Scientists have collaborated and proposed a novel two-dimensional design that can be constructed using existing integrated circuit technology. This design solves typical problems facing the current three-dimensional packaging for scaled-up quantum computers, bringing the future one step closer. tus.ac.jp/en/mediarelatio…

/TG/ How to do integrated circuits?

I have noticed recently in science bay that there are new tools, basically circuits. I checked the wiki but it is really limited. I checked the guide from BlueScope (Bee forum) and got more info yet it's from Bee.

Are circuits currently working on TG and how useful is it? I'd like to give it a try but in my opinion it's really useful only if it brings new devices, not if it's just about making what already exists (flashlight, health sensor).

Is it possible to intagrate a circuit in a computer and manipulate it from afar? I think about calling shuttle while not being physically in Bridge for example. Or making a new kind of bot. Can someone bring me some light on the subject?

A bitcoin is large, thick, and gold, with integrated circuit patterns. Right??

Seriously, why does every damn article about crypto have a graphic like this??

We know how ignorant people are, and supposedly want widespread adoption of cryptocurrencies, so why be fundamentally deceptive? I guarantee you some people think there are physical bitcoins at this point, with a big β€˜B’ stamped on them, all shiny af like they just came from the Franklin Mint.

If we want to communicate that crypto can be an entirely novel way to pay for goods and services, and also that crypto isn’t always money, why cling to a metaphor of actual coins? I guess for that matter, why call them coins at all?

The β€œart” for crypto media is terrible.

[Request] If space travel development had followed the same trend as integrated circuit development and doubling every two years (ala Moore's Law), how far out into space would we have traveled?

This is just something that popped into my head. For the purposes of this exercise, start with 1960. Then per Moore's Law, assuming the number of transistors doubles every two years, equate that to double the amount of distance humans have physically traveled out into space.

A starting place could be Yuri Gagarin traveling to Earth orbit in 1961, with a high point being 327km.

I am just curious to know if we even would have come close to surpassing Voyager 1 or 2's current distance from Earth.

Can anyone tell me in layman's terms the difference between the silicone dioxide(mono crystalline quartz) used in frequency control and the type of silicon used in a diode or Integrated circuit.

Can anyone tell me in layman's terms the difference between the silicone dioxide(mono crystalline quartz) used in frequency control and the type silicon used in a diode.

This is in reference to an ancient aliens episode on the History Channel where the claim is made that the crystal skulls made of mono crystalline quartz are the equivalent of millions of silicon computer chips. I know that a crystal used in frequency control is very different from silicon used in microchips, I just don't 100% understand why. The video is below and the relevant part starts at 1:30. Thanks
