The "ex-dividend" date is the date you are no longer entitled to the dividend or distribution. You need to have made your purchase by the preceding business day. For example, if the date is a Tuesday, you need to have purchased (or already owned) shares by the market close on Monday. Be aware that for any stock going ex-dividend on a Monday (or Tuesday, if Monday is a holiday), you must own it by the prior Friday.
Here are the definitions of the streak categories, as I'll be using them throughout the piece.

[NVDA] Pelosi is way in the money on her last big options play. on r/WallStreetBets
This woman is the original degenerate gambler.. probably a mod here. She is one of the few congresspeople that frequently trades options from what I can see.
She bought 1-5M 400 leaps before the split so these would be ~115 strike price now. Stock is up around 15% since then so with that 2x leverage she is sitting pretty at +300k already if only a million was spent.

I've been composing an index of stocks bought recently by the top performers in congress to see how much alpha really is in these politicians hands. I calculated the return of the stocks bought by these top performers in the last month and took the one's with the most return / momentum so far (+ NVDA and AAPL because of these trades by pelosi). The current list is as follows.
NOK
GOOG
LMRK
MSFT
LRCX
ALIZY
VSH
APPL
NVDA
---
This is an interesting portfolio here. We have semiconductors with VSH, NVDA, LRCX, some energy/telecommunication infrastructure with LMRK/NOK (5G play too), the oldest insurance company in europe I believe with ALIZY, and then the standard big tech.

... keep reading on reddit β‘Does anyone here have thoughts on product capabilities / quality / cost comparisons between Vishay Intertechnology and competitors like ON Semiconductor or Yageo?
It seems like these companies have a lot of product overlap but its not clear to me why a buyer would select a MOSFET or capacitor from Vishay versus ON or Yageo (or from other key competitors).
I am trying to understand if most of the products that overlap would be viewed as substitutable commodities where the buyer cares more about price and availability or if there is more differentiation that drives the buyer's selection.
I would really appreciate any help here.

It been a while since I posted anything after getting burned out and overworked. However I'm back with 4 solid picks. All of these stocks are trading at a value price in my opinion, have solid institutional investment/interest, and the economic conditions are congruent with solid future growth. All of them have earnings coming up within a month (give or take a few days). Please note that I own positions in all of these companies and you should always do your own due diligence.

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. ($VSH) $22.15
Analysis: $VSH is an oversold and hidden semiconductor play unknown to most retail traders. It is, however, not unknown to institutions with 95% rate of institutional investment. Analysts are expecting earnings of $2.17 per share and revenue of $3.2 billion. These totals would mark changes of +135.87% and +27.83%, respectively, from last year. $VSH should benefit from the semiconductor shortage, increased vehicle reliance on semiconductors, sensors, and electronics, and even the national heatwave as folks replace their old cooling HVAC units with new ones. If a reliable piece of technology requires electronic sensors, capacitors, inductors, resistors, transistors, Diods, rectifiers, power modules, emitters, detectors, data transceivers, etc, chances are it has something from Vishay as an essential component. This includes the Mars Rover. Vishay operates on the more high end side of the market where equipment must work as expected.
We are fortunate that Vishay is currently trading on a pullback of no negative circumstance with earnings expected on 03AUG2021. With semiconductors getting more and more complex (Moore's Law suggests the complexity of microchips doubles every two years) they require more and more transistors, and $VSH makes transistors. As semiconductors and electronics become more in demand, and we have a shortage so everyone is at max capacity already, the more manufacturers will demand $VSH products. Therefore

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Do your worst!
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
