A list of puns related to "Vaughn Taylor"
Happened around 1 pm that I saw them.
I really enjoyed the first season so I'm eagerly awaiting season two and the new story.
Life changing win. First in nine years. Playing on past champions status and shipping the win is huge. I've always admired his game. Very straight, excellent putter. From Ryder cup member to almost zero status on the PGA. Well done!
Seems like there's a new offseason stash post every day. Thought I'd centralize it here.
Names listed in previous threads are below. I included % rostered in 1QB PPR leagues per Sleeper (as of 12/27/21) as well as any good comments that give more depth to a player. Finally, I am working through adding 1QB/.5PPR KTC values to each player (last updated 12/28/21). For reference, I have also included the values of draft picks/

In coaching, nothing lasts forever.
In college basketball, North Carolina coach Roy Williams handed the team over to his disciple Hubert Davis after nearly two decades with the Tar Heels. Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski has run his program since 1980, but will finally pass the baton to his apprentice Jon Scheyer next season.
Meanwhile, there's still no succession plan in place in San Antonio, where Gregg Popovich continues to hang on to his power like Logan Roy. He's certainly earned that right to decide when to leave. He's coached the team since 1996, and rattled off 22 straight playoff appearances along the way. He's arguably the best coach of all time.
That said, the end must come sooner or later. (In theory.) After he breaks the record for most wins, there's not much left to prove and there's not much to hang onto. The Spurs are a decent team, but they're a young team. This will likely be the third season year that they'll miss the playoffs, and a title seems a long way away. Popovich will turn 73 years old later this month, so he may not have the patience for a continued rebuild. He's already handed over the reins of Team USA to Steve Kerr, and a plan for his Spurs heir may be next.
It remains to be seen whether that choice is going to come from Popovich or his longtime GM R.C. Buford -- or whether both will ride off into the sunset together. But either way, that next pick is going to be fascinating. And unclear. Possible successors have come and gone, and the answer remains murkier than ever.
In this post, we'll review some potential candidates, including one that may be the most controversial of all.
######runaway princes and princesses
Over the last decade, the idea of Gregg Popovich's heir apparent has been floated numerous times -- but nothing's stuck yet.
At one point, it seemed like that man may have been Italian Ettore Messina. A legendary coach in Europe, Messina worked as an assistant for the Spurs from 2014-19. Messina could have made more money elsewhere, but many presumed he was being groomed to take over the NBA team. That didn't happen. Eventually, Messina left the team to pursue other opportunities. At the moment, he coaches Olimpia Milano and hasn't shown many signs of wanting to return to the States.
Another logical pick would have been Ime Udoka, a former Spurs player turned Spurs assistant (from 2012-19). Udoka c

Going to try and quickly evaluate these to the best of my ability. Let me know whatcha think.
Shallow:
Baker - D+ : Hes been playing hurt, but his play has been awful all season.
Brandin cooks - A- : Wr18 on the year, solid
Michael Thomas - C- : canβt really come to a true conclusion but his value is definitely lower than it was before the season.
Golladay - F : expectations were low but Jesus
Deeper pt1
Will fuller - D+ : Miami came in with a plan for him, he played well in his 1 game. Still has the same issues heβs always had.
James Connor - A+ : RB7!
Hollywood brown - A : proven to be actually good at football.
Jarvis Landry - C+ : Ok but hurt a lot
Lil bit deeper:
Devin singletary - B+ : not great by any means but a higher end rb3 on the year for a guy you couldnβt get a 3rd for.
Agholor - D- : missed the mark on this one
Kenyan drake - D+ : had a solid stretch before the raiders imploded
Russell gage - C+ : horrible start but heβs been fantastic down the stretch
Nyheim Hines C- : started ok but the colts found a winning formula in JT getting 95% of snaps
Tyrod Taylor - C- : gave you a few good games
Jimmy g - B+ : qb16 on the year, held off lance
Iβm almost there:
Oj howard - D- : usage all year has been disappointing
Van Jefferson - A- : deep dive gem
Trubisky - C : value unchanged
Josh Reynolds - D+ : idk
Blake jarwin - F- : missed the mark here by a lot
Ty Johnson - D : couple good games but yuck
Everett - B+ : solid season for a guy with minimal expectations. Been great with russ
Lat Murray - D- : hasnβt been the worst but definitely not good
James white - C+ : injury stinks but looked great with Mac
So fckn deep:
Cj uzomah - B+ : TE16 and 2 week winners
Keyshawn Vaughn - B : No expectations this year, thereβs something there still
Lazard - C- : few good weeks, no improvement though
Jack Doyle - D+ : bad
James Washington - D- : even more disappointing than anticipated
Tyler Johnson - D : has not stepped up
Hey yall I can't decide who to start and really have no business being in the final. Should I start Jonathan Taylor or Ke'Shawn Vaughn? I also have a really tough call at QB, should I start Josh Allen or Drew Lock? /s These questions are all I have seen for the last few weeks and it is absurd. Good luck yall it sure looks like many of you need it.
Do you all have a favorite running back you're stashing for the future? I'm riding the Tony Jones train until he's a proven bust, but it's looking rough with Jameis.
Who else do you all have?
I will add more to the list just tell me the names.
This is the best lineup using players rostered in 5% of leagues or less according to Yahoo. I will do it with 0.5ppr scoring rules.
POS | PLAYER - TEAM | ROSTERED% | SCORE |
---|---|---|---|
QB | Tim Boyle - DET | 0% | 18.88 |
RB | Le'Veon Bell - TB | 4% | 7 |
RB | Ke'Shawn Vaughn - TB | 4% | 5.5 |
WR | Kristian Wilkerson - NE | 0% | 18.2 |
WR | Cyril Grayson - TB | 0% | 17.1 |
TE | Anthony Firkser - TEN | 5% | 9.9 |
FLEX | Antoine Wesley - WR - ARI | 0% | 17 |
D/ST | Atlanta Falcons | 5% | 8 |
K | Brett Maher - NO | 1% | 14 |
This team is available in between 82.34% and 95% of leagues and would've scored 115.58 points. The best unrostered team turned in the worst performance of the year on championship week. I hope none of you can relate to that. If you do, my condolences.
It is fitting on the lowest score of the year that Tim Boyle is at the helm. The film guru has been lackluster but the Sun God drug Boyle along to a top 12 finish.
Itβs been awhile since weβve had teammates at the RB position and it is sadder still that they combined for a measly 12.5 points. Leveon Bell and KeβShawn Vaughn both outscored Ronald Jones, who is awaiting MRI results. Vaughn was also hurt and Bell may be the last RB standing for Tampaβs final game
Kristian Wilkerson played in two games this year, playing only 6% and 5% of snaps in those and recording 0 targets. Of course he played 82% of snaps, and got 8 targets for a line of 4-42-2. The Patriots dunked on the Jags all day, producing 3 relevant WRs and 2 RBs, as well as Mac Jones being QB7 on the week.
Similarly, Cyril Grayson has played in only three games prior to this week. The difference being that he has actually produced in most games he has played. With Antonio Brown leaving the team mid game, this may be a glimpse into the future of the Bucs receiving group, at least until Evans is fully healed up.
Before the year started I was beating the drum for Anthony Firkser. That take proved incorrect but this is the second time he made the team.
Another wide receiver Iβve not heard of earned the flex spot, Antoine Wesley scored twice for the Cardinals on 57% of snaps. 5 targets is not too shabby and he may earn playing time as the Cards try to replace the injured Hopkins. Wesley scored 3 TDs in the last two weeks and could be a redzone threat going forward, at least as long as James Conner is out of the lineup, as he was the preferred goal line option prior to his injury.
The Falcons scored 8 points against the vaunted Buffalo Bills offense

So, as it's time for the offseason, it's also time for crazy offseason posts that have way too much effort put into them. Just before the World Series ended, /u/skraxx and I decided to put together an offseason game where every team was run by a different person. The results? Hoo boy, they were crazy. So let's go over some highlights. If you don't want to read specific highlights, you can check out final rosters here.
The Chaos:
Here's a list of every high profile trade that was made during this offseason. Let's break it down, shall we?
Giants receive: Eric Hosmer, Pierce Johnson, Justin Lange, Jackson Merrill
Padres receive: Zack Littell, Steven Duggar
This was the very first trade made in the league, and it did not disappoint. A salary dump of Eric Hosmer in which Pierce Johnson, Justin Lange, and Jackson Merrill went over to San Francisco. Pretty crazy way to start the sim.
Yankees receive: German Marquez, Antonio Santos
Rockies receive: Chad Green, Estevan Florial, Clarke Schmidt
Still pretty reasonable thus far, with the Yankees trading a decent haul for German Marquez. Trades like this made me think that the sim would be relatively calm, but hoo boy will we get to that.
Giants receive: Johan Camargo, Huascar Ynoa, Braden Shewmake, Yoansy Moreno
Braves receive: Mike Yastrzemski, Thairo Estrada
Giants trade Yaz and Estrada for a Starting Pitcher, a decent middle infield prospect, a bench bat, and a young prospect. Might be too little for Yaz, but I'm a believer in Ynoa and Shewmake.
Blue Jays receive: Ketel Marte
Diamondbacks: Nate Pearson, Orelvis Martinez, Bowden Francis
Blue Jays make a big splash by acquiring Ketel Marte. This is a pretty good haul, but a good move by Toronto nonetheless to bolster their lineup even more.
Yankees receive: Alex Dickerson, John Brebbia
Giants receive: Aaron Hicks, Zack Britton, Ken Waldichuk, Elijah Dunham
To give some context to this, Skraxx and I agreed to put a hard limit on the payroll for each team, and thus the Yankees desperately needed to shed payroll. As such, they trade Hicks and Britton in a salary dump, giving up Waldichuk and Dunham in the process.
Rays receive: Josh Hader, 1.5M
Brewers receive: Xavier Edward, Josh Flemming, Neraldo Catalina, Alejandro Pie
Brewers decided it was time to trade Jo

I recently got into Fantasy football and easy to say I'm pretty hooked. Anyway, I wanted to do an analysis on how players tend to evolve by position group as their careers progress, in order to see if I can get a slight edge when drafting Rookies, sophomores, or 3rd-year players next season. Any and all feedback is appreciated, as Iβm looking to tweak and edit this project (in the future, looking at year 4 and year 5 players as well to further validate) as well as other analysis I think could be useful this offseason. These numbers are PPR scoring, and data comes from profootballreference.com
To do this, I took the overall stats and fantasy points averages for players who were in their 3rd year in the league during the 2021-22 season (NOTE: These charts only take into account drafted rookies so far for simplicity's sake, I know there's undrafted guys that have had major impacts). Some of my key questions included:
TL;DR
Some things to keep in mind:
Obviously, most players overall see an increase in production, with the biggest jump being from year 1 to year 2:
Okay cool, so players tend to get better the longer they're in the league, great.
The next step is to see how this breaks down by position group. Based on what I had been reading about the TE position the last couple of years, TEs are late bloomers by every stretch of the imagination, and f

This isn't by any means numerical analyzations of their performance, I'm not gonna tell you the reason Jaylen Waddle snapped is because The sky in UK was light blue and he lined up in the slot 45% of the time, it's because he Waddles on and off the field like a man.
STUDS of Week 6 Running Backs:
Derrick Henry: What is there to say about a 6'3 238 Lbs back that isn't already said? This guy should of been the 1.01 and the disrespect against him in NFL/Fantasy is ridiculous, I thought the bills would slow him down, but he was upset last night to find out Norman wasn't on the team anymore. 3 TDs? Like no clue what can stop this man from being a literal monster. not a stud, but a KING!
Uncle Fucking Lenny: You did it. I thought last week was just a good matchup for you, but you did it. You went into the back of your closet, grabbed your old jersey from Jax, wiped your cheeks, then s$%^ on the Eagles. Who is Gio? Vaughn? We know Rojo's in the locker room watching a continuous loop of his fumbles. But you Fournette. You said I'll be damned if these Jag's fans say they don't need me because of J Rob. You carried your team to an easy Win against a struggling, Team? QB? O-line? Idk what the eagles are anymore. Can we expect this to continue? Bruce seems to love calling your number and so does Brady, I'd be a fool to not follow the hot hand. STUD!
Najee Harris: You and Derrick Henry have to be best friends sometime this year the way y'all carry your team to victories. God bless ben's noodle arm for your success. You're an electric back, a blast from the past. I think the old heads are going to increase your jersey sales this week saying "That's a good olΓ©' RUNNING back" enjoy your bye week king.. you deserved it. STUD!
Jonathan Taylor: You're doing it, you soaked up all the cries of laughter your haters had, they preached the worries of Nyheim Hines, and the deadly catch of Marlon Mack. But you soaked up the tears and you'll sweat it out as you run against Houston like Madden on Rookie Mode. 10 Yards per Attempt? You should be arrested for such a murderous act, those Texans players have families you know. Thanks for not splurging all your points against the Ravens and drying out. Can't wait to see you in the playoffs with your top 5 easiest schedule ROS king. STUD!
Darrel Williams: Did I say that right? I almost wanted to say

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
#A Note on Outliers
I am a strong believer that these players that we try so hard to predict are entirely unpredictable. Any number of possible outcomes could occur for any possible player at any possible time, which is the fun (and the pain) of fantasy football for me. Players I write off become the new hot thing, and players I fall in love with crash and burn. The unpredictability is what makes it all go around.
Now there has been a lot of discourse on this subreddit about predictive stats. In particular, the '525' rule that has recently taken over (which I now believe is the 555 rule?). It is essentially that wide receivers that manage to eclipse 525 yards in their rookie seasons have a much higher chance of succeeding in their career. A pretty straight-forward rule and it's easy too see why it is indicative of success.
I won't bother bringing up players like Terrell Owens, Antwaan Randle El, or Roddy White that didn't reach the mark. The way the game is played has changed so much that this isn't even a valid argument.
In fact, I'm not even arguing against the rule itself. It's actually a very good place *to start* when evaluating young players and their ability going forward. That said, if you don't take each individual player in a case-by-case basis, you will get burned.
If you only follow the rule strictly, you would have moved on from players like Davante Adams, a perennial WR1 and an occasional overall WR1. You would have moved on from Michael Pittman, a blossoming young star who currently sits as the WR14 on the season. Or even Michael Gallup, who many avid NFL watchers claim 'could be a WR1 on most teams right now' and with a good agent and the right move, could be a big time player in the 2022 season.
You might have also stuck around too long on Mecole Hardman, who as a chiefs fan I'm telling you now, it's not going to happen. You may have been burned trading for Dorial Green-Beckham. Or you may have had your roster clogged with names like Robert Foster, Antonio Callaway, or Rae Carruth. You wouldn't want to put your trust in Rae Carruth now would you?
I have no problems with the 555 rule, like I said it's a great place to start. Hell even when searching for bad examples of players that hit it, the list of players to choose from was thin. I had to use a murderer as an example. But when you plot this much data, and especially when your data points are actual human beings, you will have outliers. Though Davante Adams didn't look
