A list of puns related to "Ted Dibiase"
Does anyone think he would have been an interesting choice if they hadn't gone the obvious route of having it be McMahon instead? ? I mean, he would probably never have done it considering how much he supposedly hated the Attitude Era, but:
He was a great mouthpiece and had a real authority demeanor to him. Hell, he was even the original 'boss' of the NWO before Bischoff took the role
He looked like a satanist when he was dressed in all black
He was the one who initially brought The Undertaker - and Steve Austin - into the WWF, so there would have been some cool history to pull from
Plus, the old saying about money being the root of all evil? That would have been a great line for him to use in a promo considering his millionaire status and his decision to become a satanist (or at least associate himself with a lot of 'em.)
Out of these two amazing workers who do you think was the better overall heel. Both were booed out of the building back in the day and they were tremendous workers as well. Both shouldβve been a heel WWE champion as I think they both had enough heat that people wouldβve paid to see a baby face chase them altho I know not everyone needs the title. But who was the better heel overall?
Iβd go with Dibiase as those Million Dollar Man segments where he picked people and paid them to do certain acts got him real heat from the fans. Thatβs not to count out Rude though who was always booed during his posing after the βcut the musicβ part of his entrance.
But what do you think?
I was looking up old house show results and came across this match from March 13st, 1991 in Niagara Falls, NY.
The main event of this house show was a battle royal with some of the best wrestlers of all-time. Names such as Bret Hart, Ted Dibiase, Kerry Von Erich(Texas Tornado), and Shawn Michaels. And some of the most recognizable wrestlers from the 90s such as Earthquake, Davey Boy Smith, and Jim Duggan.
Virgil winning this colossal main event was shocking. I know he was getting a push at this time but I did not expect the WWF in 1991 getting more behind Virgil than Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart.

He apperead in NOAH for like two months in 2007. That was before he signed with WWE in 2008.
He wrestled mostly in tag matches, but also had a few single bouts.
