A list of puns related to "The Magician's Nephew"
One reason I ask is that it seems that Magicians Nephew is now the official Book #1 with the publishers for some reason (not clear why).
He said βfor my next trick, I will disappear on the count of three. Uno, dos -β but then he vanished without aΒ tres.

I'm staying at my wife's parent's home for a week for the Christmas/New Year period. My wife's 2 sisters are here too, who have 2 kids each (ages 5 to 9). My wife and I (we're late 20s) don't have kids.
I'm really close to them and love them immensely. I'll engage with them however I can: invent fun games like run around and pretend I'm a monster, help put them to sleep, feed them, discipline them when they misbehave e.g. put them in timeouts (parents will always take my side in punishments) etc. I'm the only adult that will actively engage in play with them most of the day, whereas the other adults mostly give them an activity and let them carry on themselves (not disparaging anyone, just want to show we're genuinely close). The kids all call me the "fun" one.
Every time we stay here, the kids make a LOT of noise in the morning from 7am/8am onwards, often right outside the bedrooms. Even with earplugs in and my phone playing white noise on full volume all night, it wakes me and everyone else up a dozen times.
They've been told every night before sleep to be quiet in the morning but it never works. Every morning I have to get out of bed at least once and tell them to be quiet and stay downstairs (which I'm thanked for). I said last night while putting them to sleep that tomorrow they can only play Mario Kart on their Nintendo Switch (which they love), and I'll only take them to the park tomorrow, if they are ALL quiet in the morning and I don't get woken up.
Today they were noisy again, and I followed through with my punishment. They insisted not all of them were making noise so they all shouldn't be punished. I said no, I got woken up by multiple screaming voices and the deal was you all had to be quiet. Cue extremely grumpy kids, screaming it's not fair. They wouldn't calm down, so I said no Switch tomorrow either. And unless they behave, and don't wake us up in the morning, I won't take them to the park tomorrow either.
Their mothers both said "if OP told you to do something and you didn't listen, he can punish you".
My wife said that I should stop the punishment now as it's too severe (including extending it to a second day). Plus it wasn't ALL the kids that were making noise, plus it's Christmas and they should be having fun together. I said no, I made a threat of punishment and I'm not going back on it now.
Full disclosure/context - my wife and I sometimes discuss (not argue) that perhaps I'm severe with my punishments and punish bad behavio

The news has just broken that the show will be ending after this season.
We know, we're sad too. Here's a place to talk about it.

I'm 24. I have no highschool diploma due to dropping out of school to care for my disabled mother. We live off of my mother's income which is roughly $2,300/month and enough to survive off of, but we can't find an apartment due to her poor credit (credit score is around 580, but a recent eviction is the main bottleneck here).
We've been homeless since July of this year and have been living in tents and couch surfing to survive while repeatedly being denied at any apartment we apply to, draining our money into application fees. I'm tired and feel lost and helpless to get out of this situation on my own. I had a job, but wasn't able to make it to work after my car broke down and I was unable to fix it.
My goals for the future are to get my mother in a stable enough situation for me to comfortably leave her and get my own. I'd like to get my GED and possibly find higher education if it's an option financially. I'd like to build up my credit and earn enough money to live on my own while still living with my mom and using that time to save whatever money I can. I just have no idea where to start. I haven't been taught any financial literacy and neither was my mom. My mom is considering moving to a state with a lower cost of living and less steep move-in requirements, but that would be at the cost of being near family and possible career and education opportunities that I would like to pursue. I think we should start by contacting our last landlord and making a payment plan on our debt to try and improve our credit and get that prior eviction off of our credit record, but this seems like a more long-term plan than would be beneficial for us in the moment since we're in need of immediate housing, especially with a 6, 7 and 14 year old all depending on us.
I guess I just want to get an idea of a game plan for going forward from this. I have no idea where to start and everything I've been trying has just pushed me deeper into this hole and I'm feeling lost and incredibly depressed. I just need help.
If it's helpful for your advice at all I live in New Hampshire but am interested in living in either New Hampshire or Massachusetts, possibly Maine if it's nearer the New Hampshire border.
Edit: I just wanted to say that when I first posted this thread I was on the verge of tears, and some of the responses here show a really depressed side of myself that I'm trying to not let take over in this situation, but after hearing back from so many people eager to help me I

This actually happened a few months ago
My nephew turned 6 last year and heβs a very curious and smart kid. He used to go to pre-K everyday and he loves learning new things and telling his little friends about what heβs learning. My mother lives with his family and she told him that his penis is called a βwee-weeβ. He came to me one day and was like βgrandma told me that my thing is called a wee-wee but I donβt think thatβs true. What is it really called?β So I decide to tell him the truth and that itβs really called a penis and women have vaginas. I personally think that not telling kids the proper name for their genitals is ridiculous. Penis and vagina arenβt curse words.
Anyways things go sideways when he decides to play show and tell with his little friends. I guess he was curious about vaginas and he wanted to teach them the word penis. So they go to the playground and he gets a little group going and has a girl volunteer. He pulls down his pants and shows of his penis and his friend pulls down her pants to show off her vagina. Teacher notices the little group and goes to find these kids examining their genitals. There was a meeting with both sets of parents to explain to them why they shouldnβt do that again without making them feel ashamed. I was blamed for teaching him the correct terminology.
Tl;dr I told my nephew the correct name for penis and vagina and he told his friends at school and he showed them his penis and another girlβs vagina.
James Harden's controversial gather step Pt.1 vs. Utah "For our next #FilmStudy, let's take a look at a play that's getting a LOT of attention over the last couple days. It involves the gather (and a eurostep). Watch the play from the broadcast angle first here." Clip 1
Controversial Harden gather step vs. Utah Pt.2 "NBA officials are trained to look for when the dribbler gathers the ball, and the steps he takes after. After gathering the ball, a player is allowed two legal steps. Watch the video here:" Clip 2
Non controversial Joel Embiid gather step "This is similar to another play from last week - see how the player gathers first, then proceeds to take two legal steps (sideways in this case) on his way to the basket before he shoots. Legal play." Clip 3
Non controversial Brad Wanamaker gather step "Take a look at this play that, to most fans, is clearly legal. You can see it follows the same cadence - a gather, then two legal steps. But the steps are going toward the basket rather than side-to-side." Clip 4
