A list of puns related to "Thes Sport"
La-Cross!
>I worked for Turner Sports, which operated NBA TV & NBA.com in partnership w/the league, for 14 years. You know what David Stern did when I wrote or said something he didnβt like? He called me up and cussed me out. But he didnβt go to my bosses & try to fire me.
This is in response to Ken Rosenthal being let go from the MLB Network because he was critical of MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred.
With governments across the world looking to cease production of ICE cars by 2035, I feel like it would make an absurd amount of sense for companies to bring back some of their classics before it's too late.
A new 3000gt, a new silvia, a REAL wrx, maybe even a final rotary rx7. It's just weird to me that even though we have a deadline for these cars to exist again, nobody is really taking advantage and marketing to the kids who grew up idolizing these cars that can now afford to buy them.
Thoughts? Or do we think brands are leaning more towards bringing the classics back as EV's if they do at all?
Edit: I'm sorry I offended y'all by asking about MORE brands bringing cars back. I know we already have a pretty decent selection right now, that's why I didn't list those cars. I'm talking about revamping old models, not continued/new models.
Sauce is one of the greatest Bearcats of all time, without hyperbole. Whoever drafts him is going to be very happy.
> Sacramento Kings guard DeβAaron Foxβs name is circulating throughout the league as a big-time player who can potentially be moved by the Feb. 10 NBA trade deadline. > > The Philadelphia 76ers canvassed the prospect of a Fox, Ben Simmons trade package as recently as a few days ago, but dialogue remains exploratory due diligence, league sources told Yahoo Sports. >
> The Kings have received an abundance of interest in Fox and second-year guard Tyrese Haliburton, but the internal plan is to build around those two cornerstones in the backcourt rather than shipping them out, sources said. > > However, no player on the Kingsβ roster is deemed untouchable. Sacramento is 17-27 and 11th in the Western Conference standings. > > βYou definitely think about potentially being traded because we are struggling,β Fox told Yahoo Sports after leading the Kings with 29 points in a 125-116 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night.
>βIf you do have a change of scenery, it changes everything. Iβve been here for five years. Iβve built a life here, a family here. But once Iβm on the court, all that is out the window. Youβre not thinking about anything else that can happen outside of your control. But Iβve been through some deadlines. Iβve seen people get traded at the last second. You try not to think about it, but you know itβs a business and anything can happen. Iβm not sure whatβs going to happen. Obviously, you see reports on Twitter. Am I worried about it? No. Can it happen? Yeah, it can definitely happen.β
>βIβm not going to sit here and say I want to get traded, but anything can happen in this business,β Fox told Yahoo Sports. βYou've seen the best players in the league get traded. You canβt think youβre safe.
Don't get me wrong, there are lots of amazing soccer players and teams out there. It's an amazing sport with some amazing characters, but the way these fakers drop to the ground and fetal position screaming just to get another player kicked out is pathetic. I think it takes a lot of heart and soul out of the entire sport to watch that kind of garbage. I think it's almost pathetic that they don't kick those particular players out of the game for feigning injury. Players that fake injuries and roll around on the ground kicking and screaming after somebody batted an eyelash at them, they're not athletes, they're pathetic little bitches.
With their win today, the Bengals break the longest active playoff win drought in all of American professional sports.
There wasn't a spate of really bad head injuries, they weren't shamed into acting by an outraged public... they found out that bonks on your head are worse than anyone thought and they did what you'd expect: hired independent experts, formed committees, worked with players unions, then instituted new laws, guidelines, penalties, and a GOLBAL education programme to back it up.
If the NFL were to ever do similarly, it's hard to see them coming back with anything more comprehensive....
As someone who's played both sports, it really makes me wonder why this is beyond the realm of the NFL or fundamentally incompatible with the nature of American Football.
From the press release back in 2016:
###Global education programme
World Rugby will support this initiative with a global awareness and education programme aimed at:
From 3 January, two new categories of dangerous tackles will carry penalty offences to deter and eradicate high tackles:
###Reckless tackle A player is deemed to have made reckless contact during a tackle or attempted tackle or during other phases of the game if in making contact, the player knew or should have known that there was a risk of making contact with the head of an opponent, but did so anyway. This type of contact also applies to grabbing and rolling or twisting around the head/neck area even if the contact starts below the line of the shoulders.
Minimum sanction: Yellow card.
Maximum sanction: Red card
###Accidental tackle When making contact with another player during a tackle or attempted tackle or during other phases of the game, if a player makes accidental contact with an opponent's head, either directly or where
