A list of puns related to "Twice Kpop"
A lot of people (myself included) say that twiceβs music has gotten better and better over their career. Many use fancy as the cutoff line between βoldβ twice and βnewβ twice and say this is where twiceβs music leveled up and started getting really good. Iβve noticed tho that a lot of people bring down their older music when talking about how great their newer music is.
This is something I just canβt get behind. I fell in love with twiceβs music long before fancy and at the time I had already considered them to be one of the best. All their old music still holds up so well and I can listen to their old albums front to back the same way I can their new albums. Would I say their new music is better? Probably but that doesnβt mean their older music doesnβt deserve praise as well. After all that music is what made them one of the top ggs of all time.
Hi, I just randomly found this question on Quora and I think its pretty interesting. Please, share your thought, I would love to read itπ€©ππΌ. Thank you
(it can be a sub unit collab too)
Ps. It's for fun only
Iβve never posted before but this has been on my mind, so I wanted to see if any else thinks this! Iβll keep it kinda short and sweet just because I just want to see everyone elseβs opinion on this.
I think this is unpopular because I think everyone else thinks that K-pop representative GG and Nations GG are like the βsameβ I guess. More so, I always see these titles are aimed towards BP and Twice (probably because I keep up with both and like both!) I personally feel like Blackpink are way more successful and well known globally, which is why I think they deserve the title of K-pop representative GG. The amount of talk that is about BP (at least within the west) is crazy. People who donβt know much about K-pop at least know who BP and BTS are. Especially with how successful The Album did with its release, HYLT peaking at 33 in BB hot 100, The Album making a million in pre-sale orders and debuting at 2 in BB 200. Also no one else besides BTS and BP have debuted a Korean song within the hot 100. In my opinion, theyβre like the female counterparts to BTS in that K-pop would not be as well known in the west without these two pillars.
However Twice are known to be way more successful within Korea and Japan, and are growing which is why I think they deserve the title of Nations GG. I do see them gaining slightly more traction within the U.S. as 2021 was a pretty big year for them! Finally hitting the BB Hot 100 with the Feels, top 5 in BB 200, their sales increase for F.O.L beating out More & More. Theyβve always been a popular group in Korea since their rookie days, have the most daesangs for female group, and continually exceed in sales from their previous releases. But no matter how good their Korean releases are, I donβt think they would gain the same traction as BP. Who knows though, I canβt see into the future and maybe a future Korean single will chart on the BBhot 100 for them.
Edit: My apologies, I forgot Psy and Wonder Girls also debuted on the hot 100. But I guess Psy doesnβt really βcountβ on this specific argument because heβs not a group. As for Wonder Girls, I canβt remember if it was the English version of Nobody that charted or the Korean, so someone can correct me! :)
So FoL just debuted on metacritic today with a score of 91... it's currently the highest rated kpop album by metacritc of all time (also I could not recommend the other albums on this list more, they are god tier!).
And this made me realise, I've seen so many reviews this era singing its praises:
It's the album that dethroned Signal as my favourite Twice release, others have come close but never quite done it. It's cool that their most successful album ever is making waves outside the fandom too. With all the claims of Twice losing their touch, doing too much, the "quality over quantity" accusations and flop allegations (did I mention it's their most successful album ever...), I must say it's nice to see people that feel the same way as you do.
Also if anyone has any links to translations of Korean reviews (even if they're super bad), I'd love to read them! Haven't been able to get my hands on any this comeback.
While I'm a fan of every KPop video, my favorite ones are when they film on location similar to the ones like:
SNSD's Party
TWICE's Alcohol-Free
NiziU's Make you happy
etc.
I'm not generally picky when it comes to my fave's music videos, I just find it suffocating when most of them are filmed on a studio set these days.
When they film on location I love looking at the scenery.
I think I might belong to bossa nova genre but I am not sure. What Iβm sure of, is that itβs a bop
I think with there latest comeback trailer, i 100% now claiming that twice is now THE concept queens of kpop right now and think this positive of them is often overlooked by many.
With this latest korean cb, and to add their diversed arsenal of japanese cbs, plus the latest english single, I think its safe to say that twice is now THE concept queens of kpop, particularly in terms of diversity and how well they can pull every concept out there. I dont think currently atm, no kpop gg had built up a discography and videography that is the same wide spectrum of concepts as twice.
From their early rookie signature of bubblegum pop like cheer up, heartshaker and likey, superpowers and aliens with signal, edgy high-teen concept of LOA, synthwave dance track of fancy, elegant concept of feel special, prom concept of the feels, hippy summer vibes of more&more, film love scene concept of what is love?, retro concept of icsm, summer concepts of dance the night away and alcohol free (which is also kinda latin), christmas concept of merry&happy, knock knock and the best thing i ever did, halloween/fantasy-superhero concept of TT, circus, carnival and tarot concept of yes or yes, and finally now, a sci-fi/scientific concept. And i am not even including their japanese cb concepts.
Their japanese development of concepts and progression of their discography and videography is impressively synonymous to their korean discography if you look into it. Beginning with their bubblegum pop concept with one more time brand new girl, wake me up, bdz, even going to an extreme with candy pop as a very candy world/wonderland fantasy concept, they even went 80's retro cute pop concept with their i want you back cover. Then the concept change with breakthrough in sync with the fancy 2019 changeup. Then the buildup continues with fake&true which is similar with feel special but with a more alluring/tempting style. They went back a little cutesy/playful with fanfare that gives up a very upbeat cheerleader vibes that is like suited with olympics kind of concept. I see better and kura kura in the same spectrum of concept although I am not an expert so i cant pinpoint it but i see them more leaning on the more mature one with kura kura leaning more on love portrayal concept. And the latest, perfect world, even went deeper in the mature side giving off a theatrical concept, "burlesque" vibes with seducive flavors into it. Their upcoming japanese single in december is a christmas

Does anyone with concert experience know if resale prices generally decrease as the date of the event gets closer on sites like StubHub and Seat Geek?
as most of yall probably know twice has a nomination for best kpop so to make it easier to vote, hereβs a quick link: https://www.mtvema.com/vote/bestk-pop/ good luck once & twice (happy once day too)
.
I wonder if thereβs a link between other music types and them leading to kpop.
Why do you think we have never seen Koreans try and debut in Jpop , or any Jpop group have some Korean or Chinese members ?
Correct me if I am wrong and there are groups like this.
