Velux 5 might not be as extreme as Volvo Ocean Race or the Vendee Globe, but it's still one of the classics. One of it's patrons is Robin Knox Johnston, the first to sail around the world singlehanded nonstop. Hes has been going strong ever since and at 67 he competed in the Velux 5 himself. New for this time, and Robins brainchild, is th ECO 60 class, intended to make it easier and cheaper to compete with older boats and far smaller support crews. Though "affordable" might not be the best word to describe it still...

Interesting to see that the Imocas are proving to be a fair bit faster in light conditions to the Volvo 65's. Wonder what will happen when conditions get heavier.

The Nox arenβt wise just complacent! Remember the Tollan? All it takes is one psycho screaming murder and the Nox go tut-tutting about primitives. I really do respect the Goaβuld even though they are so weak they need a host to survive because at least they will give us the time of day!
Running the Ocean City, MD Sprint this Saturday (10/5/19).
Its only 3 miles but I just realized it will be running on the sand, city, and possibly water.
Anybody have beach race experience? Wondering what shoes you wore and how it went. Thanks!
I've used my inov8s on many races, turned out great. This may be different.
