A list of puns related to "Tufnell"
I recently moved to a neighbourhood close to the Tufnell park tube station and was shocked to see that the tube station closes at night. On some days I see the board outside that says βThe station will be closed from 22:00 today to 07:30 tomorrow due to staff shortagesβ but how do I know this update on days I havenβt travelled onward on the tube? The TfL app doesnβt show it, nor does any map. The only place I found was the TfL access Twitter handle scrolling through their heap of tweets. How long will this go on? Itβs gotten to a point of great discomfort to not just me, but Iβm sure to many others who rely on this.
I work in events in the city and on the odd day I catch the last tube back home, Iβm greeted to either Kentish Town announcement that the station is closed. How can one keep up with their updates and schedule?
(I usually ask the Staff members at Leicester Square, Charing Cross or embankment and they say that itβs open, which itβs clearly not when I get there)
was that really the going rent price in london in the 90s!?

Hi,
So one of my favourite views of London is [here in Tufnell Park](London London https://maps.app.goo.gl/Vxd9Apbcvn3h25zM9) where there is a small park and a huge closed off area saying something about Thames water.
There is a similiar closed off area owned by Thames Water with a great view in Crouch End [here](Dropped pin Near Finsbury Park, London https://maps.app.goo.gl/SpB2A8YXY1UDPKnu8).
Neither even have a name according to Google maps. Any ideas?
Edit: the link formatting did not work very well.
Edit: turns out they are reservoirs.
Wanna meet some people there if I can, me and a friend will be wearing most likely a Modern Baseball top or a Mom Jeans top.
Thought I'd do a report from the London gig, so here it is, with a few photos (sorry for the quality!)
Venue was one of those old slightly ramshackle Victorian buildings London has a busload of though luckily this one appears to have been modernized inside recently. After coming out of the tube station opposite I spent half an hour in the queue, listening to people explaining to confused drunks coming out of the adjacent bar what all the people were standing around for "You see, there are these five Japanese girls who dress up as maids and get on stage and....". Well hopefully the Metropolitan Police haven't had too many reports of there being some sort of Grand Pervert Convention in North London this weekend.
First thing to notice was that the organization wasn't too hot - no separate queues for VIP ticket holders and I nearly missed the photo session as no-one mentioned the doors had been opened and VIPs were supposed to come forward. There was a big German tour bus and merchandise trailer just outside the entrance so it looks like their organization for the Euro end of the tour has stepped up a notch, at least. Got in the last batch of entrants and had our photo taken. The girls themselves said hello and seemed very relaxed (that's "relaxed" as in "acting like a bunch of badly-behaved five-year-olds on a family picnic" - poking each other in the ribs at strategic moments and giggling a lot and such). Photographer actually took three attempts - get the awful feeling it might have been because I was blinking as they had an extremely powerful flash (we'll see later!). I now have a detailed knowledge of what the back of Miku's neck looks like. Not sure what I'm going to do with that but, whatever.
After that, off to the merch stall run by two German(?) staff, who presumably come with the tour bus. T-shirts were the 8-bit chara design or kanji for 'Seikai Seifuku' ('World Domination' - listen to Miku and you'll hear that a lot, it's her ultimate objective). Bought a pint of cider at the bar and headed for the stage. Found myself about 7-10 rows back, standing behind someone who was dedicated enough to be wearing the official Japanese tour T-Shirt and amused myself by trying to decipher all the kanji. Interesting to hear how many in the crowd were relatively new fans of the band - I guess BM's fairly liberal approach to using YouTube for promotion (unlike many other Japanese bands) is still paying off. Of course, they w
