapons and frames before committing to upgrading them

Wacky. So I don't know, more random oriental words? Swedish? Latin? Tibetan? Brazilian? Owing to their Egyptian-theme, Egyptian? Persian?
Do they mean anything?
Some quick googling of the names linked me to.....................................a bunch of Warframe websites rather than actually telling me what they mean. So no help there.
Context is, I was leveling the Veldt with some crit mods and enjoying what seemed to be the first decent single fire weapon I had tried so far (fast base reload speed, large magazine, good fire rate), when my friend commented that the weapon was "MR fodder" and not good for a horde shooter.
I had gotten a Corrinth prime stock recently (the rare part), but because it's a MR14 weapon and a shotgun (not an interesting weapon type for me) I offered to trade it to him for warframe parts that I could actually use. It was one of the few weapons he hadn't built yet and wanted me to keep it for myself because "shotguns are meta"
While I'm open to trying new playstyles, I've always been a fan of single fire/burst weapons with good crit multipliers, as well as taking fashion into account before stats. So while I understand that weapons with large damage spreads are better to kill groups of enemies, I mainly use melee for that already
And overall I prefer playing a support role over dps any day, which my friend is very happy that I've gravitated towards warframes such as Wisp, Trinity, and Gara. So idk even if I'm doing 1% damage in a SS ground run, I feel like as long as my weapons can still kill things and I'm keeping the team alive I should be able to use what I want
So you're not restricting players with what builds they can create, and you make the choices that much more meaningful. Of course the costs for each of the modifications would have to be redone, but I think this is one of the best options for this kind of system.
Edit.1: And as a side note to all this discussion, I'm well aware that this will most likely not happen on Shadowkeep. We also have many more unknowns, for example, there is the new mods on the Artifact as well, so maybe there can be a solution to our problems there. To some other people, when you think about armor energy, it restricts what guns you can spec into, and that's the real problem here. From what I've seen, each energy also has it's own "grenade, melee and ability" specialization, so if you want to mix and match those, you are not allowed to. Obviously there is no reason to rage or despair just yet, we haven't gotten the game on our hands, but I think raising discussion ahead of time is important.
ps. thank you for the people that gave me Silver, Gold and Platinum.
Edit.2: So, Luke Smith just posted a tweet kinda talking about this: https://twitter.com/thislukesmith/status/1162132926512844800
> This thread is about reloader mods (and also mods more generally in Armor this Fall):
>
> In Part II, I talked about Hand Cannon mods which can be socketed into Void Armor for 3 Energy.

> I should've also discussed that there are general mods like Small Arms Loader
>
> These general mods--which provide the exact same effect as Hand Cannon reloader (but also affects other small arms weapons)--cost 4-5 energy (depending on the mod) and do not have an elemental affinity associated with them.
>
> These general mods -- of which there are 11 -- are unlocked for everyone automatically, so you can start to tinker right away.
>
> Basically, when when you want to specialize your weapon, it requires matching your armor's energy type.

> And then you get an energy discount on socketing the mod.
Yes, they have more knowledge about what mods are, and what mods are not in the next build of the game. However, him talking specifically about Loaders somewhat concerns me. When I originally thought about, when I made the thread, I never considered that I should have the option of slotting in a Enhanced Sniper Loader AND an Enhanced HC Loader (or just a HC Loader) either. No, my concerns comes from Scavengers, Finders and Reserves. Mo
... keep reading on reddit β‘I mean, she now only goes into a short burst of anger instead of being able to be indefinitely angry. I understand it's not actually that, but I just like to think of it now and again. The cool down also reminds me of how Baruuk has to work to get his meter up after using all of his fourth ability.
First of what the actual fuck just happened and secondly to Lotus and I'm not a fan on Excalibur umbra with the whole I have 2 swords thing. so any warframe/ weapon recommendations?
