A list of puns related to "United States Civil Defense"
I drove from Florida to Ohio, the distance being 996 miles, or 1602.91 kilometers. For reference, thatβs roughly the same distance from Paris to Warsaw. And goodness did I see some horrid terrain on this trip.
Imagine youβre an AUS conscript from Orlando, and youβve been sent up to fight in West Virginia. The sheer distance youβd have to travel in a time where the Interstate Highway System doesnβt exist is just mind-boggling. Once you reach the Appalachias, then oh boy are you in for a bad time. Just one artillery piece in those mountains would cause one hell of a headache. Gaining ground in any direction would be painfully slow, and any guerrilla warfare in the area would just be hellish. If you survive any of that, then have fun crossing the Ohio River into the urban centers of the rust belt.
All of this only takes into account what Iβve seen. The Mississippi & the Rockies are undoubtedly even more daunting. Man living in the US in any KR timeline would be beyond tumultuous.
It's obvious that the South wanted to maintain slavery for the economic benefits, but how did they defend it?
I was thinking about a post I read on here earlier in which someone stated that the Democratic Party was pro-eugenics, and viewed anyone in opposition as "un-scientific". That statement got me thinking about the Democratic Party's ethical justification for slavery.
That's about all.
So I've tried to file a report twice now for generally the same issue. Maybe even 3 times, but I'm not even sure anymore as I've talked to so many people about this including the DA who basically referred me back to the PD.
Anyways, first time was in person. I didn't have as much as I have now with me at the time so I understood and didn'tpush it. This time I filed online but they don't let you upload documents, which sucks. I realized it was fraud from the very beginning and the contract is irrelevant but I still included all of the information.
They got back and said they won't accept the report. Not cool because the check has clear alterations that are not in my handwriting. The .00 at the end of the $25,000 amount is irrelevant because no law was broken there, but important to show that he did actually write on the check.
So here is how it started. I signed a contract with person A. Person B was the witness as well as the person who drew the contract. The contract outlines the rules and whatnot. The contract is only relevant to show where the money was supposed to be deposited and how it was to be handled. It is not relevant to the overall situation and can only show my intent as to what it was supposed to do.
Now we get to the criminal aspect. Person B decided he would take the check out of the folder and write his own company name on it, cash it and split or distribute it to person A. This is a circumvention of the contract, but most importantly this is alteration of a check, which is check fraud. The handwriting is clearly not mine. I have very very distinctive sloppy handwriting with certain "markers" on some of my letters. It is very very very difficult for me to write neatly. And yet the company name is as neat as can be with characteristics not present in my own handwriting. It's even different from the rest of the writing on the check! How a bank let this go through, I've no idea.
Here is a relevant penal code (criminal law). This is Ca. Pen. Code Β§ 475 but 470 goes into more detail on alterations.
(a)Β Every person who possesses or receives, with the intent to pass or facilitate the passage or utterance of any forged, altered, or counterfeit items, or completed items contained in subdivision (d) of Section 470 with intent to defraud, knowing the same to be forged, altered, or counterfeit, is guilty of forgery.(b)Β Every person who possesses any blank or unfinished check, note, bank bill, money order, or traveler's check, whether real or fi
... keep reading on reddit β‘I keep feeling like the United States is hitting the accelerator on a fast track to open state supported fascism with GOP attacks on voting rights and the moral panic over CRT and the Democrats being cowards not willing to actually fight for one of the most basic rights in the constitution and am wondering, for those who live in the US, do you think that after the midterms some time in the future, like 2-3 years, we will be headed towards civil war? If yes, how and why? If not, why not? Just an interesting little bit of speculation.
Dear Judge Nathan:
We write concerning an issue of pressing importance. It has come to the attention of the defense that one of the twelve jurors in this case (the βJurorβ) has been giving oral and videotaped interviews to various members of the press concerning the jury deliberations. These interviews have been publicly reported in several media outlets. (Footnote 1)
Among other things, the Juror told reporters that he disclosed to the other members of the jury during deliberations that he was a victim of sexual abuse and further described his memory of those events. According to the Juror, his disclosure influenced the deliberations and convinced other members of the jury to convict Ms. Maxwell.
MUCH OF THE LETTER IS REDACTED and then it picks up with

Should the defense prevail on this motionβand we believe the law and facts are clearly on our sideβit would render all other post-trial motions moot. Ms. Maxwell should not have to expend precious time and resources briefing other motions when this motion can and should be dispositive.
Accordingly, the defense respectfully requests that the Court set a briefing schedule for this motion alone and defer setting a briefing schedule for any other post-trial motions.
