On 1 March, PUBLISH, Inc., the company behind an innovative blockchain media protocol and content management system for newspapers, has announced that it has joined WAN-IFRA (The World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers)
WAN-IFRA is the largest newspaper association in the world, with journalists and editors from around the world participating, including Bloomberg L.P., Guardian News & Media, The Financial Times Ltd, and The New York Times Company.
WAN-IFRA represents a network of 18,000 publications, 15,000 online sites, 300 technology suppliers, and over 3,000 companies in more than 120 countries, and over 80 national associations and affiliates.
The association is committed to protecting the rights of journalists and publishers around the world and is committed to supporting businesses for press freedom and journalism, media innovation, and media sustainability.
‘Publish Asia 2019,’ an annual three-day conference organized by the association, will be held in Singapore from May 7 to 9. Sonny Kwon, CEO of PUBLISH, Inc., is expected to speak about the company’s various initiatives at the event.
In the same month, we joined WAN-IFRA, a global association of newspaper publishers with a network of over 3,000 news publishing companies, media technology entrepreneurs, and 80 publisher associations representing 18,000 publications in 120 countries. We were invited to its annual summit Publish Asia 2019 to share how blockchain technology might be used to solve the complex problems that the newspaper industry faces in securing financial sustainability without sacrificing editorial independence.
