This album is pretty neat and under the radar for it's lineup- 3 of my all time favorites together, Elvin, McCoy and Pharaoh. But the mix is kind of bizarre, the bass in particular.
Anyone have this one? It is 1982 so I guess some of the weird bass decisions could be early recording indicators of some of the more egregious studio and 'fusion' techniques and aesthetics that would bog down jazz for most of the 80's.
Just crazy to me that albums recorded at Van Gelders generally sounded so much better in 1962 than they did in 1982.

So I have this song in my mind. It's fully instrumental and I believe it's popular too as it comes on now and then on the mainstream radio. It sounds quite peacefully, like being on a beach when u close your eyes.
There are parts of the song that I always happen to mixup with Van Mccoy's The Hustle. But it's more soothing than that song.
It's distinctive part is that it begins with, as how i would describe it, a "whirlwind" of music going from low to higher notes.
I tried to find it by listening to these: 100 instrumental songs you recognise, but don't know the name of, hoping to find it, but to no avail.
