A list of puns related to "Thomas Langlois Lefroy"
Up for grabs two new pairs of Arc'teryx Lefroy pants. Both size 34x32. One pair in elk (dark khaki) and the other labyrinth (deep blue/green). Labyrinth still have tags attached but I removed the tags trying on the elk and lost it. $80 each, or $150 for both Paypal F&F shipped TYD.

Hello all! I am looking to purchase a pair of Lefroy pants for some warmer weather hiking. The color "cobalt moon" looks really nice in the pictures, but it looks like a pretty dark shade of blue. I fear the darker color will attract too much sunlight and defeat the purpose of wearing lighter pants by attracting too much light/heat. I can also get the "elk" color but it's definitely not my favorite color. Anyone have pants in "cobalt moon" that could chime in on how warm they will be in the sun?
I'm looking to get a pair of pants for an upcoming backpacking trip through Alaska, and I've pretty much settled on either getting the Lefroy pants or the Palisade pants. I've looked at other brands (Prana, ExOfficio, Patagonia, etc.), but I've always found the fit and quality of my other Arc'teryx products to be top notch, and I don't mind paying a bit extra.
That all said, I'm debating between the Lefroy and Palisades and in all honesty, besides the pockets, I can't seem to find much of a difference between the two pants.
I typically backpack in running shorts, but since mosquitoes are going to be a huge worry during the summer in Alaska, I'm looking for pants that mosquitoes can't easily bite through. I'd assume both the Lefroy and the Palisades, due to their material, would be highly resistant to mosquitoes, but I could be wrong.
Additionally, it rains a lot during the summer there, and I know that there will be multiple places where I'll have to do stream/river crossings, so I'm looking for pants that are quick drying.
Would the Palisades or the Lefroys be a better option for my use case? Also, what are some of the other primary differences between the two that might not be obvious upon just looking at them?
Hey all,
The wife and I are planning a trip up to Ningaloo station (or whatever it's called now that Dpaw manage it)
I have been looking on the Dpaw website and wondering if anyone has any experience at North Lefroy Bay? There are almost no reviews or youtube videos on this place and there is about 80% less bookings than the other sites at Ningaloo (windibandi and Sth Lefroy)
Wondering if it's no good?
Thanks in advance
I'm taking Economic History of Europe with Langlois right now but as 5101. The only difference is that we have to write essays instead of exams. However, he said the final exam will be the same for both 2101 and 5101. So I'm wondering for anyone who is or has took his class: how was the final? How much did you have to prepare? Did you watch all his video presentations?
I was road tripping through OR yesterday and saw some gigantic bonsai/Dr. Seuss looking trees in Langlois. The base was at least 6 feet wide and I canβt seem to find them when I search on the web. Can anybody tell me what kind of tree Iβm talking about?

Since there were some questions recently regarding the Nodin, I decided to write up my experiences with it on a recent trip. TL;DR at the bottom.
Two weeks ago, I had planned to go on a backpacking trip in the backcountry of Lassen Volcanic National Park, but due to different circumstances this didnβt happen. We still went up and stayed in the park to relax and do some of the more touristic things. On this trip I had the chance to use my latest Arc`teryx purchases: the Nodin windbreaker and the Lefroy hiking shorts.
On the first day we hiked the famous Cinder Cone, which is basically a huge pile of gravel and sand. It was pretty hot, so needless to say the Nodin stayed in the bag the entire time. But I was pretty happy with the Lefroy shorts. They have a good fit, are reasonably light and felt very comfortable in the hot weather. I mainly bought them because of the integrated low-profile belt strap, but never felt like that was actually needed to keep them in place. If you were to rely on it, Iβm not sure how well it would perform since the buckle seems to slip fairly easily. All in all, I was happy with the shorts because, well, they delivered what I expect from hiking shorts.
The second day brought a slight weather change. Temperatures dropped into the 50s with cold winds and light precipitations. With the Kings Creek Falls Trail we had planned another tourist favorite for that day. Some people might have complained about the rather unpleasant conditions, but I was excited to finally put the Nodin to the test!
The short hike itself is a 3 miles out and back walk with a moderate 470 ft elevation gain on the way back.During the hike out to the waterfalls the Nodin jacket kept me isolated from wind and light rain with just a synthetic t-shirt underneath it. On the way back up from the Kings Creek Falls the trail follows the stream, where we were fully protected from the wind by rocks. Under different circumstances I would have probably removed the jacket or at least opened the zipper, but since I wante
