A list of puns related to "The Thirsty Traveler"
Seriously people, let's focus on the update we just got for at least a little while and then we can start sharing our own wild wishes for what's next (I know I have my fair share).
Edit: A lot of people seem to not understand what I'm saying. This isn't about bug reporting or tweaks/fixes of Beyond features. And I'm not suggesting permanently. Just a temporary pause. And it's not a demand either, just something to consider! This happens every update. Do what you want, but consider your timing. Yes, I know that a lot of the features we have exist because we suggest them here, and that's great, but do we need to demand more more more when they just gave us a free update, their largest yet?

For those who donβt know, when Breakneck procs the firerate increases, but so does the damage. Now the damage is REDUCED when the fire rate is increased. Aztecross put up a video about it and why? Itβs a goddamn PINNACLE AUTO RIFLE, so at one point did ANYONE on this reddit say breakneck is too overpowered? But at the same fucking time you left Recluse EXACTLY the same? I really donβt get the reasons behind this at all. You guys always wanted the Meta for both PvP and PvE to shift, but this single handily cemented that recluse is the god gun for PvE.
Edit: the Breakneck changes are at 5:10 on the video.
AND BROADSWORD TOO! forgot about that, kinda hard when the phone is almost dead. It got a -20%, yes thatβs a minus to weapon damage when Desperado is active. Really?
basically for the life of destiny 1 and 2 autos have not been even close to a viable option for crucible or pve. but now with this update i feel like they are perfectly balanced and it is so much fun! please u/dmg04 dont give into the spare ration hunters crying about autos they are so much fun.
sorry if bad format im at work and just woke up lol
happy trials day all!

So I absolutely love the lore of all the Destiny antagonists for its scope and creativity, but I feel like the setting has sort of fundamentally written itself into a corner where it seems that the power balance between the antagonists and humanity is utterly lopsided to the point where there can't really be any plausible and narratively logical or satisfying resolution to the story other than earth and humanity getting turned into a cosmic grease spot. From a sort of hard-nosed military, realpolitik point of view we seem like a pathetically tiny, underdeveloped country looking down the barrel of numerous superpowers (or really more like super superpowers).
(PLEASE NOTE: the intent of this post is not to be a jerk or a party pooper, I love the game and the lore and I'm willing to suspend disbelief, but I think it's a fun thought experiment and an interesting narrative challenge.)
I get that having Guardians is a big deal. An army of supercommandos with literal magic powers and hypertech at their disposal, who can't be killed unless you destroy their ghost as well, definitely is an impressive asset! However, it seems like just by raw numbers and materiel the Hive, Vex, and Cabal should be able to overwhelm us pretty much regardless.
Similarly, the Traveler is a big magic ball with a lot of power, but in the lore it has never been able to stand up to the Hive even when it is operating in concert with spacefaring species strongly implied to be vastly more powerful than even Golden Age humanity (most notably the Ecumene and the Taishibethi).
Also, critically, it seems like the Guardians have no space navy? Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems like the Last City has no fleet of warships (other than our little Guardian ships that we use for boarding actions). It seems the Awoken do have a space fleet but in The Taken King it looks like it was mauled pretty badly and effectively taken off the board?
It also seems like the Last City has virtually no conventional army, beyond a small force of frames and volunteers who guard the city itself but are never shown to my knowledge to project meaningful force on a mass scale beyond the walls. Having supercommandos to take out enemy leadership and key targets is great, but without a conventional force to then move in and actually seal the deal I don't know what good the Guardians can ultimately do.
So I ask you, what are your ideas about how we are not just totally

My question is do we have any lore entries about where/how the Cabal were able to figure out how to make the cage that could trap a paracasual entity like the Traveler and take light from it? That seems in itself an almost paracasual device. I'm surprised its been overlook for so long. Where did the Cabal learn/build something like that? That'd be like if we could someone how cage a pyramind
Hey everyone,
I'm doing a research paper for my biology class on the flora of Io and its plausibility. Does anyone know how the traveler terraforms moons and planets.
I have already been pointed towards this theory https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyLore/comments/acixfr/could_io_explain_how_the_traveller_terraforms/.
Any help would be great.
Quests like Izanagi's Burden (Mysterious Box) and Truth (A Map Asunder), just to name a few...My pursuit's tab is already cluttered.
Can we finally get that dark themed loading and character selection screen?!?!
Edit: we did it! Team is aware of the feedback, and will try to make it happen!!
I mean... sure... weed is fun, but have you actually drank a whole glass when you thirsty as fuck? That shit is bananas!
When you start coming down from an amphetamine binge and you get this ravaging thirst that swallows your body, I swear to fuck, a glass full of water is a blessing coming straight from the sky. It's a direct link between you and god. You get possessed by this alien entity whose sole purpose is to absorb every goddamn water molecule in sight.
Picture this: You get your ass to the kitchen counter, take a glass, fill it with water and raise it to your almost-dead-chapped-lips... And what happens next? Fucking magic, I tell you. During those 2-3 seconds while you're drinking it... while you're gulping that goddamn water like a dying animal, nothing else matters in this life. It's only you and that glass of water, you love it and it loves you back in perfect harmony.
People say you get religious experiences while on DMT? Fuck them. They never had a good glass of water in their life. That shit will satisfy the "inner beast" you didn't know you had, and warm your heart like a thousand blankets on a cozy christmas night.
π§ Drink some goddamn water. Stay hydrated. Peace. π§

DUN DUNNNN!!!!! DUN DUN DUN DUUUNNNNNNN!!!!
since the end of the vanilla campaign, the Traveler has been rebuilding itself. Itβs much bigger than it was in destiny 1 but thatβs because itβs probably just enlarged. Now that we know itβs alive, when itβs complete what will happen? will it leave us? will it flee again? will it open up? will we get a cutscene or introduce a new character? a new city celebration? an in game event? nothing at all? so many possibilities and i have no idea which one will happen
