A list of puns related to "Tod Leiweke"
In the unlikely event anyone here didn't get it:
> Dear Redacted,
> As we face this challenging situation, our greatest priority is keeping safe and supporting each other. Recognizing these unprecedented times, I want to share some of our plans.
> We are deferring payments due in April, May and June for those who purchased premium seating. We will wait to begin general seat selection and we look for the right time to reveal our team name and brand. We recognize the excitement around this, and we appreciate your patience.
> As many of you know, plans are underway to start a high-impact charitable foundation dedicated to marginalized youth and fostering equity and inclusion. Today we are exploring multiple near-term ways to support our community, specifically our neighbors and nonprofit partners most impacted. An immediate step this week is a donation of $100,000 to Youth Care to aid its critical needs addressing youth homelessness. Community is bedrock to what Oak View Group and NHL Seattle do.
> Meanwhile, we never lose sight of the promises we have made to you, our fans. Our leadership team is focused on planning for the next 18 months and our General Manager Ron Francis and his staff remain diligent in the efforts to build a great team. During this time of uncertainty, our social and digital channels will update you with informative and engaging content; we want to keep hearing from you.
> We are committed to looking to the horizon. Together we will not only weather this storm, we will emerge closer and stronger as a community.
> Please stay safe and take care of each other.
> Tod
Context:
>The obvious connection is with Tim Leiweke, who recruited Ujiri to the Raptors in 2013 when he ran MLSE. Leiweke is now co-founder of the Oakview Group, who helped land the NHLβs Seattle Kraken expansion franchise and redevelop Key Arena, and whose brother, Tod, is one of the Krakenβs owners.
>Itβs widely believed the NBA will expand for the first time since rounding out to 30 teams in 2004 partly to recoup losses from the pandemic. Returning to Seattle as part of the process is almost a given (with Las Vegas as the other likely city) now that the arena issues that led to the Supersonics leaving for Oklahoma City in 2008 have been resolved.
>βIf there is expansion, heβs definitely going to get his opportunities,β said one league insider.
>But there is no timetable for that, and typically there is a minimum two-year lag between franchises being awarded and play beginning. And given the league hasnβt formally announced any plan to expand, it makes little sense for Ujiri to remain on the sidelines passing up an opportunity to be the highest-paid executive in the sport while waiting for a day that could be years in the future.

Something to consider about Las Vegas versus Seattle is that Vegas wanted to make a splash and be competitive ASAP because the NFL/Raiders were coming in behind them and they needed to recruit/capture a fanbase. If they hadn't been good (great, actually), they might not be anywhere as close to as big a deal in the city now as they are.
In Seattle, there are already professional sports franchises and there is a pretty good history of hockey (a team from there even won the Stanley Cup, though that's a minor point, not a central one). Also, they have a season ticket line up thousands deep.
The guys who are behind the Kraken know what's up. Tod Leiweke has been involved in huge enterprises and Ron Francis has a history of building slowly and deep.
People are jumping on Francis for not making moves that would make the Kraken instant contenders, but there are many ways to build and the salary cap looks like it will be flat for awhile.
He can also get assets/picks by being third party to trades at the deadline (where contracts are usually expiring), without having to take on a player who might be an albatross.
Nothing has illustrated the value of cap space better than the Fleury deal today. Francis will use it and you can expect the Kraken to build sensibly.
I guess the concept didn't work
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB
Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual
So check out r/jokes for all types of jokes
r/unclejokes for dirty jokes

Edit: this is not a post about NSFW , This is about jokes, knock knock jokes, blonde jokes, political jokes etc being posted in a dad joke sub

How the hell am I suppose to know when itβs raining in Sweden?
Mathematical puns makes me number
Ants donβt even have the concept fathers, let alone a good dad joke. Keep r/ants out of my r/dadjokes.
But no, seriously. I understand rule 7 is great to have intelligent discussion, but sometimes it feels like 1 in 10 posts here is someone getting upset about the jokes on this sub. Let the mods deal with it, they regulate the sub.
They were cooked in Greece.
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
He lost May
Now that I listen to albums, I hardly ever leave the house.
Two muffins are in an oven, one muffin looks at the other and says "is it just me, or is it hot in here?"
Then the other muffin says "AHH, TALKING MUFFIN!!!"
Don't you know a good pun is its own reword?
