A list of puns related to "United States Postal Service Creed"
Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.
Something in the the mail?
I hope the Sub will forgive that this borders on politics, but is a way to get good rum to all our Sub members!
This bill, the USPS Shipping Equity Act, introduced to the US House of Representatives this summer, would allow the Post Office to deliver alcoholic beverages. They have been prevented from doing so by law since 1909. The bill has bipartisan support, and would help save the cash-strapped Post Office.

So funny thing...I got a letter today from USPS welcoming me and giving me a PIN and a password to login to liteblue to set up my self service profile.
However, I do not have a job. I accepted an offer a few weeks ago. Did NACI and fingerprints but have heard nothing since. My guess is it is too late now for a holiday job which is what I applied for. I did apply for other positions that I do not think are holiday positions but those are still just applications. No offers as of right now.
So, does this letter indicate my background check came back and everything is good? I just don't know what job they think I have.

Has anyone ever purchased a product from the US and got it shipped via USPS?
If so, how did it get to you after landing in South Africa?. I have been waiting ever since.
I've been working at the post office for 7 years as a Letter Carrier and only two of those years as a Full time regular. I work in a walk out office which means oversized packages are done by 2 ton trucks (like the ones UPS have) and i have driven them a lot when i wasn't a Full Time Regular so i'm already Used to driving big trucks which should make the switch easier for me.
I'm still pretty young at 27 and after talking to the ups guys i run into at my office and on my route it seems to me UPS is the better place to work as a Package Delivery Driver.
Better pay: 33 max level after 12 years at the post office compared to 40 after 4 years at UPS.
Better benefits: I pay 35 dollars whenever i visit my doctor and payed 200 dollars out of pocket for some simple blood work and god only knows how much i'll have to pay for a hospital visit or stay. Compare that to 10 copay for everything at UPS if what my UPS guys are saying is true.
More overtime with less hassle (management is always on my ass for any little bit of overtime i ask for and i've been through 3 management teams so i don't see that ever getting better).
The only con i can see is my UPS guys don't really have a life with all the overtime they work (At least at the post office you can get on work assignment so you don't have to do overtime all the time and management can only force to work 12 hours max and one day out of the week they have to give you a 8 hour day and give you a 8 hour day on your day-off if you decide to come in) but i'm used that and i really don't do much in my free time so i think it's worth the trade off.
So what are your thoughts and opinions? Any Advice?
