Special Appreciation for the folks at Solent Ships (Ideas for showing gratitude?)
Hey guys, not really sure about this, but I heard on their stream, the Solent Ship guys actually paid for a camera to set up the separate stream for cricket fans!
If this is true, I think this was really nice on their part. Now I know they are probably not on this forum to see this, hence if we could show our appreciation by either messaging the mods or really any other ideas, we should do that.
Just my two cents, I don't really know how or if this post even fits here, but I just feel we should show our gratitude somehow. Especially considering how much we screwed with their live chat.
Apologies if this is not the right thread

Portchester castle. Protecting the Solent since the 3rd century, pretty much our best remaining Saxon fort. Canβt wait to visit again soon.

This is No Manβs Fort. One of three naval defence forts built in the Solent (south UK) from 1867-1880 to protect important seaport Portsmouth from Napoleon. This one was converted into a boutique hotel. Itβs only reachable to guests by boat.

The English warship Mary Rose capsizes during battle of the Solent, 1545. No one is sure why the ship capsized, there are several theories, what we do know is the boarding net trapped many of the sailors which led to heavy casualties. Only around 35 survivors out of a crew of 420 men.

My favorite part about visiting my family back home is getting to go visit Piper's Haven in Lafayette, LA. Picked up a fresh Nording Viking pipe, a bag of Mac Baren Solent Mixture, and the classic in-house aro blend, Ennis. It's my wife's favorite, and is a required smoke on movie nights!

The Mary Rose. An English Carrack and one of the most powerful vessels of the early 16th century, it served with prominence in the many wars of the period before capsizing and sinking in 1545. In 1982, the wreck was lifted from the Solent and brought to Portsmouth where it is preserved. [1080x721]
