I'm not a professional dog groomer though I bought an Emmi-pet ultrasonic toothbrush for my dog (a small poodle-cross) because she's started with a build up of plaque in her front teeth which admittedly happened because we've dropped the ball a bit when it comes to regular brushing, and I was hoping to spend a bit more now to avoid her having to have a dental under an anaesthetic later if it gets worse.
She's actually fairly tolerant of standard toothbrushing, though because I do a lot of shift work, and frequently come back exhausted, things like toothbrushing drop by the wayside and she can go a full week without brushing at times if I'm on night shifts.
Anyway, she absolutely hates the thing. I introduced it to her with lots of positive reinforcement/treats etc and she'll happily lick the toothpaste off the brush head, but when it comes to actually placing it on her teeth (bearing in mind I don't actually brush, just set it over the gumline) she's like a bucking bronco! She clearly isn't a fan of the sensation of it being on her gums.
The actual device seems very cheap and I wasn't sure if it was legitimate or whether I'd been conned as the only way I know it's on is if the green LED is lit, but her reaction to it tells me there is clearly something going on with it! She doesn't seem to mind when it's turned on close to her head so maybe it's the contact/bone conduction of the ultrasound waves that she detests...
I know a lot of groomers offer similar ultrasonic toothbrush services and I was wondering if you had any tips on how to use the ultrasonic brush for a dog who isn't a fan of it!

Having problems with my teeth since years, recently got an ultrasonic toothbrush and I am amazed. But the one I got is really bulky. I travel a lot with backpack and tent, so my question is: Can anyone recommend a really small ultrasonic toothbrush? Preferably with USB Type-C port, not a charging station.
Currently the Mijia T100 is looking good, really cheap, not too big, only micro usb but could live with that. One reason it's hard to compare different models is that you never know if the given size is with or without brush head... Got something better? Even smaller, or maybe with Type-C? Appreciate any tip!
