A list of puns related to "Viserys Targaryen"
According to Westerosi tradition:
I made interesting ones bold. Interestingly, Aegon III was the rightful heir since Jaehaera was "simple" and all the others were dead.
It's been fun playing the Brunes and interacting with all of the crownfolks and the people around KL, but I thought it was time to try my hand on a more relevant claim.
I hope I live up to expectations.
Congratulations to the new player of Prince Viserys Targaryen, /u/AmazonMat!
Please make a claim post when you're next able, and we ask that interested players keep an eye out for future applications for royal claims in the future!
With the negotiations for the return of Prince Viserys underway, the mod team has decided to begin accepting applications to play Viserys Targaryen.
Applications will remain open for at least the next 48 hours. Placeholders and joke comments will be removed.
Here are the application questions:
What interests you about this claim? What plans do you have for it?
What prior roleplay experience do you have that makes you believe you would be a good fit for this role?
How active do you think you will be as this claim? How much time can you dedicate to it?
How would you work with other users closely tied with your claim, especially Rogare and the Targaryens?
As always, sample lore is appreciated but entirely optional.
To be honest, it seems like a stupid question considering Dany is resistant to fire/ heat and can ride dragons, but how did the court and Aegon III truly know that the Viserys that returned from Lys was truly his brother and the other prince? We know he was left behind and captured in Lys en route to Pentos during the Dance of the Dragons, and that Aegon III escaped because he had his dragon. Obviously they didnβt have DNA testing back then, but werenβt there any suspicions that this was a calculated power grab by him and house Rogare? Iβm not sure if this has been answered before, but would really appreciate some insight and thoughts. Thank you to all who reply in advance! :)
Edit: I understand Dany wasnβt fire resistant. I guess I got confused with the books and the tv show lmao.

Just wanted to share in case people here missed it!
What do you folks think of the casting? He's a really talented actor so I'm pretty excited :)
Good Morrow Sers!
Currently reading through Fire and Blood and having a great time doing it. Iβm at the part that documents King Viserys I and the seeds that were being planted that would eventually grow to become the Dance of the Dragons. And I must say...
Viserys is one of the primary reasons this civil war happens. While constant enmity and animosity is floating around him to the point where it becomes lethal, all he does is have the two factions say βIβm sorryβ and then move on.
The first incident that comes to mind is his son Aemond going to ride Vhagar since he wasnβt yet a dragon rider. Heβs part of the greens faction. Three of Princess Rhaenyraβs children (which are heavily implied to be Strongs and not Valeryons) wait for him to land and then beat this shit out of him. Granted, Aemond is older and gives them an ass whipping that is a nice way to prove Newtonβs Third Law. Yet still one of his eyes is completely removed from his head because of this fight between children.
Viserys, and I quote, βtried to make a peace, requiring each of the boys to tender an apology to his rivals on the other side...β Their mothers are understandably pissed and Viserys response gives me the impression of βI donβt care enough to actually fix this.β
Next, I want to talk about his daughter Rhaenyra. She was coddled by him and his first wife from a very young age. Archmaester Gyldayn (GRRM) puts a lot of emphasis on this, which to me shouts βthis child is spoiled and entitled!β This entitlement is further grown when she is proclaimed heir to the throne even though like five minutes before, Jaehaerys I put together the Council of 101 AC to declare that only the male line could inherit. The ruling that put Viserys on the throne, he ignores. His second wife gives him male heirs, and it isnβt explicitly said, but I think itβs implied that he simply doesnβt like them as much as he does Rhaenyra. But even an idiot could see that LEGALLY, this would be the argument put forth should a successional issue arise.
Next Rhaenyraβs children. Them kids ainβt legit. Their βfatherβ is Valeryon which is about as Valyrian as you can get without being a Targeryan. So that means Blonde-Gold hair, Light colored eyes, and a general fairness about them. Rhaenyra looks that way as well. Now I know there are Targaryens that donβt look like this (off the top of my head Baelor Breakspear) but at this point in time in history nearly all of them look this way. Now Gyldayn doesnβt do a lot to
... keep reading on reddit β‘It goes as well as you would expect for him.
How do you think the show will handle prince Viserys (later king Viserys II)? Do you think they will maintain the whole capture storyline, and make him return in the final season, or abandon that and do something else with the character?
Iβve been reading many rhaegar wins au fics and nearly 99.9% have a crazy Viserys plotting against his family. I mean-why? Heβs a prince, raised with honor and dignity and blah blah blah. I just got tired reading the same thing over and over. Sooo.....anyone have a sane Viserys fic out there? Doesnβt have to be focused on him...but should be sane. Kinda like dynasty. He was horrible towards Dany what with all the threatening and stuff but watching the show I just can't help feeling a little sorry for him. I mean, if you think from his perspective all he wanted was what he was promised. Instead he got killed. Quite painfully I might add. Am I missing something here? What are your thoughts on this?

"Paddy Considine will play King Viserys Targaryen. There's also a new character description for the role that gives the first intriguing hints of the show's story line: "King Viserys Targaryen is chosen by the lords of Westeros to succeed the Old King, Jaehaerys Targaryen, at the Great Council at Harrenhal. A warm, kind, and decent man, Viserys only wishes to carry forward his grandfather's legacy. But good men do not necessarily make for great kings."
I thought he was good in HBO's "The Outsider" and currently on "The Third Day" on HBO as well. Excited about this!
In this scenario, Viserys is not mad or cruel and this is before he has encountered the Dothraki. He swears fealty to Robert Baratheon, and claims the actions of his father and his brother happened when he was merely a child. How would Robert react? Would he execute him? Imprison him?
In an AU where the rebellion never happened and Viserys was never sent into exile, what kind of person do you think he would be?
While reading AGOT I found out that Viserys didn't even have a sword of his own.
When Dany and Viserys went to meet Drogo, Dany noticed that "her brother's hand was clenched tighly arround the hilt of his BORROWED SWORD".
Ser Willem Darry was Rhaegar's master-at-arms. Viserys was 8 years old when Ser Willem took him and Dany to Bravos. All highborn boys have masters-at-arms. Was the Targaryen heir to IT an exception? Even if Ser Willem wouldn't have supported Viserys's claim to IT, he still should have prepared Viserys for life in general. Viserys should have been taught that is good to be able to defend yourself, no matter if you are a king or not.
Viserys was so pathetic! "I shall kill the Usurper myself, he promised, who had never killed anyone."
Dany also noticed that Viserys never used a sword in earnest.
Illyrio never supported Viserys. He only made him believe this. By contrast, Young Griff received a good education.
In conclusion, is not hard to understand why Viserys became cruel and coward. He had no mentors, no real friends. Viserys's downfall Is not entirely his fault.
