Buying cosmetic items and platinum can add up quickly. I don't mind supporting the devs, and I did get a lot of enjoyment out of the game so I'm not mad, but totaling up just how much I've spent (over $50) made me realize how easy it is to go overboard with spending on a hobby. Especially on a game like this, where I've already seen most of the content. I could have bought a new release game for this price, or a bunch of discounted ones.

Not sure why I'm posting this, guess I just needed to vent a little. Back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Recently I was looking at Queen albums when I came across the Platinum Collection which just so happened to feature most of my favorite songs by them on it. With that in mind I was thinking about purchasing it, but it seems that there's actually a few different versions of it, so I was uncertain which I should get. Thus, I figured I'd ask here in hopes of getting a better idea of which version was the "best" one.

Firstly there's the original UK & Europe release, then there's the US and Canadian releases which came out a couple years later. The US/Canada releases apparently use the 2001 Japanese release remastered versions for the first two discs. Lastly there's the most recent release which uses the 2011 digital remasters for all three discs.

Normally I'd be inclined to assume that the one featuring the 2011 remasters is the best version, but it isn't unusual to see people claim that remasters of certain songs are inferior to their original counterparts for one reason or another. Granted, I have no idea if that applies to any of the 2001 and/or 2011 remasters of any of Queen's songs.

I booked at a hotel in AmEx Hotel Collection (a prepaid rate for which I was charged immediately with "AmEx Hotel Collection" appearing on the statement) and contacted the hotel about the booking. They immediately confirmed an upgrade to a suite and told me I'd have the $100 property credit available for whatever I want during my stay. Sweet! Then AF hit and I cancelled the card.

The stay is next month. My assumption is that I can just provide a different card for incidentals at check-in and that they'll have no reason to ping the old card or question whether the account is still open. (I'm also not sure that's even a requirement since it was open at the time and the booking was ultimately made under those terms.)

And even if hey did, that probably would just tell them declined and not give a reason (I could have misplaced/locked it, for example).

Anyway...does anyone know anything about or have any experience with this scenario?
