Happy Halloween everyone! This stage prop was from either the 2000 or 2001 Halloween show (I can't remember which one) at The Trocadero Theatre in Philly. During the toilet paper fight, after Black No.1, Peter just grab it and threw it into the pit. I was able to catch the base of it but the top of it was broke off by someone else in the process. I figured I'd post a couple of pics of it. Man, I miss seeing them on Halloween....

Very long post incoming!

Almost a week ago, u/whyareallthegoodones commented in the WCC about a tweet that pointed out the infamous similarity between Fallin’ Flower and Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses. This awoke a primal desire within me that demanded a Seventeen 12 dancing princesses / general fairytale concept. An ungodly number of hours later and here we are!

Some notes before I begin:

• I will be referencing the version of the fairytale collected and recorded by the Brothers Grimm throughout this post.
• I aimed for the album to have a cohesive sound overall (YMMDay being the prestige). Also, I would absolutely love a full album with this concept!! But this post is long enough as is so you’re just getting a mini!!
• There is no need to check out all the examples I list, though having the full picture always helps. In most cases, just the first example will illustrate what I’m imagining just fine.
• This essentially became a creative writing assignment with a sprinkle of reality, and I ran out of steam somewhat towards the end so uh. The quality of writing will vary a bit, and I’m very sure I will contradict myself a few times in this post.

Without further ado, I present to you: Seventeen as the 13 Dancing Princes!

Music

Ah, my personal bias for actual instruments. The flute and sax in Fast Pace, the electric guitar at the end of L&R (that did not deserve to be faded out!)... any outstanding instrument usage (whether recorded or a good electronic recreation) catches my ear! This comeback concept lends itself naturally to classical music; as such, I’d like to hear the Woozi + Bumzu + Prismfilter team (+ any of the members participating in production) heavily utilize classical instruments in this album.

Many earlier SVT songs (in Love&Letter especially) had strings, woodwinds, etc. but most later releases have steadily become majorly electronic, so hopefully this album will be a breath of fresh air, sound-wise?

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

I wanted to tell a story about my experience with meeting Trevor back in 2013. I went to see WKUK perform a live show at the Trocadero Theatre in Philly and it was amazing. (Which was the show where during the Abraham Lincoln sketch Trevor sprinted on stage and climbed from the stage to the balcony and it was so funny and unexpected.) After the show they did a meet and greet. I had gone with a few of my friends but my best friend at the time couldn’t make it because he was grounded. So we get up to meet them and I asked Trevor if he would talk to my friend on the phone since he couldn’t be there (fully expecting him to say no since they were busy and had a line of people waiting) and he was just like “absolutely let’s do it”. So I called him and Trevor took the phone and was like “hey dude what’s up sorry you couldn’t make it” and had a whole conversation with him. I was so stoked and surprised he actually did it and my friend was so happy. After that we asked if we could get a photo and all the guys got in the photo except Timmy because he was doing something at the merch table. Trevor was like “wait hold on don’t take the photo yet” and yelled at Timmy to come over so we could get a photo with the whole crew. I was like 16 so this was one of my first real experiences meeting a celebrity and I was just blown away how nice Trevor was. I’ll never forget that night and how incredibly cool he was.
