Question and Discussion: Is Walt Disney Home Entertainment on its twilight days?
I'm not sure if this is the most apropriate place to talk about this, but given how Disney+ has become very quickly the output station for most content from Disney, both from their Television and Theatrical Divisions, I feel this was apropriate to put this here.
I've noticed that after the Live-Action remake for Mulan, and aside from some release 20th CS and some re-releases from previous movies, most listed movies from Disney that were intended to get physical Blu-Ray releases such as Artemis Fowl, have not received any updates what so ever, despite the movie being already 6 months old. In adition to this, some animated movies that had listings marked for sevral months, in terms of getting 4K releases, such as Hercules and Chicken Little, have not been updated for several months. And more recent movies, such as Soul, lack listings for Blu-Ray versions entierly.
With this in mind I wanted to ask: Is it possible that Walt Disney Home Entertainment could be possibly be on it's way to become defunct, similar to Disney XD and Radio Disney are currently?
I guess physical media is truly on its way out...
