A list of puns related to "The Big Arvo"
I don't know why he thinks I want him to wash my car. He comes out of nowhere. He is a window washer of the night, he comes without warning, he delays traffic once the lights turn green, he attacks cars with his window-washing squeegee of oncoming doom whether they want him to wash their windscreen or not.
Honestly though I'm wondering if there's some etiquette I'm missing, because I say 'no' and shake my head at him and he still comes to wash my window, without fail, every time. I don't pay him after the first time - I thought it was a mistake so I gave him the $5 I had in cash the first time it happened - but now he just does it anyway, even though I don't pay him. Am I doing something wrong? I've been driving for five years and lived in Canberra all my life and I'm suddenly questioning my sanity. I see other cars turn their wipers on to chase him away, but surely that's rude, isn't it?
I don't really understand. Imo, Badger needs to be hated more than Arvo. Yes, Arvo lied to his people about getting robbed even if you didn't stole from him, lured the group to a frozen lake resulting in Luke's death and shoot Clem. Those are all very bad and unforgivable acts. But Badger was much more evil than Arvo and his actions were much more barbaric. He shoot a 13 year old girl, Mariana, in the head just because he felt like killing a kid, killed Francine even if Javi tries to surrender himself, destroyed Prescott and burned it to the ground and constantly taunted both Javi and Conrad for Mariana and Francine's deaths. He was a complete psychopath and pure evil with little to no way to explain his reasons for his actions. At least Arvo had some reason for shooting Clem, I mean, he was a teen and wasn't in the right state of mind when he did that ( he just lost his sister, his whole group, was taken captive by the group that killed his group and was beaten to a bloody pulp by Kenny ). I'm not saying Arvo was justified, because no matter what his reasoning was, it was still wrong shooting an 11 year old girl in the shoulder but Badger was a lunatic who enjoyed killing and had little to no regrets for his actions. His actions were much more barbaric than Arvo's and you're telling me that a teen who just lied and shoot a kid is more evil than a psychopathic bastard who killed a little girl, murdered a woman, and burned down an entire community to the ground ?!!
I think something that would've improved the end of season 2 was replace Arvo and the Russians with Tavia and the 400 Days characters. It makes perfect sense. They destroyed their home and killed their leader and these characters deserved more than cameos. Bonnie is trying to make peace with them since they were her friends. But after Rebecca is turned and when either Clem or Kenny shoot her. Bonnie is the first casualty. I'd like to think the rest of episode 5 is about the group being hunted by Tavia's people and trying to save AJ, however Tavia wants the baby as Carver convinced her that the baby is his. Ultimately it ends with Mike, Jane, Vince, Becca, Shel, Wyatt, and Russell dead and only Clem, Kenny, AJ, Luke and Tavia left alive. The final choice is about who you save from Tavia. Kenny or Luke? I think something like this would've been better than that loathsome little shitbird.
I could sit at home... or I could catch up with some lovely redditors :)
Gidday,
so the other week, someone put a thread up about betting on the A-League. A few people replied so I figured there's a few of us into it and also, that it's allowed.
Anyway, my routine on a Friday arvo is having a few down the pub and chucking a hefty, problematic five bucks into the account hosted by the nice people at Sportsbet. My one last night got rooted when the Victory didn't score more than 2.5 goals, so, I'm about to crack a can ($9.90 six pack of Mountain Goat's generic stuff that's very similar to their original Summer Ale β good on ya, equally good people at Woolworths-Dan Murphy's) and have a look at a few bets.
What are you guys thinking?
β’ The Central Coast Mariners are at 4.33 to win. They're actually higher than the Roar on the ladder (this surprised me). In Brisbane though. The draw's at 4. What do people think?
β’ Newcastle - Wanderers is pretty weird. 2.30 - 3.60 - 3.10. What is up with this? Wanderers have been a decent team to watch. They're also fourth and have won their last two, while the Jets haven't won all month and are second last. It's also not a big journey. What's the go here? There's also Western Sydney Wanderers to lead at 30 minutes for $4.33, Wanderers to score in both halves at 4 bucks, and corners (for the game) at $2.45 (the Jets average the most in the league at 13.4, Western Sydney about 11).
β’ Tomorrow, Western United at 3 bucks to draw at home v Sydney FC isn't too unlikely either. I feel like Sydney's overdue... something.
β’ Wellington no fuckin chance to beat Adelaide. In Adelaide. The $5.50 they're on should be about double that.
I've gone, in the Brisbane-Mariners game:
- over 9 corners
- 1st half 0.5 or more goals
- goal scored both halves
- Roy O'Donovan to score
- Mariners to win
= $21.25
For Newcastle-Western Sydney:
- over 12 corners
- over 1.5 goals
- 1st half over 0.5 goals
- both teams to score
= $4.50
Western United-Sydney FC:
- draw
- Diamanti to score
- Le Fondre to score
- over 5 corners
= $23.50
Adelaide-Wellington:-
Adelaide over 2.5 goals
- over 6 corners
- a goal in both halves
- 'Nix under 2.5 goals
= $7.50
We clearly see that Mike wasn't cool with shooting Clementine in the woods. Would Mike just confront Arvo a little bit and say: ''Dude, you shot a little girl! She handed me the gun over! That wasn't necessary!'', and then just go with Arvo? Would Mike abandon him, or worse, kill Arvo? You thoughts?
As much as I hate Arvo and Bonnie, I think Mike's okay. Besides, it would be interesting to see what happened to them. Same goes with Molly, who was imo a better version of Jane.
I'm suspecting most of the posts on Lilly are due to fresh feelings (the most recent episode came out a few days ago), but I still think it's worth asking.
He definitely was
forgive me for being ootl, I just wanna know why everyone seems to hate Arvo over Carver and Lilly, to me he just seemed like a silly young boy that wanted to survive
