I guess this is just a theory, but I couldn't help but notice this...

First off, I saw this post here on Oct. 20 by u/TheAlexer, talking about how BNT's Twitter account had followed Ostereo, some British company in the music industry. As you can see from the post by u/mawnck, they had unfollowed after a couple of hours.

On Oct. 28, Ostreo announced their new signing - Bulgarian singer Victoria Georgieva.

On Oct. 30, BNT announced their return to the contest, the next day they announced in this post that they will present their artist on Nov. 25. They also write "During the event BNT will also present the production company behind the 2020 Bulgarian entry and the partnering music production company from the UK.". Sidenote: from what I can gather, this Ostereo company doesn't call themselves a record label, but at the same time, BNT's press release does not call the company that they are partnering with a record label either.

Now, I can see on Victoria's instagram page that she recently followed the BNT Eurovision Instagram account, Ostereo, as well as someone who ESCXtra called in an article "BNT's Project Co-ordinator" - Deyan Yordanov. He also recently followed her back. I know on Instagram that the app does not show the recent follows/followers of people at the top of the list, but on the web version, it does - so we can be sure that this is a recent thing. Here's some screenshots, just incase.

Here's another side note: I did some digging, and it seems she's also been working with Borislav Milanov, the guy behind "Symphonix" and a lot of recent Eurovision entries (Malta, Azerbaijan this year, Austria last year, Bulgaria since 2016... you get the picture). She is tagged in this post, from a songwriting camp organised by Symphonix this summer, and here she is in a picture with Kristian Kostov (Bulgaria 2017) and Milanov. Hi, guys, sorry for the delay.

When I began writing this I was freshly unemployed, so it was a breath of fresh air for me in a sea of sending CVs to be ignored. Now I'm not-so-freshly unemployed and while I'm still sending CVs and getting ignored, I'm getting busy with a lot of stuff so I have less time for this (and I may have even missed some drama).

Sorry about that.

Anyway, in my last post I showed you the aftermath from the national selections in February, but back then only half of the countries or so had selected their songs, there is still a lot more to cover so here's the second half of the story.

Here goes the usual glossary for people who are not up to speed on what Eurovision is:

• Eurovision: The Gay Olympics An international music contest in which most countries in Europe and some not in Europe take part.
• EBU: European Broadcasting Union, an international body made by many national broadcasters that organizes Eurovision and sets its rules.
• Juries: Panels of alleged music experts who vote, both in Eurovision and in national finals.
• Televote: Vote by the public, usually done by phone/SMS and in some cases by internet, both in Eurovision and in national finals.
• National final: A televised show in which a national broadcaster selects their representative, usually with vote by the public.
• Internal selection: When a national broadcaster doesn't hold a national final, an instead appoints an artist to represent them.

As with the previous post, first we will list the countries with no drama, then the countries with low drama, and then the main course.

For a short introduction, thanks to the pandemic 2020 was the first edition ever of Eurovision to be cancelled, and for 2021 there's still a contingency plan in case the contest can't be done live. All artists will record a backup performance that will be used if the artist can't go or if travel restrictions must be imposed for another COVID wave. There will be at most a limited audience in the arena, maybe none, and most other events will be restricted or directly not held.

Also, since last year all artist had their Eurovision journey cut halfways, this year a lot of countries decided to repeat their artists. This had two consequences: First, knowing you're safe and already chosen means you don't need to plan on how to win a national final or impress a selection jury, so so

As the Eurovision week is rushing, I couldn't wait too long, so that's why the voting for the Grand Final is starting today. I hope we wil be able to pass the 100-voters mark, as we just missed the mark by 3 voters.

I basically made up a running order based on what we have and randomizing halves for the rest of the countries. The last three spots are basically and purely for chaos
