A list of puns related to "The Great Adventure Of Horus, Prince Of The Sun"
I'm almost through season one right now (was a casual viewer when it first aired) and the show has been hitting on a lot of marks.
Lithgow is just great with his overzealous absurdity, and I gotta say French Stewart kills it with his physical comedy/slight mannerisms (like a discount Kramer), idiocy and overall look. Kristen Johnston is great at playing up her newfound sexuality and exploring her femininity and relationships. Gordon-Levitt is great too, and it's just wild to see him so young again (and in one episode declaring he's now black as he sits there playing the blues).
I think it's actually a pretty poignant take on humanity and society at times. And it is a LOT dirtier and filled with innuendos then I remembered. As aliens studying humans, they're all so preoccupied with sex and it actually touches on some interesting and heavier topics like consent and gender roles. It also has a couple episodes that tackles race in an interesting way.
And also, it's tongue-in-cheek lewd at times (paraphrased):
> POLICE OFFICER: "Dick, are you ready to finger your perp?"
> DICK [SITTING NEXT TO DR. MARY ALBRIGHT]: "Well I've been trying to but she won't let me!"
Anyway, just wanted to share my opinion here and see if anyone remembered this show or had rewatched eps lately and had anything they wanted to add. We'll see how the rest of the seasons hold up as I go on :)
First off: great cast! Dame Judy Dench, Thandie Newton, Karl Urban, Colm Feore, just excellent actors all over.
The story is more complex than you would expect and features several interlocking competing parties all seeking different things, and all trying to achieve those goals while not getting killed by the other parties. Its not a simple "good guys and bad guys" type story which makes it more interesting.
Plenty of action, plenty of fighting, and all that as expected. But all the action and fighting sits within an involving and interesting plot, its not just mindless action for its own sake.
It has a very B movie feel to it. But nothing wrong with that. I like the world it created. Excellent visual effects, and some fairly elaborate costumes and set pieces.
I thought this was another goofball action flick like F and F type stuff, but I found it to be much better than that. If you are in the mood for some hard core action, but also great actors hamming it up with a solid script then this is for you.
September 2018, I released Roller-ride in Play-market and uploaded video trailer on YouTube, but something goes wrong and people start hating me for "bad soundtrack and graphics", then I removed all source files. Summer of 2019, Google start removing all apk's that were compiled for 32bit version of Android. A week ago I recreated my game and this time it has no advertisement, no paid content, no soundtrack. This video shows full walkthrough (with cheats): https://youtu.be/lQ3RE9u3wS0 And about an hour ago I get an e-mail that says my game update is successfully uploaded! Finally, I can share the link with you: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.VityaSchel.RollerRide This game is about a ball that going from Earth to the Sun through obstacles such as planes, trains, aliens, falling rocks, flappy birds, lava and other stuff. Genre is Arcade but it has a goal and final cutscene. Whole gameplay from start to the end takes about 2 minutes, but it's very hard to complete the first 3 stages. Try to not explode and do not forget about the in-game shop! 24 skins for the player you can buy for in-game currency, that collecting during your attempts. Currently, I am going to support this game, add new content and fix bugs.
Title.
Setting: Fantasy universe.
Story
Azyron's kingdom was torn apart by its former king Shangdi (aka Azyron's dad). Shangdi pretty much flung it into turmoil because of two things: he went nuts because he's a young person stuck in an old man's body (he aged too fast), and his brother wants to revive his own kingdom.
Rivarian, Shangdi's brother, god of darkness, and father of Xyrus, had his kingdom destroyed by Shangdi years and years ago. After constantly pleading to his brother for resources and begging him for help, Rivarian was killed by the god of light.
Apothus, the eldritch horror that Azyron talks about (and hey, he's been on this subreddit before!), raised Azyron and Xyrus both, and allowed Azyron's first order as king: to kill his own father for the benefit of everybody.
Azyron looks like this, inheriting his father's tan skin (before his change to an old man), but inheriting his mother's very pale blond hair. He, being the son of the god of light, can create miniature balls of light. He also can see into the future (Apothus might've done something to him, who knows?).
His brother Xyrus was more punished when Apothus raised him. He inherited his father's black hair and dark powers. He has the ability to step into the afterlife and see ghosts n' things (again, Apothus might've done something, who knows).
That's all I can really tell ya about their stories, heh. Ask Azyron anything, he'll be happy to answer.
why can't we have somthing new and exiting set in a awesome universe? Oh right, the prequels got lambasted for not being action films, and were "boring."

Itโs a pretty common opinion that the Norm of the North trilogy is an inferior and bloated series compared to Madagascar (which Iโm not disagreeing with) but I was surprised just how much I enjoyed the first entry on a rewatch.
Itโs probably the only film in the series that really centers on the wonderfully portrayed Norm and his journey, allowing for a nice arc in him not only embracing adventure but loyalty to his farting lemming companions. I actually enjoyed the slower pace this time around (I remember being very bored during the polar bears in the North portion first time watching) but it really allows for some nice character moments. And that Norm of the North rap song makes it completely worth it.
The film looks absolutely gorgeous with the โlifelessโ CGI being the least noticeable in this entry compared to the sequels. The grand music, the diverse set pieces are all quite memorable - Norm getting zucced by a vacuum cleaner anyone? Some of the dialogue was also very touching, in particular this one from North which wasnโt even from the original manga:
โGeez they donโt call this place a concrete jungle for nothingโ.
I think approaching this film expecting the sombre, gritty tone of Madagascar wonโt lead to a satisfying watch. Sure, the action is at times ridiculous and the humour can be silly but thatโs the kind of story this is. Itโs a charming, exciting adventure and in my opinion, really excels at that. I wish the sequels kept closer to this tone rather than trying to go all out epic which honestly lost a lot of the charm.
