A list of puns related to "Trap Muscle"
I've tried to save money, but now I am finally going to bite another bullet and try neuromuscular dentistry.
I've tried releasing my masseter. I've tried releasing my temporalis. Yeah, my jaw opens wide, yeah I don't get clicking when I open and close my jaw but since February of 2021, I've been having my right side of my face tighten, now both. I've been 2 months in physical therapy and I'm going to have to wait longer to get more dry needling on my upper trapezius because the current physical therapist isn't certified to do dry needling like the other one is. It's going to be a wait.
I'm also looking for a less stressful job because the stress at my job working with others negatively affects my TMJ.
Been sick of it. I don't care if I have to go into medical debt at this point I just want to get better so I can enjoy life more.
I started with a shoulder twitch 3 weeks ago and went down the rabbit hole for ***. I have a EMG on Tuesday and the neurologist just said sheβs doing it only for reassurance for me as she said theyβre more than likely BFS. 3 days after my shoulder twitch started I started getting twitches everywhere on my body but the main and most powerful and consistent twitches is still in that one spot in my shoulder.
Now here I am 3 weeks later and my right knee aches both the front of my ankles hurt, the part where my muscle twitches on my shoulder hurts and so does my joint. The pain has gone to my other shoulder a bit too and my neck has pain too. Even back of my shoulder blade and it hurts my feet to stand for too long. I still have a full range of motion and I donβt think I have clinical weakness, maybe perceived weakness but not clinical.
I know you guys arenβt medical professionals but any insight would mean a lot. Iβm still terrified this could be *** but now Iβm thinking maybe arthritis? But idk Iβm just over the feeling of not feeling like my normal self. Iβm 26M for those curious as well.
Any insight would be appreciated thank you.
This is likely my worst symptom, the pain never gives up and I have relentless migraines. What methods of relief have you found works for you?
This same injury happened to me twice - 4 months ago and and then 3 weeks ago. It happens when I overdo it without stretching first and then I get this "injury"/pain.
Starts out with stiffness/soreness in the shoulder - just feels like you had a workout. But then after a few days there's a pain point in the lower/trap around where the top corner of your shoulder blade is going up to almost my neck. The stiff/sore shoulder turns into a dull throbbing. This lasts like 3 weeks while gradually disappearing. But for the 3 days of peak pain, I can barely sleep because no position lying/sitting/standing is comfortable.
Does anyone else get this and do you know what exactly it is?
I've looked up symptoms and guessed it might be my subscapularis? Either way after the first time this happened I started being diligent about stretching before a round or range and never had a problem. Unfortunately, I got fitted for almost a full bag 3 weeks ago and didn't think to stretch before it, even though I ended up hitting balls for almost 2 hours - the absolute worse situation to not stretch before.
Iβm struggling with doing handstands as I feel it mainly in my traps and neck - they become very tight and I feel like Iβm using all arm strength and itβs not βeffortlessβ at all. I know Iβm not lacking in arm/shoulder strength, but I do get tight traps pretty often and they always try to take over. Is it normal to feel this discomfort? It is really hindering my practice so Iβd really appreciate any advice. Thank you!
So, I've learnt that I should tense my lower traps for everything apparantly. (When walking, sitting, reaching for shelves etc).
However, when I poke my muscles when I think I'm tensing my lower traps, I can feel my lower back flexing? Is this okay? I think my lower traps are tensing along with it aswell.
Thanks.
The trap master still hits players in a muscle car when they drive through it I remember when this used to happen with the orv and I honestly hated it Pls fix it so it doesn't hit you if you're driving through a trap in a muscle car
I have attached a pic for reference. About a week ago, I did weighted push-ups (asking mom to push on my back), which I have been doing for several months. I always make sure to "unshrug" my shoulders as much as I can while doing any compound upper body exercises (ie bring my shoulders down/towards my feet as much as I can) because I read that doing so minimizes risk of shoulder injury.
However, I think I have been doing so too forcefully, or maybe there is some imbalance that I need to correct. That time I did weighted pushups a week ago was the first time I got pain in the area joining the trap muscles to the neck. I decided to take a break for a few days, and the pain subsided. I got back to doing just normal pushups without external weight (still "unshrugging" my shoulders as much as I could) and still got the same pain in the same trap/neck joint area after waking up today morning.
Any corrective exercises that I could do to stretch/strengthen any muscles that could help with this pain? Any tips for doing pushups in better ways to avoid this pain? Or any other helpful tips? I'd appreciate any help.
What's that portion meant to feel like? Is it supposed to be a usual smooth texture underneath?
My back muscles are developed/muscly.
Mine has these huge bigger than testicle sized bumps inside. (1 each side). (It's in the outer portion of the mid traps muscle, when I protract the scapula, it's more prominent) Is it meant to be like that? I can move the bump around with my finger. I don't want to massage it if it's anatomically meant to be like that.
I put a lacrosse ball and pushed on it, and I got a sensation along my side neck and a tightness/pinch in my front delt. Plus it hurts when I push on it.
My lower traps feel like a normal soft muscle. So that's why I'm not sure if my mid trap is meant to have this in there lol.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
EDIT: Please let me know ASAP. If this is a knot/trigger point. Releasing this would be amazing considering the size.
I have seen it happen some times and I wondered if it had a name. Examples:
Iβm waiting on a referral to neurology so Iβm currently on no medication for POTS. I get really bad neck pain and tightness that cause severe headaches.
Would strengthening the area make it better or worse?
I used to play drums years back, and have played a little on and off since. One I thing I noticed a little while ago was that my trap muscles above my shoulders are seriously misaligned. If I push my shoulders forward, only my left really lifts up.
I never really knew why this was, until today when I was drumming and noticed the tension I put on my left arm when doing anything fast paced and constant (blast beats for example). My right arm technique is solid but Iβve never had great left arm technique, when blasting, Iβm definitely using my entire arm more than my wrist, and this feels like it could be the answer.
