My son turned 13, and Steven Universe is his everything right now. So for his birthday, I made the Together Breakfast cake. It has a maple buttercream frosting and is stuffed with strawberries, and I went with kettle corn popcorn on top. Tasted pretty darn good, and he was so surprised!

Edit: For those asking why I didn’t just boil some on the stove/hob
- I’m too stupid to think before I do things
- Another family member was cooking at the time (I wasn’t about to wait for my cuppa)
- Previous experience in boiling water in a saucepan on a gas camping stove returned similar metallic tasting results (maybe I’ve ingested something I shouldn’t have idk)

My first truly successful brisket! 7.5lb choice brisket flat from Costco smoked over post oak wood on my Weber kettle. Took 13 hours roughly plus another 90 minutes of resting before I carved it.
