A list of puns related to "Vincent Kartheiser"
I'm rewatching MM as you do and I have noticed the subtle classicism of Vincent Kartheiser's (Pete Campbell) acting.
More than anyone else in the cast, it strongly reminds me of classic Hollywood actors, namely of John Dall's performance as Brandon in Alfred Hitchcock's The Rope. It's very subtle - tilting his head, raising his brows, the slightly stiff body movements... Mark Moses as Duck Philips does something similar (and he even has the classical Hollywood looks).
I mean, they're all great, Hamm is obviously superb and Slattery plays Slattery in all his roles π, but Kartheiser's acting stands out to me.
Have you guys noticed that?
Connor gets his share of hate and while you are allowed to hate him because of his actions, sometimes I think people forget that he is supposed to be a teenager. Heck the only reason I didnβt hated him is because when I watched Angel back in the 2000βs I was around the age of the Connor character, so I felt a lot like him. Rewatching today peace out was a powerful experience hearing talking to a comatose Cordy and hearing how he felt specially the βnot me β part gave me chills. The delivery by Vincent is amazing and he is a great actor. Tomorrow Iβll watch Home and I know Iβll cry again like a baby. What do you guys think?
Title says it all. Vincent Kartheiser (Pete) seems to be really going through something or is really tripping hard on something as this main cast wrap interview session goes on. Staring at his feet, picking at his nails and skin, seeming generally upset or unenthused and depressed, even looking to have fallen asleep a few times. Anyone else seen/noticed this? My gf and I just noticed and found it utterly bizarre and sadly funny!
I'm on my third rewatch (bingeing before Netflix removes the series) and Pete's character is so well portrayed by Vincent. I just watched the scenes following Pete hearing about his father dying in the plane crash of S2E2, and it broke my heart. The portrayal of Pete's initial shock and confusion while he tells Don is amazing, I would encourage you to go back and watch it!
Reminded me of something Matthew Weiner said along the lines of "We wrote characters that acted like people, not that acted like people on television."
