A list of puns related to "The 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time"
Didn't have to blow up or be "influential," just had to be great.
You start with shine on you crazy diamond, this song has such a uplifting feel and when you hit the vocals, it feels like there is still hope for syd. Then you venture into welcome to the machine, a harsh mechanical lifeless feel where everything is processed on a assembly line. This song and have a cigar are hard to listen to, not because they are bad but because they have a sarcastic and depressing tone and feel. Welcome to the machine especially excels at this because it shows that everything that you do is controlled by the industry for profits. Then have a cigar plays with a sarcastic feel with lines like βby the way, which ones pinkβ and βhavenβt you seen the chartsβ showing the idea of statistics and not really caring about the band as the line of βwhich ones pinkβ is based off of real conversations with executives. With the album having the core theme of syd Barrett. These two songs feel like syd getting chewed up by the industry which causes him to go to drugs. Then we get to wish you were here. This song needs no explanation. And then my favorite song of the album, shine on parts 6-9 my favorite being the 8th. This is song is amazing because it ends a otherwise darker album on a uplifting note but not erasing the message of welcome to the machine and have a cigar. This is my opinion so if you think other wise then Iβd like to hear your thoughts
I know this is a kendrick sub but I think itβs good and important to reflect and give the deserved recognition to Illmatic. An album that represents everything we know and love about the genre, an album that transports you to NYC through Nasβ eyes, an album that changed the industry through the use of 5 producers on one album, an album that will never grow old, a perfect album.
Do any of you think that Kendrick could, or maybe already has, delivered on the same level as this album or is Illmatic the undisputed goat hip-hop album?
βParanoidβ currently losing to Bowieβs βZiggy Stardustβ. Canβt be having that! You can vote here if you want to: https://www.facebook.com/1604830176296354/posts/2572921496153879/?d=n
That is all.
Currently three hours left and beating Kanye West by about 900 votes. Vote!

The Blue Album currently in third place behind the Strokes (wtf) and Radiohead in this current grouping. Vote here, you may have to join the group but itβs been pretty fun.

It really has everything. This one album covers more ground musically than 99% of other bands' entire discographies. The best instrumentation across such a broad range of instruments, and beautiful, smooth transitions that make sure there is never a break in the action. A majority of the songs are in my regular music playlist, but I have a hard time staying away from the album in its entirety. There isn't a skippable track or boring moment at all to be found. TDH has an amazing discography all around, but IMO this is the one that I think Casey will have a hard time topping (though he'll certainly try!).
Canβt believe itβs currently losing to Faith No Moreβs βThe Real Thingβ (Patton fans are crazy, lol). Vote for it here and letβs put FNM to bed: https://www.facebook.com/groups/480850202533602/permalink/509990109619611/
Pretty sure you have to join the group to vote but itβs been pretty fun.
It was in the lead but is now losing to U2βs Joshua Tree. Only a few hours left to vote here:

NOT A SINGLE ALBUM IS ON THE LIST
So after checking out both the Greatest Album of All Time by Dodge & Fuski and also the Greatest Remix Album of All Time I would agree these are both great albums and solid in their own rights but for me fail to take the Greatest Album or Greatest Remix Album crown. (Iβm sure the titles are more tongue in cheek but Iβm also sure they set out to make an album of great quality)
This got me thinking - What would you guys consider to be the best dubstep album of all time? And also the Greatest remix album?
Having only gotten into dubstep in a big way over the last few years I would say Excisionβs Apex album might take the title for me with the upcoming remix album to potentially be incredible! PhaseOneβs Transcendency is also incredible and hopefully we will get a remix album as well! Iβm also looking forward to getting stuck into Xilentβs We Are Dust!
Iβm sure thereβs plenty I havenβt even heard so would be intrigued to hear everyoneβs opinion on the best dubstep album of all time? ππ€
If Iβm being objective, itβs Dr. Whom.
I just did this post for the greatest Kanye song, buuutttt...
You have come across someone who has never heard of Kanye West and would like to know the one album that defines him. What are you choosing for this person to listen to as the all-time greatest Kanye West album?
Vote for Gish on βThe Greatest Album of All Timeβ poll on Facebook. Gish currently losing to Songs For the Deaf by Qotsa which is crazy. Gish is way better. You may have to join the group to vote. Forces assemble! Lol
