A list of puns related to "Ubs Ag"
*chuckles in crayon and lights up a doobie*

Volatility and Precious Metals as well you say? Talk about common trends this year (is just the main ingredient crime, or is most of the ingredients?)
A description of, and disclaimer for, the products straight from their prospectus:
**"**The ETNs are not intended to be “buy and hold” investments. Instead, the ETNs are intended to be daily trading tools for traders and similarly sophisticated investors to express short-term market views and manage daily trading risks. The ETNs are designed to achieve their stated investment objectives on a daily basis. The performance of the ETNs over different periods of time can differ significantly from their stated daily objectives. The ETNs are considerably riskier than securities that have intermediate or long-term investment
*objectives, and are not suitable for investors who plan to hold them for a period of more than one day. Investors should actively and frequently monitor their investments in the ETNs on a daily or intraday basis, and any decision to hold the ETNs for more than one day should be made with great care and only as the result of a series of daily (or more frequent) investment decisions to remain invested in the ETNs for the next one-day period. If you hold the ETNs for more than one day, it is possible that you will suffer significant losses in the ETNs even if the performance of the Index (as defined below) over the time you hold the ETNs is positive, in the case of the 3x Long Natural Gas ETNs, or negative, in the case of the 3x Inverse Natural Gas ETNs. Accordingly, the ETNs should be purchased only by sophisticated investors who understand t

Hi y'all, following up on more UBS/Swiss Bank research that I've been following. To start you've probably seen Bloomberg posts like this before a la u/fastpath77 and others talking about dark pool routing:

As well as Bloomberg terminal shots like this a la u/ravada and more:
So for those of you vaguely familiar with my past posting history, a lot has delved into rogue traders (Kweku Adoboli, Nick Leeson, Jerome Kerviel) and specifically UBS and their history of naked shorting.
Anywho, while looking up some research on UBS' dark pools found some nuggets that made some things click. Namely, I can understand why Citadel, Virtu might be listed on the other side (same as Stevie Cohen, Jeff Yass Queen and Suss, etc.) but why UBS (or rather UBS Group AG)?
Long story short: UBS owns the largest dark pool in US equities and has done so for some time.

Found that little nugget while ran across that UBS ATS (their dark pool) won Best Equities Trading Platform at the 2021 Markets Choice Awards. This past May 2021, Markets Media published an interview with Seth Slomiak, head of UBS's dark pool that said straight from the horse's mouth that “UBS ATS has been the leading [or #1] ATS by [executed] transaction volume since August 2015”, cheering the platform’s “quality liquidity”. In the same article, the interviewer asked the Sethmeister to comment on recent high trading volume & volatility, plus high retail activity since 2020, and he said based on internal data they found they constantly met record volumes, including the milestone on March 18th, 2020 when it “executed over…[1 billion] shares” (with some double counting thrown in).

And just a few weeks after that award, S&P Global’s Declan Harty reported dark pool trading hit all time highs of 44.93% on April 27th, and “...the 3rd

The precious metals expert lays out his short-term, medium-term and long-term outlook for gold and silver, and eyes the insiders’ next move with full Basel III compliance just 17 weeks away.

From a quick analysis, this sheet is basically disclosing this trusts positions in certain stocks, from markets all around the world. The conflict on interest that I BELIEVE is there, is that don't the banks control the exchange rate? So, if say a bet wasn't playing out quite like expected on a certain stock, couldn't you play with the exchange rate to make it a winning bet?
The five banks will have to pay fines in excess of 1.6 billion dollars. But surely with such serious charges, one would assume that there are also some people which were involved in the crime. Yet not one person has had any charges brought against them. Why is this? I had a friend growing up who got 8 months (which he sat) for tagging some doors in an alleyway ( supposedly the damage totaled more than 5 thousand dollars) , so obviously the US is a country that has no qualms about putting people in jail for a long time for pretty small offenses. So why it when individuals are involved in felonies which have far more impact on everyone's lives, does nobody even get taken to court for it?
From 01.01.2014 to 17th november 2015.
I could only find it in dollars, from the NYSE, but I would need it in CHF from the Swiss Exchange.
Thanks in advance!
