I noticed that Thorne, a well respected and high quality supplement brand, sold a Reduced Glutathione product. This struck me as odd because Thorne is simply not a company that would sell an ineffective form of a supplement.

But I had read numerous reports that oral Glutathione is poorly absorbed and that NAC, a precursor to Glutathione, is a better option to raise Glutathione levels.

But Thorne has said very clearly on the supplement page, that Glutathione having poor absorbability when taken orally is a misconception, and that it actually is absorbed.

Thoughts?

Anyone ever work with these? I have to figure out if it will work with a Napco Starlink. I’ve never come across this panel manufacture before. It’s a Thorn Firequest. Are they still listed?

We’re back, baby! TWAB is alive and well and we’re excited for what’s next with the upcoming launch of The Witch Queen. Just one more month to go before we learn more about Savathûn’s influence and what that means for Guardians and our beloved Osiris, in addition to some nifty additions to gameplay such as crafting and pokey-pokey Glaive goodness. I'll start this post off by welcoming you all, if you are a newer player and you've found your way to this thread, I hope you find everything you need here to get started! If you are an older player/veteran to the game, and want to contribute or feel any information in this post is out of date please let me know and I'll do my best to get it back up to date.

The first step is diving into the most frequent topic when it comes to Legends of Runeterra and new players, the economy. Legends of Runeterra is a very free to play game, with multiple ways to obtain and use resources to craft cards. While it is very generous, it can feel a tad overwhelming at first. So, we'll take a moment to break down how it all works.

Cards are crafted or purchased using various currencies in game.
Shards - Shards are the most common currency you will come accross, they are represented by a green gem icon. These can be used to craft any card in the game for varying costs.
Wildcards - Wildcards are sorted by rarity and can craft any card of the same rarity. For example, a common wild card will create any common card of your choice. Each rarity is represented by a color, which will be shown in the table below.
Coins - This is the paid currency in Legends of Runeterra, they can be used to purchase cards or cosmetics.

Duplicate Shards - This is how many shards you will receive upon gaining a copy of a card that you already own 3 copies of. Champion and Epic rarity cards have protection, which means upon receiving a 4th copy it will be converted to another random champion or epic card. Once you own every champion/epic card in the game you will start receiving duplicate shards.

So how do we obtain these resources?
The main source will be Capsules and Chests obtained through playing the game. Each chest or capsule in the game has a chance to upgrade to a higher tier upon redemption, if it upgrades it will roll again to see if it upgrades further. This method is repeated for each item in your c

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Back when Bam first got the thorn, Karaka wanted to melt him down with the workshop’s boiling acid and turn him into an ignition weapon with the power of an irregular. Ignition weapons can be crazy powerful, but so far it’s implied that they were all created using the souls of regulars. How strong would an ignition weapon based on an irregular be? Could some of the top rankers use it to get closer to family head level? I wonder if we’ll see this concept again if Bam ends up killing any of the family heads with the thorn, and then their power is on the table to be forged into weapons for his allies. Remember, from the beginning of the webtoon Khun said his goal is to take his father’s place as the family head… This would also be a cool twist if Gustang wanted to help Bam get the thorn so he could forge these types of weapons.

My players are driving me crazy! The other day I ran an encounter with an Invisible Stalker and the party just powered through chipping away at 104 hit points rolling each time with disadvantage.

I have two players that try, but they can't, and shouldn't have to, carry the party. One used their familiar to pour water on it, which I ruled as a "help action". But then they wanted to do the same thing every round. The other player was begging the spellcaster to use Faerie Fire but they just wanted to keep blasting at it with disadvantage. Because haha Thorn Whip go brrrr.

I had the monster hit a different target each turn so they had an opportunity to heal, and move around a lot so the one player who could see it could get some attacks of opportunity in. The thing is that an invisible stalker would have systemically slaughtered them one by one, striking at them while downed to ensure they were dead for good, before moving on to the next one.

Each and every encounter is pretty much the same. 60% of the party exclusively moves towards the enemy and attacks on their turns. Once they're in reach they are afraid of attacks of opportunity so it goes from move/hit/move/hit to move/hit/hit/hit.

What can I do to incentivize them to actually think of what they're doing? I'd hand out inspiration as a reward but they simply never earn it.

I run my encounters on deadly difficulty, and I don't fudge dice, but I end up dumbing down my enemies because I don't want to TPK them. The thing is that this is not engaging for me. Help?

Like Diablo II Classic, Diablo II: Resurrected will feature four different Ladder modes, including:

What is their next move? The assault on human space was an utter failure. Now I’m stuck in this stupid chamber with no way of knowing what the humans will do next. The cup of water sits in front of me, but I can’t give in. It's probably poisoned. The vase that sits nearby is full of what I assume is flora from Earth, I’ve tried to knock it over, but the restraints don’t let me reach any more than 2 metres away. The doors open and one of them steps in.

“Good evening. You know, you should drink that before you die of dehydration.”

“It’s poisoned, you can’t pretend that you aren’t trying to kill me.”

“You think we poisoned it... you know you are a prisoner of war, right?”

“You think I’m at your mercy, but I won’t go down without a fight!”

I try my best to spit at them, but I can’t get enough moisture into my mouth.

“We could literally just give you a lethal injection if we really wanted to. Why the fuck would we give you poisoned water?”

They put the ‘Dandelion’ back in the vase, and pull out another.

“There are species that see us as delicate beings that must be protected. They take us under their wings and provide us with safety and care, they think us fragile. They assume we will crumble at the first sight of trouble, and that we would have no chance to bloom if left to fend for ourselves in the dangerous garden of the cosmos.”

The plant they hold seems to have folded in their hand.

Sleep has been terrible for years. No issue falling asleep but up every night around 2-3am regardless when I go to bed ( usually 10-10:30pm). Finally, quit using Tylenol PM or Benadryl and tried Magnesium Glycinate (400 Mg) and Theanine (250mg) before bed. It helped at first (crazy dreams) but back to waking up again. In addition, digestive system has been an issue as well - haven’t had a solid BM in 6 months or more. The Magnesium did not improve that situation it I was willing to live with it providing I could sleep. I take D3-K2 (Nootropics) and B complex (Thorne) in the morning and a glass of OJ for the vitamin C. I have historically tested vit D deficient. I used to take a GNC mega-men multi vitamin for decades but finally felt it was a waste. I limit coffee to 1-2 cups in the morning. I reduced alcohol content in the evenings from 1-2 per night to 3-4 per week. I exercise 4-5 times per week both weights and cardio - always in the morning for most of my life (52 yrs old). My wife says I don’t snore (she does 😂). I guess the next step is a sleep study but what blood test are recommended to get a full panel of results to see if there is anything going on or what other supplements might help? Sorry for the long explanation…

The importance of DeFi

First of all, what even is DeFi? CoinMarketCap defines it as such:

DeFi (or “decentralized finance”) is an umbrella term for financial services on public blockchains, primarily Ethereum. With DeFi, you can do most of the things that banks support — earn interest, borrow, lend, buy insurance, trade derivatives, trade assets, and more — but it’s faster and doesn’t require paperwork or a third party. As with crypto generally, DeFi is global, peer-to-peer (meaning directly between two people, not routed through a centralized system), pseudonymous, and open to all.

For the purpose of this post, we will refer to DeFi that stems from the classic AMM (automated market maker) model. Think Uniswap, Balancer, Curve, Pancakeswap, Spookyswap, &c.

DeFi really boils down to liquidity providing. Essentially, it’s a decentralized way to get around the limitations of an order book, and a third-party intermediary. Fees that would go to a centralized entity instead get distributed among participants in the protocol i.e. liquidity providers. By doing this, secondary use-cases can emerge, such as borrowing, lending, &c.

Communities need DeFi, and ways to swap tokens between one another without going through a central authority.

Let’s be honest. The biggest thorn in everyone’s side in the Hedera community is Fantom. They have a bigger cohort of retail investors because of DeFi. There’s $5.91 billion in value locked on DeFi protocols on Fantom. $2 billion of that flowed into their network in the last two weeks.

Why are we building DeFi on Hedera?

Through the course of moderation in the last year, we have seen countless requests from community members for a DeFi platform to enable their tokens to work for them. In addition to this, we have seen a large number of posts asking about proxy-staking. The meaning behind this is simple – HBAR holders want to earn passive-income on their tokens like so many other token holders can.

There is simply a need for it. The community wants it.

Hedera currently has no DeFi platform that works through an AMM. This undermines the whole idea of decentralization within the ecosystem, and we would argue contributes to the “it’s centralized” FUD.
