A list of puns related to "Top Ten Greatest"
-No fillers!
-Has to be actually solo accomplishments so "Helping in the Ninja war" or "she was there when Alien Ninja did shit" doesn't count.
-Again, no fillers!
Also personally challenging u/EdoTenseiSwagbito because he's probably the only one who can do it in this sub.
Fun fact: That fight in the anime against Temari didn't happen in the manga it was actually just two pages
Tenten is a fascinating character for me, I've never seen an Author give oh so little of a shit about a character.
Could you please explain why you put each raid boss where they are on the list and why you like them so much? I'd love to hear everyone's opinion on this because I'm relatively new to WoW and I completed my first ever raid (Castle Nathria) on normal difficulty 2 months ago. The feeling I got when killing Sire Denathrius was probably the most fun thing I did in the game ever, and I want to know what people think of the other raid bosses in the game.
Side Question: Are there any bosses in Castle Nathria that you thought were good or will be remembered throughout WoW history?
A play on words.
For people saying all the losses are just an unfortunate things that happens: no, this is an unprecedented loss of absolute legends dying in a short time span.
RIP Tom, Hank, Joe, Phil, Al and Bob.
And thatβs not even mentioning Lou Brock, Whitney Ford, Sutton, etc who didnβt crack the top 50 (or actually even top 100) by WAR (bbr).
Btw: remaining living members of top 50 WAR: Bonds, Mays, Clemens, Arod, Ricky, Big Hurt, Big Unit, Schmidt, Maddux, Pujols, Yaz, Cal, Blylevin, Beltre, Gaylord Perry, Boggs, Carlton, and George Brett. Imagine how unfathomable it would be to chose SIX of those names to die in the next ten months! Thatβs what we just did.
It is a question that is difficult to answer so get as close as you can. And if 10 is too short a limit list more if you like, I just want to see what you lovely folks here in /r/books hold in your highest regards.
In no particular order here are mine:
I have also read quite a lot by Herman Hesse and Kurt Vonnegut but can't really narrow it down to one or even two that stand out more than others.
Edit: Want to throw out honorable mentions to Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy, The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath, and Dark Matter by Blake Crouch.
Edit 2:. Thank you everyone for sharing those books which hold a special importance for you. I'll definitely be coming back to this in the future whenever I am stuck on what to read next. Also want to run by you an Instagram account I run called A Life & Mind where I have been collecting quotes from authors, artists, and influential people in general who in my opinion pose concepts which hold a universal significance that I believe cannot be expressed better. Thanks!

Rivals II Jordan lets us know he has a date with destiny.
Jordan was paired up with Marlon for his rookie season. They were the 3rd best team this season after CT/Wes and Frank/Johnny. Throughout the season, on a few occasions, other teams referred to them as βthe rookies who are good at everythingβ.
Jordan/Marlon won one mission in the early stages of R2. Stumped, the solo mission that Jordan/Marlon won was based around intelligence and strategy. Jordan winning just the fourth mission into his Challenge career that involved wits against experienced opposition such as CT, Wes, and Johnny lets us know Jordan is someone to look out for.
Jordan/Marlon also become victorious in the last two male eliminations of the season against Leroy/Ty and Knight/Preston, to acquire a deserving position in the final challenge. They get third place in the finals due to Marlon holding them back because of his poor swimming and arriving to the elimination stage last.
Jordan bounces back from Sophomore Slump (Free Agents) with Exes II win.
Jordanβs second season, Free Agents, was an unmemorable experience. He performed poorly and didnβt live up to his expectations after having a phenomenal rookie season on Rivals II. Exes II is where we find out Jordan actually has enough bite to back up his humongous bark.
βThe Wonder Twinsβ Jordan/Sarah won three missions (On Again Off Again, Wrecking Ball, Donβt Let Me Down) and thanks to T.J. letting us know who falls short of first every mission, we know that Jordan/Sarah got second place in three other missions (Open Arms, The Brush Off, and Are You The One?). They land in the top 2 for six out of ten missions.
Jordan/Sarah also won one of the final eliminations of the season. They beat Zach/Jonna where Jordan puts up his best single competitive performance yet (which I delve into further later in this assessment).
Jordan owned the Exes 2 final challenge. Jordan showed us

This list is based on how famous they were in there time.NOT CURRENTLY!I would recommend giving the descriptions a read if this topic peaks your interest.
1.Muhammad Ali-he made the biggest impact in the world politically and arguably within sports period. At a time when boxing was probably the most popular sport,he also had the most iconic fights and basically invented brash bravado and trash talking within sports. Along with that he made a huge rumble in the public eye when he dodged the draft for Vietnam war(when 85% of Americans supported the war).Few things were more frowned upon then being a draft dodger during that time period. While also opposing racism and joining the black Muslims to go against national racism.Remember people were getting killed for fighting for equal rights(guys like Malcolm x and Mlk had been murdered). So it was an extremely bold move for him to stand up for his people like that,he had enough of platform and notoriety-that he could have easily gotten killed for doing what he did(since he was such a big influence, which the white establishment didnβt like). He also fought in a time when Ppv didnβt exist and fights were broadcasted on regular Tv for everyone to see. Which brought in more eyes
2.Mike Tyson-he carried the torch of Ali as far as superstardom in boxing goes.Ali had retired just 5 years prior to tyson turning pro. Tyson came came on the scene at the perfect time,it was as if the boxing gods had aligned the stars perfectly for him. He was youngest heavyweight champ of all time at the young age of 20.He was arguably the most physically gifted boxer with spectacular knockouts and was beating guys with unparalleled domination that had never been seen before(or since). He was also convicted of rape when he was already the most famous athlete on the planet.Which made headline news across the world.Although it was an unfortunate event,it undoubtedly raised his notoriety even more(publicity is publicity). Later in his career, he had bitten a guyβs ear in the most watched fight in pay per view history.Again, putting him in global headline news once again. Overall the controversy in his life made him even more famous, and made him known to people who never watched boxing a match or even people that donβt watch sports at all.
3.Joe Louis-he had the most title defenses in heavyweight history(27 defenses). Not to mention he had been champion when boxing was the biggest sport in the world.Today soccer is the biggest but that wasnβt th

I received 254 responses in 2 days which I think is pretty good considering the traffic on the sub with no basketball. Out of the 254 responses, 239 of them were considered Good Entries (No joke entries and no duplicate entries) giving us a 94% success rate in terms of entries. I appreciate everyone for buying into the survey!
Before getting into the actual lists, I just wanted to show some of the fan data that was collected.
Age vs Most Important Factor for Greatness
Next will be the actual Raptor data. I'll start with the total list then post the group-defined lists.
Top Ten Raptors - Primary Greatness Measure
Top Ten Raptors - First Season Watching

If I redo this, is there anything I should do differently (Get more/different questions, show different results etc.) ? Any suggestions are welcome!

No. 4 - C.T. Tamburello (Real World: Paris)
No. 3 - Jordan Wiseley (Real World: Portland)
No. 2 - Johnny Bananas (Real World: Key West)
Bananas is the face of the Challenge franchise.
Bananas is the most popular player to ever play. Heβs appeared on the most seasons ever (20). Although this statistic does nothing to boost the argument of why heβs considered one of the greatest ever, winning 6 of them certainly does. Thatβs more than anyone in the history of the show (Darrell comes in second place with 4, then thereβs a handful of challengers with three).
Bananas non-believers may argue that his 6 wins come as a result of having more at bat attempts than anyone else by a large margin. That is indeed true, but the same non-believers also argue that he leads the Challenge in most elimination losses ever (13). This is where I come in and make the same counter-argument they made to his six championships: heβs appeared more than anyone else ever by a large margin, so itβs not the most ludicrous thing in the world that heβs lost more than anyone in the history of the show. That 10-13 elimination record could be a lot prettier sure, but I donβt think itβs enough to knock Bananas out of the G.O.A.T. tier. Why? Babe Ruth is in the G.O.A.T. tier of baseball. Babe Ruth led the MLB in home runs (similar to Johnny leading the Challenge in championship crowns), but he also led the league in strikeouts (epitomizing Johnny having the most losses in elimination rounds).
J.E.K.βs fourth horseman.
Johnny Bananas was the fourth and final piece to the J.E.K. dynasty, the greatest dynasty in Challenge history. Kenny and Evan were the clear leaders, Derrick was third, and Johnny was fourth in the hierarchy scale. Although Bananas was the least powerful of the four and had a troubled social game early in his career, the strength of the dynasty helped him reel in his first three championships.
Johnnyβs social game on his first championship season, the Island, was ugly to watch. He called every girl on the Island a dumb bitch and bullie

C.T. carrying the Johnny Bananas backpack is the greatest highlight ever recorded in Challenge history.
Before the backpack moment, we hadnβt seen C.T. in three years. He was rumored to be forever banned after almost killing Adam King on the Duel II. On Cutthroat, when T.J. announced the heavy hitters twist and C.T. came walking out the dark, challenge fans all around the world were not prepared for what they were about to witness. C.T. was finally let out of his cage and Johnny Bananas became absolute prey.
If there were ever to be a logo for the Challenge, a visual image of the C.T.-Bananas backpack moment would be it. Picture this: Replace the Jerry West silhouette in the red and blue NBA logo with a white silhouette of C.T. mid power-walk and Bananas in the back of him imitating a backpack. Then, replace βNBAβ with βMTVβ. Now, you got your MTV Challenge logo. C.T. being at the front and center of a hypothetical challenge sports logo makes perfect sense considering C.T.βs athletic performances changed the landscape of the Challenge from a regular game show to the series becoming known as Americaβs Fifth Sport.
C.T. is the Peyton Manning of the Challenge.
Peyton Manning is the greatest regular-season quarterback in the history of the NFL. C.T. is the greatest regular-season competitor in the history of the Challenge.
Peyton Manning only has two Superbowls (and won his second one in his final season in the NFL, while being a shell of his former self). C.T. has three championships (and won his final one while being in his worst physical shape ever).
Both, Peyton Manning and C.T.βs regular-season career numbers lead you to believe that they should have had twice as much championships than what they currently have. However, their own blunders (C.T.βs boneheaded mistakes and gassing out right before the finish line on the Exes 2 final = Peytonβs choking) throughout their careers hold them back from reaching extreme success in the post-season.

Fresh Meat.
Evanβs inception to the Challenge was on Fresh Meat, where he became the first draft pick selected by the queen of politics, Coral. Despite being new to the Challenge scene, Evan went on to be the best male performer of the regular season. He outperformed established veterans and elite athletes in Derrick, Darrell, Shane, and Theo Von. Coral was never known for being a great athlete (she was slightly above average in competitions), but her and Evan went on to win five of the first six missions on Fresh Meat. Evanβs competitive performances led Coral to think βIf God had another son, it would be Evanβ.
The 5 missions Coral/Evan won showed how well-rounded and talented of a competitor Evan was. (1) Stuck On Me: Players were connected to their partners, back-to-back, by a harness, on a 25-foot narrow balance beam that was hanging from the rooftop of a building that was 80 stories tall and 1100 feet above the ground. Each team had to walk toward a white line at the end of the beam, then do a full 360Β° turn, and walk back to the beginning of the beam. Stuck On Me is the highest challenge to ever take place in Challenge history. Thereβs never been another mission to test oneβs fear of heights like Stuck on Me, and Evan conquered that fear better than anyone. (2) Bush Whacked: Tested balance. Pairs stood on the top of tree stumps with a hanging medicine ball in the center, that they had use to knock each other off. Evan/Coral were the last team standing. (3) Hang On: Upper Body Strength. Male players hung upside down from leg harnesses, and had to hang onto their female partners by using just their arms. Evan hung onto Coral the longest (49.72 sec.), Theo hung onto Chanda for 49.30 sec., Shane/Linette - 43 sec., Derrick/Diem - 42 sec., and Darrell/Aviv - 34 seconds. (4) Climberβs Paradise: Communication and agility. Each team had to ascend up a 25-foot climbing wall, by using pegs of different shapes and colors. Each player had to carry the pegs up, and communicate with each other in order to determine the peg shapes necessary to ascend the wall. Evan/C

If The Challenge had a Player Efficiency Rating system, Derrickβs Career PER would be at the very top. Heβs one of the most consistent elite challengers ever.
Derrick has participated in 10 challenge seasons. Heβs either made the final challenge or lost right before the final eight out of ten times. The other two times, he was sent home fifth. If you go back and analyze every individual Derrick performance, youβll soon come to realize that heβs never had a bad season under his belt.
Missions Performance-Wise, Derrick was: 2nd best on Fresh Meat (after Evan), 2nd best on Cutthroat (after Abram), 3rd best on Inferno II (after C.T. and Landon), 3rd best on Gauntlet II (after Landon and Alton), 3rd best on Dirty Thirty (after C.T. and Nelson), 4th best on Inferno III (after Abram, Alton, and Johnny), and 5th best on the Duel (after Evan, C.T., Wes, and Brad). The Island had no missions, but Derrick was the clear-cut number one competitor (Ring Wrestle and Ball Buster are cold hard evidence). The missions on the Ruins were too team-oriented to determine a ranking system, but Derrick was at the very least top five and you can make an argument he was in the top three. Thatβs 9 out of 10 seasons where Derrick was a top five male performer.
The only season where Derrick wasnβt a top 5 male competitor was on his rookie season, Battle of the Sexes II. But even on that season, Derrick still left his fans with a career highlight moment in his short stay. And it was in his the first mission heβs ever participated in, Dangle Drop. In this mission,

No. 10 - Alton Williams (Real World: Las Vegas)
No. 9 - Mark Long (Road Rules: USA - The First Adventure)
No. 8 - Darrell Taylor (Road Rules: Campus Crawl)
Darrell is the Bill Russell of the Challenge.
Bill Russell is the most winningest player in NBA history (11 championships), whereas Darrell was the most winningest champion in Challenge history (4) for a whole decade. Currently, Darrell is the second most winningest champion ever after Johnny Bananas (6).
All of Bill Russellβs 11 championships came at a time in which there was only eight to fourteen teams in the entire league. The road to the NBA finals was a lot easier than it is today. Today, there are currently 30 teams in the NBA. Three of Darrellβs four championships were from Inferno and Gauntlet seasons. 60% of the Inferno cast and 56% of the Gauntlet cast made the final challenge. Thatβs a cake walk compared to a playerβs road to the finals today. In the latest two seasons, 25% of the War of the Worlds cast and 37% of the War of the Worlds II cast saw the final.
Bill Russell was never a very good scorer. His career scoring average of 15.1 points per game is insanely low in comparison to other NBA greats. However, heβs considered one of the best defenders in NBA history. Darrellβs mission performances throughout his career is by far the least impressive of any challenge all-time great in the top ten. However, heβs one of the best at defending his position in the game by being one of the greatest elimination players in Challenge History.
I used to have Darrell in my top 5 players because of his four wins, but Iβve recently shifted grounds and realized heβs more fitting in the 6-10 area. Why? Darrell has only one win outside the Gauntlet and Inferno cake walks; Mostly all of his challenge legend companions that I have above him in these lists each have two wins in mo

No. 7 - Derrick Kosinski (Road Rules: X-Treme)
No. 6 - Kenny Santucci (Fresh Meat)
Kenny, the 3-time challenge champion, has been to 7 final challenges in his eight season career.
Kennyβs 87.5% success rate of seeing the final challenge with that many seasons in his career is a thing of beauty. To give you some context as to how beautiful this statistic is, take a look at how successful every other Challenge Titan weβve ever known has reached the final in their careers: Wes has reached the finals 5 out of 13 times (35%), Brad - 4/10 (40%), Johnny - 8/19 (42%), Abram - 4/9 (44%), C.T. - 8/17 (47%), Derrick - 5/10 (50%), Darrell - 4/8 (50%), Mark - 3/5 (60%), Jordan - 4/6 (66%), Alton - 3/4 (75%), Landon - 3/4 (75%), Theo Von - 3/4 (75%), and Mike Mizanin - 4/5 (80%). Kenny leads all of them with the highest percentage.
Another precious feature of this statistic is that Kenny has managed to reach three more finals than Wes with five less attempts, and was one final short of tying C.T. and Bananas current finals record (and C.T. has had nine more seasons under his belt, and Johnny has had 11 more).
Competitions.
Competitively speaking, Kenny is at the very bottom when it comes to the Hall of Fame names mentioned above. He was always too inconsistent in Challenge missions and was mediocre in a lot of areas (such as agility, climbing, and balance) to ever be considered an elite competitor. If you were to rank the entire menβs division of 160 something males to ever lace them up in the aspect of strict competition, Kenny would barely scrape in by in a tournament of the 64 best. Heβd be an ideal 12th seed. In NCAA March Madness tradition, the 12 seed always upsets the 5 seed at least once, every year. Kenny is that type of 12 seed (because although he doesnβt rank up there with the competitive elites, there are a lot of upsides to his performance on the field that make him capable of a big win
