I left Watertown going east on I90 at 6:15 and 2 hours later I haven’t made it to the entrance of the Ted Williams tunnel yet.

Looks like the only way to drive out from Boston to East Boston without paying toll is now only through Malden Bridge (Route 99) or Fellsway (near Assembly/Wellington).
I'm not sure that the detour would worth it for anybody though if you are going out from Boston (and not, say, Somerville).
On the bright side, it seems like the toll charge is now half of what you used to pay when going through the tunnel, so you should be paying the same amount if you are going and coming back using the same tunnel.
Just so you aren't surprise seeing the toll collector when driving out from Boston on I-90, Tobin Bridge, and Sumner Tunnel.
I have a friend with a 446 flight out of town. Without being able to take the buses to the airport for the time being I need to drive him, which sucks. There is no canceling or anything he's a Coast Guard visiting from California who's on leave and has to get home by tomorrow. Any ideas on how to best get to the airport among all this craziness?

I saw in a thread that SDS wasn’t able to secure Ted or Cobb for 21. Is this true? Cause that kinda sucks, not making a big fuss but I at least thought Ted would be a mainstay for a while
