The Black Label Puns

Hi everyone. Happy Friday!!

So, about this little dac/amp. I am not qualified to describe this product’s technical specs and qualities, but I can speak to its ability to reproduce music.

I can find no fault with any of the frequency bands my modest ears can detect. They are all clear, distinct and present, but not to such an extent that what I’ve heard called “the emotion” of our favorite tracks is lost.

And the BL actually has a couple of useful filtering features: a gain switch/bass booster and something called a “3D” switch which spreads out the stage a bit. I don’t use these all the time, but when I instinctively reach for them (old fashioned rocker switches) they add just that extra something to gets the head bobbing a bit more vigorously.

Build quality? It’s a brick shit-house. The only complaint is that the little rubber nubs that control sensitivity matching and whether you use this in direct or line-out mode are long gone. They fell off the first day I had it, and now I use a fingernail to get into the little inset space where the naked switches are housed in order to change things up.

And finally, the battery is amazing. I can go a whole week and sometimes more on a full charge. Using it for a couple hours a day.

Been trying to find info on this for ages and all I seem to be able to find is Ally can buy it from a vendor and the only other place I can find it is the fishing in STV

I don't really know if somebody already made a thread about this, but with the obvious success the Joker movie is having I think (and hope) it's a matter of time until they confirm the label existance. Having said that, wich characters would you like to see in this kind of movies? Personally, I would love to see a Riddler movie vs Detective Gordon or maybe a Black Manta movie about pirates (I just love pirates).

Hi folks Our family has playing with the idea of adopting our first dog, and we’ve come across a lovable 2yo lab at a local SPCA shelter. He was surrendered because his family had allergy issues. We’ve seen him twice, he is reported as liking adults and children, is quite responsive, wags his tail, comes up the fence for scritches, BUT, he’s labeled as “Dog Aggressive”, and he’s a fairly large, strong dog (maybe 90 lbs?). Staff tells us that he actively goes after other dogs, and that’s it’s a behavior that is difficult to get rid of.

We would be first time dog owners, and we want to know what we are getting ourselves into. Obviously no other dogs in our house, no cats either, one cockatiel, but we have lots of neighbors with dogs, and relatives that sometimes come over with their pets. Last freaking thing I need is to get sued by someone when my dog attacks their dog. Question for you guys is, can a 2yo dog be trained out of this behavior? We are set to speak to a dog trainer about this, and possibly take the trainer to meet the dog with us and try to get an opinion. He’s been neutered, if that helps.

Help! We are so about to pull the trigger on this boy, but we don’t want to make a mistake and have to return him...

As a community of people who defy categorization, I find it weird the way some people obsessively use labels. I mean, would you enjoy being referred to something like "one of the Whites/any other group"? It makes it sound like you're not an individual, and you're just a faceless component of this homogenous mass. It feels sort of dehumanizing to me.
