A list of puns related to "Time Leap"
I realise now that I was merely Polaroid.
I felt it was a lovely ending to one of the hardest going series I have ever had the pleasure of watching. Every episode was directed in a very specific way, to the tee. And they never gave in or compromised in the artistic quality as it went on. Yes, some episodes were tedious but by god it was worth it. >!and how everything did not come down to David destroying the world, but the time traveler reaching her full potential and saving everything was way out on the left field!<. Bravo.
Just as title says I decided last year to get into Dark souls for the first time. I've never touched a FromSoft game before but I'm big into Monster Hunter. A lot of the Monster Hunter community compared combat styles to these games so I decided to give DS1 Remastered a shot on PC. All I knew prior was that these were hard games with environmental story telling. I had two really good friends of mine who were big into Dark Souls as well, so I shared all my reactions and thoughts with them throughout my trilogy journey.
Needless to say I adored these games and found them a huge breath of fresh air in the current gaming space. I loved how immersive each title was and how it didn't get bogged down by map markers, quest logs, and all the other "gamey" aspects that would appeal to a general audience. The atmosphere was stunning and the map design, especially in the first title, was mad cool. The more I went through these games, the more I felt like I was picking up on what the devs were trying to tell me with item placement, lore drops, and enemy animations. It felt really rewarding in that way. Here are some specific thoughts about each game.
Dark Souls 1: Remastered As you can imagine there was a big learning curve for me since this was the first one I played. Without knowing much about stats, I decided to do a dex build to work around fast-paced attacks as well with a little bit of pyro. This turned out to be hard into I found a trusty Katana in BlightTown that I just upgraded and used for the majority of the game. I think this one had my favorite map design, I loved how interconnected it was and how you didn't unlock fast travel into around halfway through the game. The lore was intriguing, I often revisited the opening cinematic as I learned more in game to piece together the story. In terms of bosses, Ornstein and Smough were my biggest block and I took a large break (mostly cause of Uni) before coming back to beat them and finish the rest of the game. The DLC was phenomenal, a trend the whole trilogy illustrated. At first once I reached the ending I was really confused and was like "oh that's it!?" but as I reflected I thought more highly of that ending sequence. Was a huge blast to go through and will always be memorable due to it being my first FromSoft game.
Dark Souls 2 SoTFS Even before starting DS2 I've heard of it's reputation as not quiet hitting the same standard as the other 1 and 3. This time around I decided to do a magic build
... keep reading on reddit β‘For example I want to buy or sell a LEAP. I don't care at what underlying price(I care but it is not mandatory to have control over it) and I agree to wait. But I want to pay not more than let's say $100 in time premium. Is there a way to place such an order and then wait several days until it executes while price of the underlying is changing? I know about pegged and relative orders, but they can be not reliable for very wide bid-ask spreads, and someone may exploit them by placing too high bid price to make my order execute at an unfavorable price.
Specifically interested in this for 3-year SPY LEAPs, but might be useful for other illiquid tickers (eg in situation when bid $10 time value, ask $90 time value, last price $20 time value, fair price $25 time value, and I am willing to buy at $26 time value or less, pegged to the underlying. Middle is far from the underlying and bid-ask do not represent fair price.)
Why I don't care about underlying? Since I can buy shares at whatever price I want, and then attach selling shares simultaneously with buying a LEAP, effectively exchanging shares with LEAPs. Maybe even several mutually exclusive orders at close strikes to increase chances of a fill at a better price.
Was reflecting on this after last night and reading some reviews. But, truly, I'm not too sure how the show develops at this point -- and not because the writers have left me guessing but because they/Taylor Sheridan -- seem to be unable to cleave themselves from the dynamics established in S1/S2. The characters are completely flat and, I can't even believe I'm saying this, literally the only one with any arc was Jimmy, but the Duttons + Rip = nada, though at least we got some Kayce backstory.
The John/Beth/Jamie dynamic remains something that could have been great but is now back to where it was in Season 2. I don't really know how much longer viewers want to see "The Beth Show" (multiple people calling it that in professional reviews) and the continual beating down of Jamie. (And I am basing this comment off of not just pro reviews and this sub, but all the responses on Twitter complaining about Beth and even some diehard Beth supporters in my own life who are like, "??? This is over the top!") It's just totally repetitive. It's hard to see how they write Beth or Jamie any differently now -- those two seem permanently cornered as psycho bitch and total coward. They had way more nuance in Season 1 and now are just totally stagnant and, frankly, unbelievable as people.
Even the storylines are stagnant. Initially there was great stuff on development in the American West that really resonated and it was a great take, with the clashing old and new worlds, the legal and political machinations, etc, but that just totally has gone by the wayside and every season we just get some new villain wanting to take the land but then those stories aren't followed up on.
Only thing I can see happening is that there will be some time leap of a few years that might reset the show/family dynamics. In part it seems they'd need to do this because the actors who play Tate and Carter have completely changed and gone through puberty. Anyhow, overall, blech. Sheridan has said he knows how the show is ending but boy it seems like it's just treading water right now and has done dirty what could have been some very fine character development.
Plenty of series have time between each book, it's a great way to "skip the boring parts" and/or training/building up of less essential events/characters.
But what of skipping X-years within the story; once, maybe even twice??
I'm concerned that skipping once or twice may be jarring, but I don't know how else to quickly build up a resistance [the slow going "boring part"] without skipping some years or months in between.
Thanks in advance!
So over the years I have always been married or too scared to ever take a trip. So after getting divorced and not wanting to be a people pleaser anymore I did some research and in October of this year I did it I took a trip to Phuket, Thailand. And I have to say it has opened my eyes to the world in a whole different perspective.
There werent too many people there as everything was just starting to open back up but I got to see the beaches, restaurants and bars on a "newbie" level that was just amazing.
I met up with a couple of guys from the UK that live in Thalaind and they kind of showed me around warned me of the scams that occur and took me out every night. I had a blast I cannot wait to take another solo trip.
My next trip will probably be to Bangkok, Croatia, Turkey, the Phillipines, Maldives, Bahamas, Dubai or maybe even the Ukraine if they open back up.
As for Phuket I have to say it was so beautiful, the sites the scenery the people were so nice I got to ride a scooter, I visited the Huge Buddhist Temple, The big Buddha, Toured around Ra Wai, went hiking on the cliffside. Really the only things I didnt get to do was train in Muay Thai because the school I wanted to go was closed; and scuba diving because the schools didnt open back up until yesterday.
I want to say that I would have stayed longer than two weeks but I had some personal issues and had to return home. But I will recommend to anyone that has the opportunity to live their life on their own terms to travel and see the world for what it is an amazing place with people and experiences to be had.
Do it for yourself and no one else!!!!!!

So my girlfriend and I had a debate about how old I really am, she says Iβm not 24 until the time of my actual birth, I argued that I have already been 24 for a little while due to time change, leap years and so on. I canβt realistically do the math required so Iβm hoping a kind random stranger will help me. Info to help: I was born November 25, 1997 around 5:00 am eastern/standard, small town oh Iβm
The memory gap Takemichi experiences when he returns to the present timeline and from the present timeline doesn't make sense for me. Why does he have no memory of the time in between his time-leaps?
Logically, when he returns to the present, he should have retained memories of the time from the past to the present since he would have already experienced it. Hence, I dont really understand why whenever he comes to in the present, he has some sort of amnesia and no idea what's going on. The same is true for when he time leaps to the past. It's something he had already experienced and therefore, should already be in his memory? But most of the time when he time-leaps, he's got no idea where he is or how he got there or what he's doing there.
Should I try and time out a dip or is now a good time to buy in especially with this long of an expiration. Could it dip any further short term?
Assuming the underlying doesn't move much, when does the LEAP contract start to noticeably decay and lose value (eg. assuming IV stays the same and excluding the impact of delta, when does theta really start to become noticeable?).
I know itβs long but please hear me out. Ok, so I may be wrong but hereβs why I think future Mikey time leaped with Takemichi after the bonten arc and when they both were hanging out the building. So we can see in that arc at that point of time Mikey was taken over by his dark impulses right, although he cried out for takemichi to save him and activated the time leap he was still in a state of darkness. When takemichi returns to the past we see Mikey and that he is aware of takemichi retuning and says βso you arrivedβ instead of return. Hereβs where word play comes into action. Sure it couldβve been a issue with translating but here me out. As Mikey said that and the way he was standing with his hand and everything it was if he felt the time leap and possibly time leaped too. when Mikey shows up to the 3 deities fight heβs already numb or taken over by his dark impulses hence why he says βken-chin Iβm empty insideβ and is unable to feel sad / grieve drakens death. Sure there could be a number of reasons why heβs already empty or things that could have taken place within that 2 year time gap But even tho 2 years has passed what caused Mikey to give in to his dark impulses in such a short time?
When we consider the previous arcs and how Mikey became βevilβ we see he usually was taken over by darkness when he had his first kill. for instance Valhalla arc when takemichi visited draken in jail draken said Mikey lost it after he killed kazutora. Fast forward to when takemichi flies out to the phillapines and meets future Mikey for the first time, takemichi asked Mikey where did everything go wrong and Mikey responds with everything went wrong when takemichi left toman and when he had his first kill he felt numb and felt like he could solve all his problems by killing. So now the current arc where Mikeyβs seemingly first kill was South right and as seen before his first kill is whatβs suppose to push Mikey over the edge and be taken over by his dark impulses. However, Mikey was already surrounded by darkness before he had his first kill south and we can see south death was a major event because takemichi got the vision of it happening before it did. Furthermore, this whole fight was really to showcase how far gone Mikey is. When Mikey dipped into his dark impulses in the past like when he was about to kill kazutora takemichi was able to get to him and snap him out of it. But this time takemichi wasnβt able too like usually. I think this illustrates how deep in

OR I already have a Jul15 250c that I could average down on. Are interest rates going to continue to slow MSFT down or will it be the same old uptrend on the chart?
Hi r/thetagang! I was thinking of buying LEAP call options (or debit spreads) on some top tech stocks that I'm generally bullish on (MSFT, FB, NVDA, AMD, FB, SNAP etc.) but wasn't sure if the macroeconomic factors at this point would support this investment. More specifically:
Fed taper: News reports suggest that the Fed taper will begin sometime before the end of 2021 and conclude sometime in the middle of 2022. Some articles do however suggest that the impact of this on the market won't be too high and that the "tantrum" from 2013 was more fear than actual impact on the market.
Fed interest rate hikes: News report suggest that with inflation and/or stagflation, interest rates would have to be hiked either in 2022 or early 2023
"In the βdot plotβ of individual membersβ expectations for interest rates, the committee indicated it could begin raising interest rates as soon as 2022. Markets currently are pricing in the first rate hike for next September, according to the CME FedWatch tool. Following the release of the minutes, traders increased the likelihood of a September hike to 65% from 62%."
What would the impact of these factors be on tech stocks like the ones I mentioned above? Is it still a prudent decision for me to buy LEAPs on these stocks that expire in say Jan 2023 / June 2023?
I'm asking this as a genuine curiosity to see if I'm going to be in the majority or the minority with this. I absolutely love almost everything about the new halo, but the progression system, if not fixed, is GOING to make me quit playing this game months and months earlier than I want it to. For instance, right now the challenges I have active involve the pulse carbine, the M247 HMG, and capturing points on stronghold. I DON'T want to use the carbine, I DON'T want to sit on a turret, and in 5 or 6 quickplay games I haven't been lucky enough to rotate into a stronghold's game in order to GET the capture, so not only am I getting railroaded into trying to play in a way that I'm not into playing but now all I'm relegated to is 100xp after every few matches? Seriously? It takes all incentive out of the game to even try to win since there isn't even any type of bonus for winning in the first place.
Am I alone in this, or are there other people who will inevitably cut their time with the game WAY short because of this whole system?
This is a repost from the AskAManager blog. I am not the OP. I am just pasting in someone else's story in keeping with the curation goals of this subreddit. Please note I didn't include the responses from Alison Green in this post, but they're worth reading, if you follow the links. The comments on both the original letter and the update post are also very entertaining.

Original post: "Telling an employee born on Leap Day she canβt have her birthday off"
One of the perks provided by my workplace is a paid day off on your birthday (or the day after if it falls on a weekend or holiday) provided by the firm and not taken from your own vacation days, and a gift card which works at several restaurants our city. Once a month, a cake is also provided at lunch for everyone as an acknowledgement of everyone who has a birthday that month.
There is an employee on my team who was born in a leap year on February 29. Since she only has a birthday every four years, she does not get a day off or a gift card and is not one of the people the cake acknowledges. She has complained about this and is trying to push back so she is included.
The firm doesnβt single out or publicly name anyone that has a birthday. People take the day off and that is it, nothing is said. The gift card is quietly enclosed with their pay stub. The cake is put in the lunchroom without fanfare for anyone that wants some. There is no email or card that goes around and no celebrating at work. If there was I could see her point, but since everything is done quietly/privately, she is not losing out on anything. My manager feels her complaints are petty and she needs to be more professional. I agree with him.
She has only worked here for two years and was hired straight out of university. I want to tell her that she should be focusing on work issues and not something as small as a birthday. If she had a complaint about a work issue it would be different. How do I frame my discussion with her without making her feel bad or like she is trouble? Her work is good and I am sure the complaint is just borne of inexperience and I donβt want to penalize her for it.
