A list of puns related to "Toyah"
Well deserved in my opinion :)
Marking spoiler - the poll would give a major plot line conclusion away. In fact I havenβt finished the episode yet so Iβd be spoiler-ing myself!
Who do you think Toyah & Imran should do morally, about their βSophies Choiceβ style foster conundrum?
I know what I think but Iβll wait to say!
At 10pm on Sunday the 21st of October 2018, a Facebook post was shared asking if anyone had seen a 24 year old Toyah Cordingley, after she took her dog for a walk at 2pm that afternoon to a place called Wangetti Beach, 42 km, North of Cairns, Queensland.
On the 22nd of October 2018, it was reported that her body had been found in a shallow grave, and her dog was found tied up.
For context the beach she was at, while quiet, you can see the beach from the highway and there is also a very popular lookout at the end of the beach, where a huge numbers of tourist stop to take photos.
As a part of the investigation within 3 weeks, the police had received over 500 phone calls, and the public volunteering, photos, video footage and dashcam footage take on the Sunday after one and around the beach.
The police also released traffic footage, asking for anyone to come forward and identify their vehicles, or identify other vehicles in the footage.
The police have been very quiet about what injuries Toyah sustained during the attack, but it has been described as Vicious. One detective made the comment that looking at the injuries it would be more consistent with the attack being personal, and not random. However all people close to the victim that they are aware of, have been cleared including her boyfriend.
In December 2018 the media made an accountment that the police were narrowing on a βkey suspectβ that they were able to track using video footage and Phone GPS data. The suspect Rajwinder Singh, lived and worked as a nurse in a town 40km south of Cairns, Innisfail. But sudden left the country (within 1 to 2 days of the murder) and returned to India.
After 2 years of no progress that family has been trying to get public support to pressure the Queensland police and Australian government to try an track the suspect down in India, and extradite him back to Queensland for questioning.
Although he has been identified as a key suspect, the police are clear that they want him for questioning, and are not in the position to be able to arrest him for the murder, they need to question him to move the investigation forward.
So the good news is on the 19 of March 2021, the Australian Attorney General has confirmed that he has signed the extradition order to bring Rajwinder Singh back to Australia for questioning.
