The characters are barely a first draft and flimsy. The motivation behind the plot is exceedingly thin. Angelina Jolie and Jon Bernthal just kind of stumble and mumble their way through the movie.
The fire in the movie is devoid of reality. Everyone in the film should have been dead by the end.
My favorite part was that Angelina Jolie was suffering from extreme PTSD and was constantly doing dangerous things that could kill her. Hence, they banish her to a remote fire tower for several months of being alone.

Apparently he gave up acting after he turned 40 and got really into screenwriting. He wrote Sicario and co-created Yellowstone. I knew of him as a writer and knew his face from Sons of Anarchy, but I just connected the dots after seeing his name scrolling by in the credits while rewatching VM! Sorry if this is common knowledge- I had not put it together that they were the same person...
I am enthralled by his creativity. Never knew he existed until I received my copy of Cowboys and Indians. That's when I discovered Yellowstone. Bought all three seasons and caught up. Been binging. With c19 lockdown, I have been thoroughly entertained. What can I say about the music? Have streaming radio. I listen to the music all through the night hours because it loops. I have finally managed to put the songs with the episodes. Have about 16 so far. The music is soothing to sleep by. I have the soft and raucous on separate loops. Then there's Chris Stapleton and Ryan Bingham's music. I have also made a game out of spotting Travis in quite a few scenes. Very enjoyable. The scenes with the horsemanship and reining and cutting are superb. Checking out product placement is fun. I guess my one request would be to see more Appaloosas in the show. One last note. Someone asked about their hats. I can tell you they are high dollar. Even Tate's isn't cheap. Used to work in the hat dept at Wendy Ryan's in Fort Worth in the Stockyards.
