When someone asks what blockchain is,most of the answers are “blockchain is a distributed account book”, but if you put this sentence in reverse — “Distributed account book is blockchain”, many people will complain for DAG.
Distributed account book, also known as distributed ledger, is a network composed of multiple nodes that can store and process data. In such a network, there is no central entity controlling data processing, and building trust and connection by consensus. Blockchain is an implementation of distributed ledgers, as is DAG. The difference is that the bottleneck of “block + chain” structure is increasingly obvious, and the advantages of DAG are increasingly prominent.
DAG is an acronym for Direct Acyclic Gragh,it consists of finite vertices and edges,with each edge directed from one vertex to another,such that there is on way to start any vertex and follow a consistenly-directed sequence of edges that eventually loops back to this vertex again.

In DAG structure,transactions are always created and issued by the themseves and new transactions can be processed without waiting for data synchronization of other nodes. So the system can process multiple transactions at the same time, which greatly improves the transaction processing ability of the system. DAG has no concept of blocks ,nor does it logged. In DAG each new unit validates and confirms its parents,the parents of that parents,up until the genesis; and includes the hash of its patrents to its own unit. Compared with a single “chain” structure, tampering with any data in a “net-like” DAG structure becomes more difficult.
DAG has the advantages of fast transaction speed and high throughput, but there are also some problems. Fortunately, Nerthus found a solution.
Shadow Chain — Witness Mechanism
In a DAG network, since transactions can be processed in parallel, an attacker may secretly generate a shadow chain and occasionally connect the shadow chain with the main chain to evade detection algorithms. In extreme cases, the shadow chain may replace the main chain to become the consensus of the whole network. I purchase a Ledger from Ebay, from a reputable seller. The Ledger was new and sealed, it did not look in anyway that it had be compromised. I used the Ledger wallet for 4 weeks, buying XRP, Dash. LiteCoin and Bitcoin totally original investment of £7000, I had over 5000 XRP, over the space of 4 weeks that £8000 grow to £25000 due to the increase in all the coins values, then on yesterday when I check my Ledger I found that all the coins had been transferred out of my accounts on the 4th January. I later discovered after speaking to a number of people including Ledger that my Ledger had been compromised, someone had already put the seed words into it then insert a very legit looking seed recovery card (https://imgur.com/DsICkge) with a scratch off panel, I really thought the seed recovery card was legit. This has been a huge blow to me, have not had anything to eat or sleep since I discovered the lost of all my coins. I have never fallen for any Scams, and this is the first time. I am really hoping this does not happen to anyone else.
