Three photographers are captured in the Amazon jungle buying ancient tribe

They're brought to the chief and the chief says "go pick three pieces of fruit each" so they go off and they pick three pieces of fruit. the first photographer that gets back has three apples. "and now" says the chief "you have to stick them up your ass without showing any emotion" so he tries, and he gets the first Apple halfway in there he screams in pain and is shot and killed. the second guy walks up and he has three cherries the Chief tells him to do the same thing so he gets the first one in there no problem the second one in there no problem and then he laughs and is shot and killed. and so the first photographer says to the second "why did you laugh" and he says "because I saw Mike walking up with three pineapples"

Dadjoked my son's friends in an online game. Nobody laughed.

Last night I was playing an online game with some of my son's friends, and one randomly texted on the in-game chat: "I just ate an apple. RAW!"

I wrote back, "That's hard core!"

Nobody laughed. At least, that I saw. :(

Edit: Holy moly, it gets mediocre response two days ago when it's posted, then it blows up over the weekend. Thanks for all the upvotes, folks! Love all the other terrible jokes & puns on here!

Dad joke orbital strike from yesterday.

Christmas dinner, 2013. My mother in law is asked if she'd like some wine, is offered choices, Pinot Grigio, Mulled Apple or Cabernet. She's indecisive for a minute or so. Eventually, she settles on the apple wine. Her father comments, "well that sure took a long time."

I retorted with, "Well, she had to mull it over for a bit."

Simultaneously, 4 generations of women roll their eyes at me, while the guys all laugh.

Breakfast with Dad

I was eating breakfast with my parents at a hotel. It was a buffet style one. We were towards the end of the meal when this happened.

Dad: Did you see all the juices they had over there?

Me: Yeah, I went for orange.

Mom: Oooh do they have Passion Fruit and Guava juice? We could mix them and make POG.

Me: Nah, they had Cranberry, Orange, Apple, and Lemonade though; you could make COAL.

Dad: It's a good thing they didn't have Cranberry, Raspberry, Apple, and Pineapple. (He was already laughing at his own joke getting the last word out) ...Do you get it? (now in uncontrollable laughter)

Me: I could smell that one coming when you started it.

Mom groaned and pretended not to know us.

My kids think they can control the Apple TV with their mind

You can get an app on your iPhone/iPad that acts as a remote control to Apple TV. Using this, I have convinced my kids that you can control the Apple TV by thought alone. They practice by yelling out commands to the TV which I then do from another room.

In addition to that, I sometimes pause shows, fast forward, rewind, skip tracks, etc., at random times. I have the kids convinced that the other one must have accidentally thought something a bit too loudly. They fight over it while I sit the other room, silently laughing myself to death.

Dinner joke

So tonight at the dinner table my mother wanted to explain how she made the salad.

So she begins with: "first i chopped some salat just to begin the salat, and I added some apple and lime to give it some bitterness. I also chopped some hazelnuts to give the salat umami" (to those who don't know what umami is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umami)

Then my dad interrupted and said: "If I had made that salat, i would have used walnuts instead. I prefer the taste og upapi.

The he laughed in a way, only a dad can do.

Made my whole office groan yesterday.

A couple years ago, an employee of ours, when she was in college, was using her MacBook in a tree. The laptop fell off her lap, to the ground, and the screen was shattered.

This story was recounted yesterday and I added: "Looks like the apple didn't fall far from the tree".

A couple laughs, many groans, but mostly "oh gosh..."

I was just trying to talk about getting my shoes repaired

Me: So Dad, looks like I need a new pair of shoes (as I showed him the worn out sole on my current boots)

Dad: I don't know of any shoe repair shops in the area.

Me: There's a cobbler just around the corner from my house, I went in to....

Dad: (before I could finish my sentence) Yea, but it's probably just apple.

Of course, I had to laugh, but then quickly continued the conversation the way I had intended...
