A list of puns related to "The Rampage From Exile Tribe"
So my player is a Bugbear whom led a tribe of bugbears for some time and decided she needed to weed out the weaker members. Doing so she forced out her son but he unfortunately took her grandson and his spouse with him. She didn't anticipate this.
Because her son left with more of her tribe than expected the whole tribe was raided and didn't have the numbers to defend themselves.
Years later she's seeking out her son and grandson. I'm trying to figure out how the interaction will go and if combat would be likely. Any advice would be appreciated!
I played WoW a lot in the Wrath-MoP era, then took a break until a few months ago and I think that the changes to the levelling experience are mostly great. Instead of every character needing to see ~20% of every expansion, it sees about 80% of a single one. This is way more cohesive and frankly much more fun.
The only concern I have is Exile's Reach for levels 1-10. I recently did it on my new human monk before levelling in Pandaria; this was my first human character that I actually spent time on. It was a really great levelling experience until I arrived in SW afterwards and I felt no connection to that place or the race. All my previous characters would do their starting experience, of course, and instantly the character feels at home with their race. My main is a dwarf and when I play him I identify with the dwarves I encounter. Same thing on my draenei, belf, tauren, etc.
But this new human, I feel no attachment to stormwind, the race, or any of the human regions; it felt foreign because I started on a boat, not in Elwynn. All ties to the alliance (not race, mind you) that the zone instilled felt superficial and almost propaganda-ish in how positive it was. It didn't help that I then immediately went off to pandaria where there's even less of a human connection, besides the army, anyways.
I then created a troll shaman (my first troll character) and opted to stay in echo isles and durotar, and will probably continue in Cata content to get the full effect. The difference was night and day. I identified with the trolls and felt much more at home levelling up that region than if I just did exile's reach and then some expansion again. I even felt excluded from the horde itself due to the Garrosh-Troll conflict which was really surprising that the identification could be this tailored and nuanced so quickly. Of course this conflict is outdated now, but was still a good experience.
Now, I'm not really a role player, but I do like to at least get semi immersed in the character that I'm playing, which I think is important in the rpg genre. My concern is that Exile's Reach, while a great levelling experience for new players, may alienate them from their chosen race. Remember that all new players are forced into exile's then BFA on their first character, so they don't even get the choice on how to step into the game. I get that blizzard did this to have new players experience a more polished levelling content, but it may come at the cost of race affiliatio

The Banu Nadir tribe committed many crimes, (1) they broke the treaty; (2) they assisted the Quraysh in war against the Muslims; (3) they attempted to assassinate the Prophet on a number of occasions; (4) they refused to sign a peace treaty and chose war. The end result was they got expelled in order for the community to feel safe from their hostilities."
What is your take on this,
