Hey guys!
Sorry for any delay on this, was vacationing the past week so I was off the grid when all these cards came out. A brief overview, we have a few great cards, a few good ones, a new budget beast TE that will release today, and a FB that you'll never take out of your lineup.

I know Tony G is the goat, Iβm thinking more along the lines of strictly how they played on the falcons. When I really started watching the NFL Tony G was our tight end, so I donβt really know a lot about our TEs before him, I know after we havenβt had the greatest tight ends since (hooper was good, also fuck Jacob tamme, he was an asshole) So how great would Pitts have to be to surpass Tonyβs time on the falcons?
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Kosovo: the untold story
When Slobodan Milosevic's troops began slaughtering ethnic Albanians in Kosovo, the West feared a repeat of Hitler's Holocaust. Nato bombed his forces. Then, on 12 June, the Serb dictator unexpectedly admitted defeat.
Here, for the first time, The Observer can reveal secret details of Operation Bravo Minus - the daring allied plan to drive Milosevic from power - and how a spy leaked details to Belgrade

Deep below the Ministry of Defence building in Whitehall, past two red, steel-reinforced doors, two computerised glass checkpoints and surveillance cameras lies the Crisis Management Centre: 'The Bunker.' Reconstructed on the orders of Lady Thatcher in 1979, it is an air-pressurised network of low-ceilinged corridors leading to a large and dimly lit room. At its centre is a broad ash table capable of seating 18.
The Bunker is serviced by one of the most sophisticated communications centres in the western world, including a video conference screen capable of simultaneously linking the crisis centre to Nato Headquarters, Permanent Joint Headquarters at High Northwood, RAF Strike Command at High Wycombe and Army Command at Wilton. Originally built to control operations in the event of a Russian nuclear attack, the Bunker became from 23 March the headquarters for an entirely new kind of war - a 'humanitarian war' designed to protect refugees. And each morning at 8.30, Britain's most senior Cabinet Ministers, defence staff, intelligence officers and diplomats would gather to discuss its prosecution, the cohesion of the Nato alliance, the fate of the refugees and the bombing schedule.
It was around this table in April that they discussed, with increasing fervour, a plan first drawn up in June 1998 by officers from Nato's planning cell who had been sent to the Yugoslav borders to look at the routes into Serbia's southern province, Kosovo
... keep reading on reddit β‘I know many people are frustrated with mock drafts, so I sat through 20 of them and recorded all 150 picks each time.
Disclaimer: All 20 mock drafts were done through Yahoo Fantasy (1/2 PPR) and had 10 teams.
Second Disclaimer: There will also be a lot of numbers and charts floating around.
There were 122 players that were drafted in all 20 mock drafts, 9 D/ST, 6 Kickers, 15 Quarterbacks, 39 Running backs, 15 Tight Ends, and 38 Wide Receivers. A cycle of 72 other players filled up the remaining 27 slots.
A common theme throughout all of the drafts was that once an "uncommon position" (QB, TE, D/ST, K) was drafted, a run of that position quickly followed.
I will frequently be using a candlestick chart. I think of it almost like a box-and-whisker plot but vertical. Example using Trevor Lawrence:
https://imgur.com/gallery/yO36lll
The very bottom of the line is the earliest Lawrence was drafted (94). The very top of the line is the latest he got drafted (145). The box then comprises the 1st through 3rd quartiles (120.5 and 130.25, respectively). The only thing this is missing is the average, in this case 124.4. The average is the 2nd quartile, so it will always be between the 1st and 3rd quartiles. Basically all you need to know is that within the box, it is perfectly acceptable to draft Trevor Lawrence. Anything earlier could be considered a reach, and anything later could be considered a steal. At least that is how I view it. Feel free to come to your own conclusions.
With all that being said, I will break down each individual position in alphabetical order.
Defense and Special Teams:
Nine D/ST were drafted every time. They were...
D/ST | 1st Quartile | Average pick | 3rd Quartile |
---|---|---|---|
Los Angeles Rams | 71 | 72.8 | 74.25 |
Washington Football Team | 72 | 76.6 | 78.25 |
Pittsburgh Steelers | 75 | 83.1 | 85 |
San Francisco 49ers | 77 | 88.2 | 93.25 |
Baltimore Ravens | 79.75 | 95 | 102 |
Tampa Bay Buccaneers | 85.5 | 96 | 105.5 |
Kansas City Chiefs | 114.75 | 122.15 | 133.5 |
Cleveland Browns | 119.75 | 127.1 | 134.25 |
Denver Broncos | 129.5 | 132.6 | 142.25 |
The Rams D/ST was drafted first 17 out of 20 times. The Buccaneers, Steelers, and Ravens were each picked first once. Candlestick chart:

I don't know if there is any useful information to glean from this chart, I just like looking at it. Basically, just don't be the guy in Draft 17 t

... keep reading on reddit β‘I get it. Basketball only has 5 players on the court, so yes there is gonna be more influence from 1 dude, but it's not as if 1 guy willed his team to success. No other sport (expect gridiron with the whole quarterback thing) overstates the importance of team success on individual brilliance as basketball (I have no evidence to back this up, just read on and trust me bro).
Coming from rugby, where it's a 15 man game, obviously there is less emphasis on how many titles a guy has won as a measure of success. Michael Hooper was the favourite for World Player of the Year this year even whilst the Australian rugby team struggled. Sergio Parisse is considered a legend despite playing for a team that lost against tier 1 sides 90% of the time (Italy). Etc..
That just doesn't seem to happen in basketball. Someone's team misses the playoffs and suddenly there's a lot of people saying that they aren't very good. You can be the best player in the world and not make the playoffs if the players around you aren't very good, even in the NBA (although I admit it is hard to find a team with a supporting cast that comparatively poor).
No team has ever won a championship (since the salary cap was introduced in 1984) with only 1 previous All Star on their roster. 10 teams have won with only 1 current All Star, and sometimes that All Star has been someone who whilst a Hall of Famer is unlikely to go down as one of the greatest 25 or so players to ever play the game (Ben Wallace, Tony Parker, arguably Isiah Thomas).
The best teams don't just give the ball to the best player and let him run to the hoop and score. They pass, they have a supporting cast in case the player gets double teamed etc.. This idea that a title solely belongs to the 1 star player is ridiculous. Yes they wouldn't have won without them but that's a silly comparison to go into, it is the case in all sports that teams may only have won because of the impact of 1 player (less so usually). Why measure individual brilliance by a team metric? If that's your quantifier for quality what's the point in watching a team sport? It's just the best player wins.
When I watch basketball, the best teams are cohesive, passing the ball between themselves and playing as a unit rather than a bunch of disconnected guys, both in offence and defence.
Prime Michael Jordan couldn't take the Bulls to a championship til he got a great supporting cast and the team built up adequate on-court chemistry.
Sometimes the makeup of

How to Use
Each week I collect suggested FAAB waiver wire bids from fantasy football experts and publish them to www.faabtastic.com. The Expert Count column is how many experts mentioned that player. All bids are a percentage of your starting budget (e.g. 1% of $100 is $1). I then average the bids for each player. The trimmed mean is the average, but without the highest and lowest values.
Tips & Tricks
At the bottom of each table, I linked all the articles in the footer row so you can get all the details about why bids are what they are.
You can click any column header to sort it low-to-high (ascending). Click the same header again to sort it high-to-low (descending).
Keep in mind that these are just suggested bids. It's what the experts are suggesting to spend up to, but also maintain enough money for the rest of the season. If you really, really want a player then by all means break the bank if you need to.

Looking into dynasty leagues and the implications of free agency in the off-season. With trade deadlines fast-approaching, you can get your flyer on players who may be in better situations next season.

If you love and adore football/soccer as I do, you may have pondered what QUALIFICATIONS one needs to be a Premier League referee. Having done some research I learnt that the ultimate/highest level of PL referering one can reach is the so called "SELECT GROUP", ran by the Professional Game Match Officals Limited (PGMOL) .
Side note- after announcing retirement from PL referring, the famous HOWARD WEBB took over the PGMOL.
Below is the roster of SELECT GROUP refs for this 21-22 season (as sourced from wiki, and believe me the page is worth a gander as it may lead you through a series of rabbit holes and 'wait... wtf?', as it did me)
My questions are-
What qualifications does a referee need to meet in order to be a PL ref? let alone a so-called "select group" ref?
Do you generally agree/disagree with the way referees call games?
Has VAR vared the referees in the ways it should/should've thus far?
Possible opinion- Are we just suckers for being so involved and passionate over a game that can so easily be dictated by the refs and "select group" refs without any reason or explanation for their decisions and the fact that it may go against all football rules, regulations, standards, and foundations that we learnt as children on the pitch?

Hello Reddit,
Soooooo.... I have a pretty popular local Dynasty League, in that some of the friends from the home league hear about the Dynasty League and want to join. In all fairness the initial friends were all invited to convert our redraft to dynasty one year, but a few of them were scared to join, LOL. Anyways, we just finished our 3rd successful season and the same guys keep trying to get in, hoping someone has dropped or we expand.
The league finally agreed to expand our league from 12 teams to potentially 16. So I'm trying to write a fair expansion plan.
I want the expansion teams to be some what competitive, the lower teams to not be as stolen from, and the top teams to lose a little of their mid-talent.
Scoring: 0.5 ppr
Current Setup:
2 conferences, 4 divisions, 3 teams per division
28 man rosters
4 rookie draft rounds
Prosed Setup:
2 conferences, 4 divisions, 4 teams per division
(probably scaling down for Year 1 of expansion) I'm thinking 20ish players?
4 rookie draft rounds (maybe down to 3)
1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX (R/W/T), 1 K
So I'm drawing from the way the NHL and NFL have held expansions:
In 2017 the NHL
How I see that playing out for Fantasy Football
How this plays out, my 11th place team would have to protect at least:
Bold had to protect due to rookie/2nd year protection
1 QB: Trevor Lawrence
3 RB: **D'Andre

First off I want to thank the 1400+ unique users who helped cast 36,000+ votes on the voting poll for this weeks rankings, without their contributions this post would not be possible. The Ranks are below along with the comparison vs the Experts' Consensus Ranks. Be sure to come back next Tuesday & Wednesday to participate toward the consensus on the weekly voting poll.
The Numbers Next to the players names are a score from the poll, here is a quick explanation on how to interpret those numbers. The score of a player is the estimated chance that they will outscore against a randomly chosen player. For example, a score of 100 means the player is predicted to outscore every time and a score of 0 means the player is predicted to score less every time.

Hey guys, so lots have been said about the playoff program and while I did have my comments as well, I think I'll just leave it as EA couldn't have tried harder to mess this up if they simply didn't release a program in the first place. At least then we wouldn't be left with the travesty of what we got instead.
Now I will say the ToTY nominees are just batshit and clearly EA is picking names out of a hat that like Stephen A. Smith gave them because "he's a smart guy." Honestly the guys were solely based off name recognition. I mean how else can they justify Armstead at LT (8 games all year) Boles (who was the definition of average and ranked lower than Jonah Williams according to PFF) Norwell who was a turnstile or Bulaga who didn't even fucking play this year? It's insane who they chose and an insult to actual good linemen.
ToTY should have gone this way:
