A list of puns related to "Ucl Institute Of Cognitive Neuroscience"
Hi there!
We are looking for participants to take part in our decision making study. The study will take place at The Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, 17-19 Queen Square, London, UK. It is a two-part study (each part will be completed on different days).
Session 1 will consist of some self-report questionnaires and short, structured interviews about your mood, personality and mental health. This session determines your eligibility to take part in Session 2 and may last between 1-2 hours.
Session 2 will consist of a number of computerised tasks where you will be asked to make decisions about whether you want to take a given challenge or make a given gamble. You will make these decisions under the prospect of gaining or losing money.
This session will last approximately 2 hours.
You may participate if you:
-have NO history of neurological disorders
-are 18 to 60 years old
You will receive Β£7.50 per hour for the first session and Β£20 for the second session + a bonus of up to Β£20 depending on your performance on the tasks in the second session.
If you are interested, please fill out a short survey to establish your eligibility at https://redcap.idhs.ucl.ac.uk/surveys/?s=8MGYgeoWKL[1]
Once the form is filled out and if you are eligible to take part, we will contact you by phone/email to book a testing session.
This study has been approved by the UCL Departmental Research Ethics Committee.
Thank you for helping out with our research!
Hi!
Can anyone help out a Psychology student with this book - Cognitive Neuroscience of Language by David Kemmerer?
So for some context, I'm currently doing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I'm very interested in the biological aspect of Psychology and plan to do a PhD in Psychology with a focus in either Clinical Psychology or Neuropsych.
I plan to work in a hospital setting following my PhD, so I want to take a masters that proves that I have a good "biological" background, hence my reason for wanting to opt for an MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience.
Would it be wise to take a Masters in Cognitive Neuroscience, but then do something different for my PhD, like Clinical Psychology? My current degree puts a lot of focus on research and counselling approaches, so I'm wondering if not doing a Masters in Clinical Psych (and opting for MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience) would make me miss some important info that I would need for a PhD in Psychology.
Alternative masters recommendations are welcome!

My most recent hyper-fixation has been learning more about why we are the way we are and what exactly is going on in our brains. If you know your way around scientific papers and have the interest needed to read the whole thing, itβs definitely worth the effort.
(I personally just load these longer papers into a text->speech app and have them read to me while I drive/go on a walk/prep dinner etc)

I know that your major does not matter for med school, but what do you guys think
Iam an international student so preferably virtual internships
I am trying to determine if a PhD in Cognitive Science rather than a PhD in Neuroscience is right for me... I recently graduated college with a degree in Neuroscience, and I always loved the psychology/behavioral side of neuroscience rather than anything wet lab. With a PhD in Cognitive Science program, will I get any wet lab? It seems like most of the labs I'm finding in various cogsci programs are more human-centered rather than on the microbiological scale - is this true? My dream is to study cognition in people with developmental disabilities, specifically in Down syndrome.
Also, are there any other careers outside of academia that may hire Cognitive Science PhD graduates?
